    does it matter if you do not coat all the inside of the gourd? do you pour out the extra crushed charcoal or you just leave it inside? thank you for the video. very clear and concise. i like it!

    This is great! I loove Mursik. I grew up taking Mursik and its just gorgeous, kwanza ikiwa na ugali ya kisiagi! Well, whats the name of the tree whose charcoal you use? Would you know the English/ exotic name of that tree? Ad love to try making some Mursik.. :)

      We use charcoal to prevent undesired bacterial multiplication that causes food spoilage. This allows the milk to sour naturally.

      Hello thank you for watching... You just put ashes according to the amount of milk and make sure they don't turn black. Like a cup of milk you can put 1tspn of ashes. Thank you.
