- This choir is from Moscow.
They were recorded while they were touring through the Europe.
They defiantly are the great bunch with beautiful voices but it looks like this group gathered just for the tour. Nobody saw or heard of them after.
I tried to find them and invite for the tour to US but unsuccessfully.
RCF - Reunite Cultures Fund organize and manage such groups for the tours to USA since 2003.

I would genuinely love to know the name of the CD and would spend significant money to acquire it. This recording is one of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard.

Undoubtedly one of the most gifted vocalists in the world. After listening to this several times, I purchased the excellent 3-cd Doros collection. Regrettably, from reading the translated Russian comments, it appears that the soloist here, Egor Chernegov-Nomerov, has not performed for very many years, his whereabouts unknown.

У него было свое дело, да, по дезинсекции и дератизации, и это не значит, что он сам выполнял эту работу, но главное - это было много лет назад и дела больше не существует. А сам он пропал с поля зрения всех, никто не знает, где он, уже много лет. Есть предположения, что он ушел в закрытый монастырь,но это только предположения. Если не верите, можете позвонить в Консерваторию, его преподаватели и друзья тоже хотели бы знать, где он и что с ним.

Но есть определенная категория людей, не наделённых особым дарованием, но с помощью связей занявших ключевые места, и, при этом, сознающих свою творческую несостоятельность. И чтобы не потерять эти свои места они прикладывают много усилий, чтобы по настоящему талантливые люди как можно меньше добивались успеха и не претендовали на те самые теплые места. Увы. Таковы реалии настоящего времени.

I first came across this video in 2008 at the age of 16 and it really impacted me. I've come for years back to this video, it has such power.... It's like therapy. It's incredible. To me, and I hope not to offend or start some discussion about the topic, to me religion is some personal hobby, it is equivalent to a favorite sports club. Meaning it is very real for those who encourage the club each saturday on a rainy football field. It gives real emotions but does not contain any truth other than shared by those believing that this year, this year we will become european champion or something similar. But it helps if you have great club music. And this chap can belt out a tune like few others.

I have nothing but respect for Russian music, and culture.....to me at least, it is so much richer and more sincere, than anything that America has produced......Yet, we NEVER get to see this great culture in Western Europe, unless we actually SEARCH for it.....

Он вроде учился на дир-хоровом отделении в московской консерватории. Я когда несколько лет назад впервые это увидел - нашел как его зовут, у кого он учился. Но где щас и что делает не нашел. Все равно спасибо ему и ими большое - они меня много раз в жизни этим поддержали.
Последнее что я нашел о нем - то что он работал в отделе кадров в какой-то фирме такси.

Said her late dad, Wim, was a believer. And that she was named after him. Together we lit a candle for the repose of his soul and asked the Holy father to mention him in prayer. By the way, if you say in Russia that you are "Datch" then everyone will think that you are Danish. In Russia we call the Dutch "Hollanders". 🙈

Wow his voice is so pure, Glory to our Lord and God Jesus Christ who bestowed his blessing on us and gave us this beautiful chanting that brings us close to him.
Simply amazing - I cannot reconcile the beauty of what our Russian brethern sing and promote with the antagonism of the West towards Russia. There is something trully divine in the practice and promotion of the Christian faith.

I am an atheist and I don't understand what he says ,but man I enjoyed it and it gives me the same chills I got when I watched it 6 years ago ,pure beauty .art and talent unite everybody.
I'm an atheist as well, and the Russian Orthodox Church is probably my favorite church due to the culture, art, and expecially the music. When I have trouble sleeping, I always listen to this, or if I'm worried. It calms your emotions and it works very well. I applaud the mucisians of this art

How can one not understand that we as man and woman have been created by a hand that is beyond our understanding. This music as it was composed and here performed is meant to convey a part of our existence that is beyond our understanding, but shows that they still exist...that is the essence of faith.

Да! Хор душевно звучал, а солист вообще профессионал, так благородно и мужественно звучит форте, и такое нежное и тонкое пиано, очень редко так поют в наши дни, просто убедил что он ангел! Хорошо-бы достать ноты в этой тональности и самому спеть.
