Ville has been one of the biggest inspirations in life, and his music has always stuck with me for years, there’s something very special about this man’s artistry that is impossible to put in words. I was so sad when HIM parted ways, but now with this EP I’m completely ecstatic to hear more.
I"ve just found the song, like, a couple of hours ago. Since then I've listened to the song for like, 20 times. I'm a "die hard" HIM fan, I believe I know most of HIM songs by every note, so at some point I've said to myself, I want to concentrate to hear the voice, the instrumental lines - like, I got curious "to compare", the bass lines, the drums, the vocals - with HIM - only the natural desire, no? But I've so far failed "to separate" this song into some "isolated" sound lines. I've struggled "to separate and to analyze" it, and I've lost in that to it. The song takes and it rules, and it flies all by itself as a complete whole, it is heard as a complete harmonious whole only. I'm puzzled. Apart from my current shock... this is a perfection, the whole sound perfection that takes and does not let go from listening on and again. My moments of happiness now for me myself, for us all HIM fans.

I believe Ville wants to release these songs and more songs to come with the HIM vibe, he has said previously that he has 15 songs that are unrecorded/unmixed that he wanted help working on and get them released and those are the songs he had written from before HIM broke up. These 3 songs that just came out are some of the songs that were unrecorded/unmixed that he was talking about. He also said in a black and white finnish interview (if you seen it) "They will most likely sound like HIM" there was something else he said before that in the same sentence i don't remember. Point is though, enjoy the songs, be happy for Ville, even Ville is happy with them :)

I'm a "die hard" HIM fan, I believe I know most of HIM songs by every note, so at some point I've said to myself, I want to concentrate to hear the voice, the instrumental lines - like, I got curious "to compare", the bass lines, the drums, the vocals - with HIM - only the natural desire, no? But I've so far failed "to separate" this song into some "isolated" sound lines. I've struggled "to separate and to analyze" it, and I've lost in that to it. The song takes and it rules, and it flies all by itself as a complete whole, it is heard as a complete harmonious whole only. I'm puzzled. Apart from my current shock... this is a perfection, the whole sound perfection that takes and does not let go from listening on and again. My moments of happiness now for me myself, for us all HIM fans.

Agreed for Saturnine. And that's my fav. Venus Doom was also my fav album. I'm really glad he's back for sure and these songs are great but.... I wished for something different somehow... More matured... Deeper maybe... I dunno... But yes it's good it's... HIM without being HIM...
To me, Saturnine Saturnalia also has a clear Greatest Lovesongs feel to it.

I believe Ville wants to release these songs and more songs to come with the HIM vibe, he has said previously that he has 15 songs that are unrecorded/unmixed that he wanted help working on and get them released and those are the songs he had written from before HIM broke up. These 3 songs that just came out are some of the songs that were unrecorded/unmixed that he was talking about. He also said in a black and white finnish interview (if you seen it) "They will most likely sound like HIM" there was something else he said before that in the same sentence i don't remember. Point is though, enjoy the songs, be happy for Ville, even Ville is happy with them :)
