Awesome. I found one a year ago at an old thrift shop. About to take it on a date and get film for it to test it out. Hopefully it works

@@Shonath4n yeah ironically I just used it today. It works absolutely amazing. Even after I thought my girl friend broke it trying to open it, it worked great. We bought two film / battery packs from Amazon and used them all throughout the day and the pictures turned out great.

@@JerryTheAfroMan glad to hear that it works after all of that haha, it must have been nice to make memories like that with your girlfriend! I’m praying that I have the same luck when I get mines haha. I wanna take some cute date pics with my bf as well XD.

@@Shonath4n I really hope it works!! We took 8 photos today and they all are going up on a wall. It’s so cool to have the genuine picture come out that you can have physically instead of a basic selfie you take on a phone

I thrifted a camera like that but I don’t have film. When ut makes that sound after you put in the film, does it make that automatically or do I have to somehow charge the camera or smth?

Vintage Polaroids have no built in batteries like modern cameras! Each pack of 600 film have flat batteries to power up the camera so every time you replace a pack of film, you’re also replacing the batteries basically. The faint sound that you hear means that it’s powering on and you’re ready to go. Hope this helps!

@@alexysese1437i have a very old pack of film in one of these cameras, is there a way to replace the battery? I know the film will not work, but i would like to know if the camera still works before buying new film for it.

@@snail1635 not that I know of. The batteries are built into the plastic cartridge holding the film, doing so however will definitely expose the new film to light and damaging it in the process as the batteries are always below the film sheets. All cartridges are one solid piece of plastic with no latches or screws to hold it together. I borrowed a vintage camera and the only way that I got it to work was to buy a new film pack. It’s an awesome and niche hobby but it’s never the cheapest unfortunately

@@alexysese1437 The film i have is beyond expired, so the worry isn't in damaging the film. But if there still is no way to recharge the batteries, i guess i'll try to buy some new film soon :3
