For me, spiritual ecstasy in music is exemplified by the opening of Bach's Christmas Oratorio. It's difficult for me to associate the music of Scriabin with spiritual ecstasy. For me, his music is very passionate and sensual in the conventional sense of the term. However, it's a kind of elevated, aestheticized sensuality. It's quite intoxicating stuff, really.
speechless. 🌷🌷🌷👍 I have put this film on Face-Book for everyone to enjoy. July 2024.
I love how Ashkenazy explains the different states of mind inherent in Scriabin's music. The longing, flying, chaos & ecstasy...
interesting if anything!
really like the young Valdimir Ash :-)
