This makes a lot of sense since whenever Flowey and Asriel refer to Chara they both use the name that we've chosen. Proves once more that Chara was never the one in control. We are.
I really like this interpretation! I even heard from someone else, Chara only finds their purpose after you kill everyone, like you’ve possessed her.
I like knowing Frisk is the one in control.

In Deltarune, does the BeSweet command in the Werewerewire fight affect other enemies' acts? If so, can you put a Werewerewire into boss fights to make them go quicker?
Edit: The final round of the 'Ch2 All Stars' challenge in the Castle Town Dojo does consist of two Werewerewires at once, and there BeSweet actually does affect both enemies' acts. So this might work?

Your name is CHARA because it’s an abbreviation of character, it’s a common abbreviation used as a placeholder for the player’s name in most games, Chara is called “The True Name” because that’s the default placeholder name in the game
I'm wondering what would happen if you did the Papyrus date right before midnight. Does the part of the interface that tells you what day it is change at midnight?
Also, what would happen if you could call characters in any room, from secret rooms to testing rooms? Would it just say that no one picked up or say something different?

So the true canon name is indeed CHARA. But with all caps. Seriously, did Chara's parents not know about lowercase? Because I knew that it was Chara, but I didn't know that the canon spelling was in full caps.

I think "Chara"'s not really the canonical name of the human in the green clothes, since CHARA- is just a stripped down version of CHARACTER. And knowing that tne maximum number of characters a name can have in UT is 5, it could make sense that it's just the default name as a fallback.
Edit: Oh, didn't know it was 5. And considering the comments, it was just a theory but seems like you guys are right :)
