Hi, some info for people with the same problem as me. I needed an additional cable connected to the amplifier. This one is in the back of the Volvo v50 and requires really a lot of work and effort to route the cables all the way to the back. Haven't done it yet, if I will I will post the results

Also, everything on the original screen does work Hope this helps
If you turn the right selector knob on your radio and you see the aux setting, then you have aux Alternatively, if you see a cover that says aux by the cupholders between the driver and front passenger seat, then you also have aux
Hey boss, my radio won’t turn up so I’m think about switching to this head unit. I’ve changed the antenna module, amp & original head unit & I’ve had no luck. Do you think this will solve my issue?
It depends if your volvo has aux or doesn't. If it does have the aux function, then this won't solve your problems as you need to select the aux setting from the radio. However, if you don't have aux, then go for it, as your problem is most probably to do with the fibreoptics inside the car for the radio. As the screen bypasses the fibreoptics, it would work. Again, it depends on what type of volvo you have. Here is the link for the android head unit if you do not have the aux function: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314566818009
That means that you don’t have aux in your radio. In this case, you need another head unit. Here is the link: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314566818009?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vkcosyhktgw&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=vkcosyhktgw&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Okay, I will have a look. Another problem is that on the screen the parking sensors are showing the wrong side ( front for rear)
Hi, some info for people with the same problem as me.
I needed an additional cable connected to the amplifier. This one is in the back of the Volvo v50 and requires really a lot of work and effort to route the cables all the way to the back.
Haven't done it yet, if I will I will post the results
Thank you. Very helpfull
Mine does not aux altough its 2006. Any with android 12? There are several on alliexpress but not sure if they work without aux. Also does the original radio still works for anything? Thanks
Hi mate
The ones on aliexpress are only for if you have aux.
If you don't have aux, here is the link for the one that you need: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314566818009?hash=item493da4b8d9:g:-8IAAOSwaNJkUWS9
With regards to android 12, I would say that you honestly don't need it as everything is supported in the screen.
Also, everything on the original screen does work
Hope this helps
Does that have SIM card
@@c2fixit thanks
How do I know if I have the aux or not ?
If you turn the right selector knob on your radio and you see the aux setting, then you have aux
Alternatively, if you see a cover that says aux by the cupholders between the driver and front passenger seat, then you also have aux
Hi where are you based do you supply these and install
Hi mate.
Where are you based?
@@c2fixit Hi mate gr8 video! could you install it on my 2006 volvo xc90 ? and what will you charge?
@user-ir7sx4gr6t hi mate
Where are you at?
Much appreciated buddy, I don’t have the aux function
I would suggest buying it
What's it like driving in the dark with it up so high?
It’s fine, I just lower the brightness a bit and it’s perfect
My own dont have the gray cord behind please help
That means that you don’t have aux in your radio.
In this case, you need another head unit.

@@c2fixit thanks for replying but is it safe to just use the green one alone and leave the gray harness unused? My radio works fine everything works fine I just need Bluetooth to play through the speakers and possibly run a sub woofer
is this also compatible for v70 2005-2008 ?
This specific screen isn’t, but ask the seller from the screen in the description
He might have some from another model
How about parking system? It still works?
The sensors work perfectly and the camera comes on once you shift into reverse
I bought this one from the link you shared, but after a month its started to lag and bluetooth keep disconnected, have you encountered anything like that?
I usually restart it when this happens
Just swipe down from the top, and press reset.
It will restart your android screen.
Don’t forget to close the apps that you are not using from the app switcher
Will try that thank you. Also quick question do you have any link or video on how to use the different functions of the screen ? Thanks
I will make a video on that
Does it have Bluetooth for android?
The one for no aux
Yes, it has android auto
Hi there pal
I have the same unit as yours
But mine didn't come with the reverse camera lead that plugs into the back of the unit
If your not using yours could I buy from you
I'm more than happy to pay over the odds
Thanks Davey
Hi mate
Where did you buy yours from?
@@c2fixit morning
I bought from eBay company called blingmedia
But was missing the reverse camera plug lead
@@c2fixit I just realize you have made a video of reverse camera install
So that means you have used the wire that I was hoping to buy from you
Can you source spares at all ?
I would ask the guy from the eBay listing in the description
He is not answering and is totally blanking me
So I need to try and source this, do you no where I could try and get spare wire
My setup resulted in a lot of audio feedback. Any idea on how to resolve this?
Hi. Will this ANDROID fit a 2004 years XC90 (without AUX)?
This one will not, but the other link in the description will
Here is the link: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314566818009
@@c2fixithey there nice video. I also have 2002 xc90 but how does the unit you mention without the aux version manages the sound. And is there any chance i can find this version in Europe.
Even though the screens are in USA, they still come quite quickly.
Mine took 10 days to arrive
I don’t know how the audio works, but here’s a link for a video where it is installed: ruclips.net/video/YeVNg1JA6E8/видео.html
Thanks, I will install mines soon.
Have you ordered from the link in the description?
I don’t like that it plays through aux can’t it play through the car regularly
It plays through the car speakers, but you just have to set the radio to aux
You do this because if it didn’t have this, then you wouldn’t be able to use the original radio
Looks good. What do you not like about it? In terms of usability?
Honestly, it works well for what I want it
Sometimes, the wireless CarPlay doesn’t work well, but the wired one works flawlessly
Just takes a bit of time getting used to it
I really recommend it though
Link for it is in the description
@@c2fixit thanks man from the states. I’m considering doing this, but the plastic in my car is so brittle I anticipate a bunch of cracks. It’s been baking in the sun for a decade.
@2steaksandwiches665 hi mate
I don’t think this would impact the screen in any way
Very good 😊👍
Thanks
Its sad for me it never turned on (c30 volvo )
The original one or the android one?
@@c2fixit android
Navigation work
Dvd work
Base console work
But android one never turned on
Have you checked all of the connections
@@c2fixit yeah.. during 2 hours
Can you add dab to this unit
lol. you can really upgrade an older 2002
Useless if it does not retract like the OEM one. Thief magnet
I would beg to differ
A thief would not be able to remove it anyway, but even so, many cars have non retractable screens
I don’t think that many people would go for a 15 year old car
hello, is there any for 2004 s60?
Hi mate
Followed this and everything works except my parking sensors. Seller says they supposed to not work after they install. However from what I’ve read online with the same unit, others have still got working parking sensors. Mine is a 05 non aux. Also front left speaker and rear right speakers don’t work, any ideas?
Appreciate any help!
The parking sensors only work if your car has aux.
If it doesn’t have aux, then the parking sensors won’t work
For the speakers not working, check the red and white rca inputs, that’s what I think the problem could be
@@c2fixit thanks for the quick response. Is it possible to wire a speaker into the original unit to still have the parking sensors sound?
And thanks I’ll look into those cables
Wiring a speaker for the parking sensors is a great idea, might even get your original radio to work
Just need to find the output of the factory radio and find a pin out
Let me know if that works though, sounds interesting
@@Ranj-d2e Did you solve the issue with the parking sensors?
