The Raadha Kalpa Method is a comprehensive training program for Bharatanatyam devised by Rukmini Vijayakumar through her years of research on the mechanics of movement within the Bharatanatyam vocabulary. The philosophy of the training system lies in developing a neutral body and mind such that the dancer is able to be versatile and malleable within performance.
The program is primarily offered at the LshVa Studios, run by the Raadha Kalpa Dance company in Bangalore.

Thank you for reassuring that an arangetram is optional and not necessary. I learned bharatanatyam for 6 years X 6 days a week X 2 hours a day! But my arangetram remained a distant dream. My parents thought it was not necessary. So of all the students who learned with me only one rich girl - the daughter of a theatre owner - had her arangertram performed.
But that did not deter me from choreographing and performing with my sister and my friends for the veena music 'Sivaleela vilAsam' and 'rAdha mAdhavam' by Sri. Chitti Babu. The people in the colony where I lived were so impressed that they forced to become a dance teacher ( even though I was only a qualified music teacher till then).
My institution was named Sangeetha nAtyAlaya. Later I went to choreograph for my students many Annamayya songs and Telugu krithis since we were living in A.P. at that time.
When we are ready for the job, opportunities come to us knocking our door. I believe that Destiny decides our life. We must do our very best always and be ready to accept what comes to us.

A very good question!
Just to denote the long vowel sounds we use the capital letters.
The other choice will be to write as
'Siva leelaa vilaasam' and 'Raadhaa maadhavam' making them look like a goods trains.
Now no one will read these words wrong. 🙏🙏🙏

Which could be written as Naaraayaneeyam instead.
Also N and R denote the harsher version of na as Na and ra as Ra.

I did my arangetram when i was 9 yrs old after 3 hrs practice in week days 5 hrs in sundays and 3 reharsals for more than 1 yr. Started my practice when i was 8 and finally completed when i was 9. Still dancing and now i am 18

You have nailed it. Very much in resonance with what I have experienced as a resident of Mumbai. Many immensely talented young girls consider arangetram as an end. The statement: I 'have learnt' Bharatanatyam. Being an exponent of music, the tense and the modal auxiliary is questionable, isn't it. And you rightly pointed out the immense expense, which more often than not, exhausts the parents. I have a 48-year old friend who has been dancing for more than 35 years. She never got her Arangetram done

Mam ....just as you said.....I had my arengaetram 4 years back . Then I gave my entrance examinations and started my med school but in this span I couldn't attend my dance class .....but just now in this pandemic when I had ample amount of time I realised I could actually continue dancing , also though online platforms ( unfortunately my dance school aren't conducting classes online).
Mam it would be of great help if you would brief about various possibilities and opportunities of the stream after arengaetram a dancer could have.
