@@mauropuglia7991yeah he really did. Mike as a character was tough when needed! But once he was with his granddaughter he was just a big softie.
It's the same in real life most of the time
The guy who plays Ramsay Bolton in GoT was a little too convincing as an evil, psycho, sadistic character, so much so that I had to find out if he isn't like that in real life. Apparently, he is one big softie dude.

@@abm_smokinaces8588 Pretty sure he wanted attention away from him and Bryan did exactly that.
Lmao
They repeated the same situation in real life.
It’s actually genuinely nice to see some actors who actually appreciate what they have.
I'm sure a lot of them do mate. It's just not spicy enough to generate money unlike drama and meltdowns. The unemployment line of actors is immeasurable and just getting a role is a feat in itself. There's many missed Oscar like performances out there that have gone to waste by actors that have put a lifetime into the game but for whatever reason they just never got... as he points out himself, "lucky".
To land one on a production that's as near as perfection as it gets, with a cast that's equally comparable, and in a role that you love is some pretty rare magic experienced by very few. It really is magic though otherwise the recipe would be known and replicated. 👍
I came to say exactly that. So often do we see actors play roles that they hate or they hate their co-actors. It’s so refreshing to see ones who genuinely felt like a family
@@yourdemise06another good example of a cast who feels like family that comes to my mind is scott pilgrim vs the world's

In BCS when Mike's talking about his son to his daughter in-law really great acting makes me tear up everytime.
Honestly the first time I saw that scene I didn't realize I was crying myself. The acting was so natural, so real, so raw you can't help but feel what he feels without even realizing it. Robbed for sure at the awards
the guy who had the least sensitive role charachter in the series, is the guy who is showing most sensitivity and expressing love , thats beautiful
He's actually really sensitive in the show too, just so much that he has locked it away. In his every single one of his scenes you can see Mike's pain in his eyes.
He's more sensitive than most. Have you seen the shows?
Have you seen better call Saul?
There is a giant lesson about life in this video.
Heres what I have been thinking.i just finished BCS (Had to wait til ot dropped on Netflix). Johnathan Banks is a working actor (most on both of the shows are). By that they get baddie of the week parts on Law and Order, or the crying spouse on CSI, or some random bachround charaecter in one scene in some movie. All of them have worked (and still work). Most werent house hold names before these shows. Yea we know Cranston as the dad on a successful sitcom, and Bob was always in the alternative comedy scene (Mr.Show) and Johnathan Banks was on some undercover mafia show in the 1980s, but by in large those arent huge everybody recognizes you roles. You go to work, you do some acting, you get a check, you go home. Banks has been a working actor on the fringes of stardom for decades. And now all of a sudden he is in a role that EVERYONE knows. There has to be a feeling of validation that all those years of hard work paid off, that by god you are a great actor. And to get that with a group of actors just like him, all sharing the spotlight together, has got to be an immensly humbling, and emotional thing. So go ahead Mr. Banks, show us the soft side, we love you all the more for it because its well deserved.
Mike was one of the best written characters of all time. So glad we got more of him in Better call Saul
How many times did he call Saul though?
@bluemamba5317 at least a dozen thru the series probably

To see an actor who is a well known favorite at that, be so humble and grateful that it brings them to tears, you know you have a winner. God bless Jonathan Banks.
I still remember him as the hitman in Beverly Hills Cop. Mike, on the other hand, is one of the most interesting characters of all time & he nailed it ❤
Mike was actually my favorite character from Breaking Bad and I almost cried when he died, this show is a masterpiece and everyone should watch it, the character developement on it is wild, Mike, Walter, Jesse, Gus, Saul, Hank, some of the most recognizeble characters of most of the shows I've watched, love them all and all the other characters/actors not mentioned here, but Mike is just something else man, insane interpretation, no other actor would give him so much life as Jonathan did
He was such a complex character that even though he did these awful, cold things you couldn’t help but feel some sort of warmth from him. I think his relationship with his granddaughter was a big part of that.
I stopped watching the show when he died. I really liked him….
@@MsKiniMini I did continue, and it really was worth it, but his death really made me sad as well, I expected him to end up alive or something, I cant believe someone like him died to walter...
Both shows and El Camino we’re absolutely amazing, I loved all of it!!! Hubby amass I only regret not giving the show a chance sooner!
One of my favorites fr.
It’s always the hardest ones with softest hearts.
the toughest character is so emotional
Crazy how he has played bad guys or tough guys for most of his career, but who knew he was such a sentimental softy in real life.
Such a great actor and Mike was a fantastic character!
Bryan Cranston is one of the funniest people off the cuff.
He is a comedian
Brian knows how to light up a room.
A lab too
And a nursing home
@@gigagrenade7249 Don't forget the neo Nazi hideout
@@danyo5786 Don’t forget Mike!
This show was well acted, well written, well directed!?!?! So many vivid characters brought to life.
Such a good series. It's a once lifetime acting gig and he is a beloved character
That comedic timing
Bryan going all Walter white style on the end 😂
We all love you too Mike. We do..
Jonathan Banks is a national treasure. Delivers one of the most memorable performances of one of the best shows ever made, and then does this in an interview. What a humble and talented man.
*international treasure
I love the way you saw that in this. I missed that but yes.. he has all reason to be misguided by ego and hubris... but instead he is true to himself. He is a man's man. Confident enough to feel emotion the way he did is badass. A weak man could never have channeled Mike the way he brought that Character to life is exceptional.
Mike's my favourite character by far. Hope he gets more big roles like that because he's a fantastic actor.
I think he can only play that kind of role by the way he looks.
What a awesome person. It's so awesome to see an actor with feelings
I don't think I've ever watched a show where every single one of the characters resonated so deeply with their actors
For me, there's been only one such show, but only barely so, and that was Scrubs.
*The sopranos entered the chat*
The guy that killed Axl Foley's best friend is actually on touch with his emotions, my inner 80s child is reeling
I am not convinced that he killed him. There were no Investigation
Omg!!! I didn't fucking know that!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Dude you actually remembered! That was what, 30-40yrs ago?
Lol. I watch BHC 1&2 every few years so I made this connection immediately. Just now watching BB for the first time.
Wow I've seen that movie one hundred times and somehow never put that together. I can even picture him with that 80s hairstyle and that dead look on his face. Good eye!
