This Exciting Pro Touring Pontiac Trans AM is scheduled to go to auction at Barrett Jackson - Palm Beach, FL on April 18-20th
Stock Number: 1850 - This 1978 Trans AM was built in the Norwood, Ohio, plant and sold new at Crown Pontiac, Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is a W72 400ci - V8 and Automatic Trans AM. The W72 option code designates the Hi-Output Engine for 1978. It puts out a respectable 220hp and is the original number matching the Pontiac engine installed at the Factory. This TA is fully restored and was treated to a 2 Stage paint job right here at Restore A Muscle Car. The rebuilt engine is cooled by a new aluminum radiator, and the car has an updated air-conditioning system. It rolls on Custom Billet 18" Snowflake wheels with New Tires. It is loaded with options, including the all-important Hurst T-Tops, and those details contribute to why this is such an outstanding Trans AM. This is one Pontiac that should be high on your list of cars to add to your collection

Doesnt look right....decals.........wrong engine color....not custom enough...not restored 100%....no theme.....

Unfortunately, it has the same problem as most, (in the case) the front LFT headlights are crooked. I own a 77 and had to work on this to get them right / straight. Gorgeous car and, as a "restored Bandit" my personal opinion is, it needs ALL the pin-stripe.
