Depends on the matchups, my problem with Tatum though is the same you’ve probably heard from analysts he forgets he’s 6’10” and puts up stupid jumpers when he could easily just dunk on his defender in that moment.
People never watch jaylen browns game this season . He was going left & right , dunking on peoples head. He had a fire in him , he wouldn’t let himself be denied anymore. Im happy for him, i still see people seething that he won
When I saw JB start not just driving left, but finishing HARD with his left, I finally saw who he is as a player. Dude had a clear weakness and spent the whole offseason working on it to the point he could use his left whenever he wants in a game. His jump shot improved, he’s found “his spots” on the floor (a la Pierce at the elbow, KG from 18’) and his defense took another step up. I wasn’t always a big Brown fan but last season changed that. I love the dude, love his effort and intensity, his drive to be better.
Jaylen Brown definitely deserved finals MVP but let’s not just rag on Jayson Tatum shooting percentage. if you watched any of the finals games, you can see that he shot poorly, but he was literally everywhere else on the court getting rebounds, assists, playing defense, making the right passes and plays. He was everywhere.
Brown deserved it. I’ve been a Celtics fan since I started watching basketball and as soon as I saw brown play I knew he would be great. Still definitely underrated though and still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
While I don’t appreciate that this is still being framed as a “Tatum vs Brown” story, I very much value JB’s sacrifices being rightly rewarded with two playoff series MVPs. That kind of thing is a massive springboard into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
I’m a Celtics fan and not even finished w the vid yet but I remember during the Bucks Suns finals a few years ago the commentary abt how Cam Johnson was getting his masters degree while playing rotation minutes in the NBA finals and I couldn’t help but think players like him and Jaylen Brown being such complete scholars is going to have great affects on this league. Ok back to watching
Ok bud. Jaylen Brown was great, but let’s stop pretending that Tatum had a horrible series. He did everything defensively and his gravity with the ball was insane. He collapsed the Mavs defense with every play and made beautiful pass outs. Jaylen Brown would not have been so successful shooting the ball if Tatum wasn’t there to draw attention. Plus, he only had 2 objectively bad shooting nights. The other 3 were pretty good.
@@AidanS99 , Lmfao Browns primary defender was Luka, you don’t think Brown couldn’t beat Luka off the dribble even with a double team? Tatum’s problem is just shot selection and sometime lack of engagement.
Honestly no disrespect to JB but I wanted Jrue Holiday to win FMVP he had that one game where he carried the Celtics with 32 points on absurdly good efficiency and he was making winning plays the whole series tbh.
This is what’s makes this Celtics team so incredible tho. There’s enough good players where even if 2 of the starting 5 aren’t having a good game they can still pull out a win.
JB would be a first option on half the other teams in the NBA. He's also an elite defender and seems to constantly play with a chip on his shoulder. Underrated

whos the first option jaylen brown or tatum?
Easily Tatum that jb finals mvp was pretty undeserved it was like another 2015 iggy 😢
tatum
Depends on the Game and who is feeling it most. Two options. That's why they Rock.

Real talk 🗣 💯
Only person to lead team in points rebounds and assists and NOT get finals mvp
I’m with ya, and I think as the series progressed he really accepted what he needed to do until/unless his shot was falling

Jaylen Brown ENTER his 2nd YEAR PRIMES next season 💪🔥💪
Boston Celtics 2024 NBA WORLD CHAMPION 🏆
FMVP: Jaylen Brown
Quit spamming bro
People forget the only reason Tatum bumped Bron was because Bron bumped him the game before once he made a clutch 3
Who cares
No it was because he asked brown for a picture when he was 11 bron told him no ..so that was his revenge look it up they talked about it during USA
Jaylen’s going to be a MAN this year! He was fire last year but I think he’s going to have his best season by a wide margin this year
