- How long does it take to make a hyperrealistic cake? Usually, a LONG TIME. But today, I'm challenging myself to make a hyperrealistic cake in one hour or less 😨 Let me know in this comments if you think it was a success!

I think you won your challenge. It looks really realistic, especially how it was posed. It reminds me of a broken coconut you’d find on the ground at the beach. It’s amazing how well you can paint in such a short amount of time.

I’d love to see you do another coconut cake with unlimited time. If you make one THIS good in an hour I know if you have like 4-6 hours it’ll be indistinguishable from the real thing!

This cake looks amazing especially for it being made in an hour.
However when comparing it to your other cakes it does make it obvious that is not as hyper realistic as you’d hope. However I think it makes it over that line just barely.

Yup it does not look hyperrealistic. The shell looks like dipped in mud, the thickness of dark inner part does not look thin enough. The white meaty part texture does not look real. But for a one hour work it looks amazing.
I reckon it would be so cool to see a whole normal looking fridge filled with everyday things but it’s all actually cake

As the old saying goes, "You can't rush art". While I wouldn't say that it meets the standard for *hyper*realistic, it is still VERY impressive, especially for only giving yourself an hour. And I would absolutely be standing in line for a piece because a combo chocolate-butterscotch shell with white chocolate inside sounds flippin' delicious!

I'm surprised at how good this looks for such a short amount of time. Definitely a show to your skill.
As for its realism, it's definitely really close. I don't see a whole lot of coconuts on a day-to-day basis, but this did fool me. There was enough for me to tell it wasn't real, mostly with the colouring and the air(?) gap in one of the coconut chunks. But given the time constraint, I think you did the best you possibly could. Bravo, Natalie!
I was VERY skeptical at first and was confused how you were even going to put cake in it with the coconut all broken, but oh my god Natalie you really did it! A hyper realistic cake of a coconut in an hour!! It looks fantastic ✨✨

Possibly. The problem is that the skillet itself is too thin to put cake in, but maybe a little thick to have as chocolate. It would need some thought.
Oh man, I Loooooove my cast iron skillet. My favorite meal to do in it is chicken gravy and biscuits - all in one pan, straight from the stove to the oven 😉
You should make a tennis ball cake!!! It would challenge u to make fuzzy and I think it would be pretty cool to cut!!

I have been watching you for quiet a bit now, and this is the second time I think I’m going to request these two cakes.
A aquarium would be cool, either one of those huge fish tanks or small ones
Or a terrarium with plants, moss, and maybe some little living things in it

The coconuts inside part looked a little more white than it should be,but it is good for an hour.

As for the cake, all I can say is wow !! 😲 that's truly amazing. You definitely get a gold star 🌟🌟 actually you should get two gold stars.!! You gave yourself an impossible task and then smashed all expectations !! 😃 the cake looks amazing. I've said it once, and I'll say it again you are very, very talented, and I'm always impressed with the cakes you make 😊. I'd be interested to see how good it would be if you gave yourself all the time you need and didn't rush it. Although I have a feeling that there would be very little difference as you do seem to be a perfectionist hence all the cakes you make are amazing, and here is little old me who couldn't make a impressive cake even if my life depended. If somejne said here us a pictyre if a caje, make a cake just like that one or i will kill uou, id just plan my funeral 🤣🤣 The best I can do is throw cake mix into a cake mould and hope for the best, i will pount out though that always make my own cake mix and never use the boxed stuff, the only time we ever used box stuff was when my kids were little and they found star wars bun mix with little star wars characters to put on top of the, my kids used to love baking and we often made buns and other sweet treats together, when they saw the star wars bun mix they got so excited as we are a geeky family and they begged me to get some, of course we did they were ok but the kids said our own ones are better and asked if we could get star wars chocolate moulds like their dr who moulds so they could make their own next time . Hey, sometimes I really make a effort and make what we called marble cake back in the 80s where you split the cake mix into seperate dishes and add different food colouring to each one and throw it all into the mould so you get multicoloured cake, when baked, then i throw some chocolate and sprinkles on top and hope it tastes better than it looks, yep that's as good as it gets 🙈🤣 what is your favourite cake to eat ?? I know like fashion cakes also go through different trends and I was wondering what is your favourite and least favourite cake trend. Is there s cake trend that you wished was never invented ?? I think you won, to be honest if someone showed me that cake without me watching the video I would’ve thought it was a coconut. You did amazing under all the pressure and found out ways to make everything work out when things were going down hill, you did amazing and definitely won this challenge
