- We have taken our 2020 Golf GTI TCR to the next level - Stage 3, with the help from a Littco L500 turbo.
We’ve also added the following;
VIS HPFP
RS3 LPFP
NGK racing plugs
4 bar Map sensor
Littco software
Overkill Performance full custom 3” exhaust
Trackslag front pipe with sports cat

That really is a nice looking custom exhaust. Welds and bends are on point. I'm just not a fan of having loud noise 100% of the time, which is why I opted for an exhaust cutout on my MK7 GTI. Catless downpipe, with an exhaust cutout welded into the end of the downpipe, and then that downpipe is mated with the OEM factory exhaust the rest of the way down. Purrs on normal driving without any annoying loudness, and then a flip of a switch, and the cutout shakes the entire car, as well as gives it a very distinctive sound that only my GTI makes, as the cutout faces towards the bottom of the road, and echoes off the road while on WOT.

@@bognormotors. I guess loud is very subjective, but to me, all full exhausts are too loud for my desire as all-the-time driving. But like I said, your exhaust looks pretty sweet!
Great video. I’m still contemplating stage 1 for my TCR. Heck maybe I’ll even jump straight to stage 2.
They are great cars standard. We’ve had this at all three stages and loved each one

Great video i also have a gti tcr myself i want to go for stage 3 i currently have a 3.5 inch cattles downpipe and akrapovic exhaust cts intake race ignition coils hybrid is38 turbo only i doubt whether an intercooler upgrade is necessary and whether the oil cooler and oil catch can be necessary.

Beautiful motor, what advantage would you say there are for using Revo rf019 instead of rf018 both for daily road use and for the track? Or is it just to allow for caliper space?

Hi there, ive just bought a mk8 clubsport and just wondering how reliable it would be with stg1 as i think power jumps from 300ps to nearly 400ps just with mapping and would like to know how car copes with added power, does it cause any problemsto other components on car?

Stage 1 is very safe on a car, well within the limits of the vehicle
Did you have anymore videos or thoughts about revo gpf stage 2?
I currently run their stage 1 on my cupra 290 and am thinking of going stage 2 soon but can't find much on it.
We launched the Revo stage 2 on this car with Revo - video is on their channel.
Being a Revo agent how comes you didn’t go with there Stg 3 turbo package and keep it all in house? Also noticed the Revo Alcons have been replaced for AP.
Good spot 👀 Revo don’t offer a stage 3 package for the GPF cars unfortunately. We now work with Littco too so it was the natural progression for the stage 3 in this car.
@@bognormotors. didn’t realise the GPF cars weren’t supported, every days a school day 😄 noticed the brakes even before you mentioned them, I was the guy who bought your original TCR brakes for my Gti. Car still looks mega. 👍
So wait, maybe I missed it in the video. Was the car Stage 2 without an aftermarket downpipe?

Correct. The car was Revo stage 2 with standard GPF front pipe. Front pipe and custom exhuast was added for stage 3
I have had a haldex fail on my golf r and it turned undriveable. How do the front wheels handle this??
Surprisingly very well (unless it’s wet) it’s all
About graduating the throttle until you feel the front tyres bite. We run very sticky tyres when on track which helps a lot.
Golf R doesn't have the front VAQ diff the tcr, gti performance and cupra have. I've got a stage 1 cupra which puts its power down with no issues from 2nd gear onwards. Good tyres and modulating the throttle help. Can't just mash your foot into the carpet when you're fwd

I’m looking to go stage II on my 20 plate Cupra 290 Lux. It won’t ever see the track, purely Road.

Hi there , could u sort LPFP issues ? Any struggle due to not having Multi Port Injection on TCR while running Littco ?
No issues at all. This has been bullet proof
What size are the Oz wheels? Are they with spacers?
They are 19 x 8.5 with no spacers. Let us know if you need pricing. They are super light.
Can I ask why you went for a TCR over a 7.5 PP? Surely, when you swap out the IS38 and make this level of modification, the TCR-specific benefits are negligible?
TCR was always the better starting point - just the looks, styling and more limited run alone.
How has stage 3 held up on the car, any issues since you made this video? Mint looking car.

@@bognormotors.I was leaving Devil Developments on the easter weekend and I could have sworn I drove past your car. I've bought the L500 which I'm getting fitted by Littco at the end of the month as Devel Developments don't do Littco turbos anymore.

You should do that on the Golf R for even bigger numbers!
The Golf R has been done many times. And for us the TCR is the better package , especially on track. 500ps is about the limit without going for a fully built engine.
@@bognormotors. - Disagree. Way too way oversteer on FWD cars compared to AWD. Obviously RWD is best for throwing the back end around but I have owed both the GTI and R and the atter is hands down the better car for cornering and handling than the GTI which had a lot of body roll!
@@RDriver2.0 you’re mistaken, comparing gti to the R but not a TCR? The TCR is not only faster it’s more playful as it’s dialed in for track use.
Amazing to get the geometry such that yiu can actually deploy all the ponies through the front wheels. I was expecting the steering tugging all over the place on the cambers. Nice work.
Can you go stage 3 without removing the GPF to keep the car road legal?
