- Hi Guys. In this video is shown how to replace the Volvo S60 T5 audio unit which is located underneath the passenger seat. This seems to be a common failure that occurs in average at 100.000 miles. At the beginning of the failure, the audio start to come in and out frequently and later on it is gone at all. You can also listen as if just one speaker were working alone.
This failure affects the radio in a way that create the appearance that it is mute and therefore we think that the radio is malfunctioning, however this problem has nothing to deal with the radio but instead is the Audio Unit is the one that is damaged.
The Audio unit is hard to find as new brand (even from the dealer) and much more expensive, so that is why you will find a better option getting it as a remanufactured, that is the way I get it as these units can be fixed without compromising the sound quality, and over all this advantages, you would get money back if you return the broken unit called ~CORE~.
Finally, there is no need of software or configuration actions to make this unit work, the only thing that I recommend to do is to reset the audio settings after installing the new unit, and this procedure is also explained in this video.
✅In the link below, you will find the website where I purchase the REMANUFACTURED audio unit.

Mine is a bit different. The radio/media does not work, and i get no camera feeds. I pulled the Amp and see burnt components inside so I am pretty sure that is part of the issue. Would that also make teh cameras stop working? I looked up amps and there are at least 3 or listed. I don't believe I have a subwoofer. How would I know if I have ANC?
@@Psu89Hi Marofky. I would replace the burn component before hand. I can't give you an exact answer about what is the cause of the cameras signal lost. First of all reset the audio to factory settings so you can make sure it is not a configuration issue. Regards!
@@elgarajededaniel thx. Having trouble locating a replacement. Mine match the part number of my amp. I’ll keep looking.
@@Psu89 did you try the part # listed on the description of this video? There you can get the full Amplifier.
@@elgarajededanielthe dealers I called told me this part number. Part # 36013556
They also told me it needs programming. I’ll have it in a few day and will find out.
If you still have audio from the sirus, just disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for at least 8 to 10 minutes and reconnect it. It worked for me after spending 4 months without the radio.
I bought a new JBL long barrel shaped speaker on sale from $159- $129. I programmed/Bluetooth it to my iPhone. I just place behind on the radio shelf between the dash and radio. Works great plus no 💩 commercials with Spotify. Plus the speaker is now portable. I take it on the beach. Volvos suck just look at all the problems they have. Christ they can’t get a radio to work right.
You didn't have to program the amp or did they dealer program it prior?
Hi. You don't have to program it, just reset the factory settings as is shown in the video and that's it.
@@elgarajededaniel Thanks for the vid. There was a lot of misinfo out on this.
Did the same thing, but I pulled mine from the junk yard for like $40, same model amp. Everything started to work!!!
@@mikewill1740 Wou you were lucky to be able to get the unit for 40, just the core is 300 bucks. Good to know your audio is working back again.
My radio stopped working so I bought a JBL speaker and pair it up with my iPhone. Sounds great and paid $125.00 for the speaker on sale. Plus I take it on the beach or at my pool.
Did the screen go black? Or did the screen work?
If you don't have audio, I'm sorry to tell you that the problem is the amplifier.
You do not need to do any up date to the vehicle after this
Ebay the most economical solution
Retains the last one you had
