  • 2025 KTM 300 XC has arrived and has the same amazing TBI engine, better looks and new softer frame. Can't wait to ride this one and see if there is much difference between the 2024 and 2025 models. This dirt bike is one of the best cross country racers out there but is also a fantastic trail bike in the right hands. Many pass over the XC in favor of the more mild 2025 KTM 300 XCW but many are quick to do motor modifications to try and match the power of the 300 XC. This bike can do it all. It's crazy fast but can also do exceptionally well in the slow and nasty stuff. Please consider subscribing.

The swing arm was changed due to the way the chain got real tight when the swing arm articulated upward. Most guys run their chains too tight and it can cause serious issues, to include cracking the cases...KTM changed that portion so the chain doesn't get too tight when the arm articulates. If you have a 23 or 24 model, keep your chain much looser vs what the book calls for and that fixes everything. I go with four fingers easily where you check the gap and it's perfect. Hope that helps.

Same fuel tank design...nice job KTM. $12.5k OTD and can't use 1/3 of the fuel tank SMH.

I have the 23 version of that china bike, it ran okay for about fifteen minutes before endless visits to the dealer and updates. Absolutely horrific fuel pickup design. Dismal fuel economy, huge step backwards from tpi.
The colors are pretty much what everybody did with the 23+ bikes. Whoever decided to put purple and orange together should have to come apologize to every one of us that ended up with one of these heaps in person.

@@Dat_Sun I feel for ya as I too have had friends with issues. That said there are very few compared to those with zero issues. I’m at about 75 hours on my 24 XC with zero issues. I also have a 21 TX 300 TPI with almost 300 hours that is my all time favorite bike. So, what did you do?

@@dirtabletv I sunk eight hundred dollars into dealer diagnostics and updates, the bike still runs poorly. It only has a couple hours on it, I stored it about 13 months ago.
Before giving up on it, I purchased a tps position voltage sensor thing, I didn't have to make any adjustments, .50v base, I think. 60 with fast idle in if I remember correctly. I verified they were spot on where they were supposed to be.
I swapped over to the iridium plug, made no difference at all. I didn't really expect it to. Tried multiple pre mix fuel sources, no change.
At a racing pace , the bike runs fantastic. But it does not go slow at all, within minutes, it's fouling plugs at lower speeds. Upon inspection, I find a chunk of carbon or something has formed and closed the gap between the electrode and strap. I've considered custom tune, but I'm wary of throwing any more money at this thing.

Are these things seriously made in China now? That's crazy for a premium bike.
