    There was never a time like when it became crystal clear that Jesus did it all and nothing has motivated me more to share that truth or seek to live a life in honour to Him than when it also became so clear that His love for me will never change.
    Oh how I wish all would embrace the promises of Jesus.

    I'm 56 years old almost 57 have attended church just about my entire life. I grew up down south in a Pentecostal Church and I'm not blaming that denomination but I will say at least in my area it was extremely legalistic filled with fruit inspectors, judgment and criticism that has plagued me my entire life. It is pure torture and bondage. it's messages like this that are setting me free from that legalistic lifestyle that I have fought against for decades thank you thank you for preaching the word of God.

      @@BibleLine your absolutely welcome. Thank you too. I’m thankful we have another preacher stand in the gap of the truth. To many preaching another gospel that can’t save a soul. I live in Washington state and if you could keep me in prayer to spread the gospel with others here. I’m not a preacher or anything. Just have a burden to spread the good news with others.

    What do you make of 1 John 3:7-10 and Matthew 7:21-23 This question is about others saying you need to have evidence of being a Christian and that you have to have true saving faith. I know it is an argument against the truth but I have no simple answer for it.
    What is a concern for me still is 1 John 3:7-10

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  2 года назад +2

      Good question. Many pastors love to use these out of context and change the meaning.
      Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus is talking about false prophets. Nevertheless, the point he makes here will apply to all people in the “every one” mentioned in 7:21. The people claim they have done “many wonderful works,” but God says “I never knew you.” Works have no merit with God when it comes to salvation. Our best is filthy rags (yuck! Isaiah 64:6), and we cannot earn eternal life. See Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, and Titus 3:5. (What does not by works mean??) The scripture cannot contradict itself.
      1 John 3 is very misconstrued, and we plan to start a verse by verse study soon! Here’s the key to the book: CONTEXT and AUDIENCE.
      The Apostle John is writing to saved individuals! How do I know? See 1:3 “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and truly or fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” John also calls them “little children,” and he often says “we” and “us” including himself amongst their standing.
      The point John is trying to get across is what is your fellowship with Jesus looking like?? He isn’t telling these already saved people to stop sinning in order to stay saved or get saved. He’s saying DONT SIN because it RUINS your fellowship with God. Fellowship is not the same as salvation. Think of it like your following. It waivers, but your salvation stance with God NEVER changes after faith in Christ.
      Getting to chapter 3, John is giving a description of the difference between our flesh nature (your first birth aka your body - see John 3:3-6) and the Spirit nature (the Holy Spirit that indwells you upon belief in Christ - See Eph 1:12-14, and Gal 5:16-17)
      Your flesh birth IS BORN SINFUL. It can ONLY sin. There is no righteousness with God through your flesh. This is why we have to believe in Christ’s payment FOR our sin to be saved. Once you believe you receive the Spirit! You now have wha we call TWO natures. (This also fits contextually into the book because there was a group claiming Jesus was ONLY physical, not spiritual - see the issue?)
      The flesh commits sin, and is of the devil. The flesh wants to serve self, pleasure, sin, and idolatry - you name it. The Spirit CANNOT sin because the spirit is “born if God.” - v. 9. This is why Jesus says “ye must be born again!” Your Spirit nature CANNOT and will not sin! This is why Paul says to “walk in the Spirit,” because if you are walking in the spirit, you are NOT sinning. Read 1 John with that in mind, and it makes so much sense!
      It’s written to saved people who are under some scrutiny, and John is encouraging them to walk in their Spirit birth! We, and they could still sin, but we do have an advocate through Jesus Christ (2:2).
      The same author says “ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life.”
      If I have to turn from sin TO BE SAVED, I will NEVER be saved because I have a sinful flesh nature. I’ve believed in Jesus Christ, and I have the Spirit nature sealed, indwelling me. I can now walk in righteousness even as He is righteous! I hope this helps.

    So what happens when a Christian (one who turned to Christ in faith) rejects Christ-no longer places their faith in Christ- later in their life to become a Satan worshiper (or even an atheist) and dies without returning back to God as taught in the Prodigal Son parable?

  • @user-kh1vo2fc6s

    Hello, Trent! Hello Jesse!
    What if after salvation a person himself out of ignorance put his head under judgment( accusation of satan)cause he considered non imputation of sin to be unfair(upbringing, Russia, stuff like that). And that mire of sin stuck to his flesh again.
    How to pull his flesh out of mire again( I mean that distinct sense of impunity in the flesh), because God saved his spirit, pulled out his flesh out of sin and he put his flesh back under sin… what do I do?… to feel that circumcision of the heart again, when you feel pure all over?

    Ty, is Sanctification the same as justification or a process while we are in our bodies or both?

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  2 года назад +4

      Justification is literally to be “declared righteous.” This happens upon belief in Christ. Sanctification can be found in three tenses: Positionally: the moment you believe you are set apart (sanctified) in Christ. You continue to be (2) sanctified practically throughout your life (not to be saved, but for discipleship and fellowship). The third is (3) Final sanctification which is simply the fact of you being in heaven without a sin nature. 1 you are set apart in Christ for eternal life, 2 you sanctify your life daily as you walk with God, and 3 you will be like Him in heaven.

      @@BibleLine I thought so, a few people on Facebook are trying to deny this and calling us legalists

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  2 года назад +4

      Yes, sadly. Scripture is clear that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9, John 3:15-18, 36). And this is not to take the Calvinist view either.. Works take no part in salvation, BUT works are necessary in the Christian life to be “profitable” (James), have “joy and fellowship” (1 John), and simply because we ought to “maintain good works” (Titus). We simplify this concept into the doctrine of 3 tenses of sanctification. Let no one cause you to waiver, even though some of the free grace camp are hurling accusations.

    Another good sermon. Thanks.
    Licence to sin was used by followers of Luther in the 1500's towards Catholicism. It was originally, permission to sin. Catholics were using the process of confession to the priest instead of relying on the sacrifice of Christ. How does one get a licence to sin? What s the requirement to attain It? lol
