100% agree on CFPB. Often they pick fights I don't understand but not letting incorrect medical information hurt an individual's score makes total sense. Collateral of medical devices is insane. Sounds so dystopic.
I like people who agree with me lol Overdraft fee fight was such a PR stunt... literally have to opt in/out at account opening. This fight seems worthwhile.
Is there a requirement to product change to the smartly visa? I've called US Bank regarding this three times over the past few months about product changing my shopper rewards card. Ever rep I have spoken to told me that product changing to the smartly is not allowed at all.
I’m with you on how much hospitals/insurance screw bills up! Few years ago we had twins and from start to finish was almost 10k in bills but was sent much more then 10k. Thankfully my wife’s job is dealing with insurance so we didn’t pay what they originally sent us due to the hospital incorrectly billing us for things insurance should’ve covered
I actually don’t mind the Ally 3% cashback card. I received a mailer around April 2023, applied, and was approved. I previously had an auto loan with Ally that I paid off, so maybe this was their way of bringing me back as a customer. Although you can’t request a CLI, Ally has automatically given me a CLI every six months, and the increases have been pretty generous!
Product change to Smartly, yes. Product change from Smartly to another card, not now but maybe later is what I was told. Again, that's from a CS rep to friend of the channel I imagine USB would want to get as many smarty cards out there in any way they can. As it brings the chance of a customer moving money over.
Too soon to tell. I did pay property taxes for two counties last week on the card. I was credited 4x on both. I think it'll be fine for the start. Then maybe next year USB will start to crack down
The 2% on everything card isn’t too bad. No ftf is the main draw. There aren’t two many catch alls with no ftf. The SoFi and Fidelity card are the two others that come to mind.

Ally announced layoffs and they’re ending mortgage servicing and now credit cards? They must have serious potential financial problems
Woulda thought they could figure out cards as a decent line of business. I'd like to know what their original plan was
Exactly what I surmised as well

The ally card is disappointing due to the lack of ability to request line increases on the app
Thanks for the info + video!
I have the Ally credit card used it only for gas and groceries for the 3% back and paid off every month now it’s just a shoebox card
That's fair. There are better options these days
What's going to happen to the ally credit cards people have?
So product changes to the Smartly are going to continue to be allowed?

@@RJFinancialis the 3% card that Ally bought still available for new customers? How do I find it?
@ No, that was killed off. I think it was invite only back then with Ollo as well
Not good signs for Ally!
Maybe 3rd time will be a charm with an Ally credit card acquisition, otherwise I'm going to start calling them "Lone Wolf Bank".
I have a 2.5% on everything Ally card. I use it as my catch-all. I'm curious how that is going to work in the future.
Does USBank crack down on tax payments with the Smartly card?

Quitting credit cards after never offering me one haha, I use them for checking and that’s about it now I will just store money and use it less ha.
😂😂 I seriously just moved my money out of ally last night over to SoFi…. Thanks RJ for bringing my hunch to fruition
Lol I just got the ally cc card 3 months ago.
Those Ally cards were terrible anyway lol.

No idea Ally had cards not like I would ever entertain one
