    This video brought back high school memories of the virtual simulation in drivers Ed. My high school boyfriend had a 90” Mustang 5.0 stick shift he tried to teach me how to drive. After about 1 hour later, he started complaining of a headache, backache, and whiplash 😱 Well that lesson was over🤣🤣 Unfortunately, my high school did not teach students how to drive a stick😩 I’ll remain a road runner with my Automatic!! Thanks for the online lesson Will😃

      You should look into cars that come with a DSG! You can still up and downshift but with paddles instead of a shifter knob. Plus they shift in fractions of a second.

  • @chrislikewater
    @chrislikewater 2 года назад +1

    I wish there was a way to skip gears. For example, with a traditional stick shift, you can be driving in 4th gear…see a red light far away in the distance, put it in neutral and then coast for a bit anticipating the stop. If the light turns green before you get there and you have slowed down significantly, you can drop it in 2nd and continue on. With paddle shifting you have to go 4, 3, 2…and the car feels like you’re getting thrown forward with each shift….right? Or do you just double tap the left paddle and it reacts quickly?

    • @WillMotivation
      @WillMotivation  2 года назад +1

      It will react pretty quick but newer cars have a feature that will allow you to skip down or up to the best gear for your speed by holding down the up or down shift paddle

    I just started avoiding downshifting in my Murcielago
    My mechanic says to just let it roll in neutral rather than dropping gears to help the life of the clutch, so far it's pretty easy to adjust to.

    • @a.t.lawofficepllc
      @a.t.lawofficepllc 2 года назад +1

      So question about that, when you do that, let it roll in neutral, but didn’t come to a stop and need to let’s say accelerate back again at 4th gear, doesn’t it have to go through gears 1,2,3 first before getting to 4? And wouldn’t that damage the clutch? Even if for a split second you go through gears 1-3 at 4th gear speed? Idk if I explained that clearly. U know in a traditional manual u can go straight to 4th gear after neutral. Just got mine and it’s being delivered tomorrow

    Nice video man 👍 I have bought a Gallardo with the E-gear. I wonder about 2 things; first question is if you also think the steering is really heavy compared to other cars? I feel mine needs a lot of force when I turn the steering wheel.
    Second question is if you have tried shifting gears whitout taking your foot off the gas pedal? Is it normal that you almost get thrown forward when you do that?

    • @WillMotivation
      @WillMotivation  3 года назад +2

      Yes the shifting is normal and why a lot of people love the drama of the egear lambos. As for heavy steering yes I do recall it being heavier than most cars for sure.

  • @floridaheat305

    When your stopped at a red light with the brake pressed your not burning the clutch. It's only engaged when you start pressing the gas pedal, you should still put it in neutral for long stops to reduce wear on the pressure plate. Also faster shifts will actually wear the clutch more because the car will actually dump the clutch on every shift instead of smoothly letting it out. If your just driving normal put it in a low setting and ease off the gas like a regular manual for best clutch life!
