Great review Mike! I bought this controller/hub for a new build before I saw this review. Great to see it doing its thing. If there's one thing I detest, it's all the proprietary connectors that all the big brands are using. Brand X fan isn't compatibe with brand Y controller without some sort of adapter cable. Same with led strips. I would love to see an unboxing of the Coolmoon DM1 fans. Perhaps look into them for the build you are going to be showing. Cheers!
Thanks for referring me to this product, Mike! Just to clarify, when using it as a standalone controller, since I don't have a 5V header on my motherboard, the only thing I really need to plug for it to work is the power cable to the PSU, right? Similar PWM setup/cable up to the GameMax(Velocity Argb cheapo) but mine doesn't read RPM in HWiNFO(doesn't even recognise them tbf) or Dragon, however it does control from PWM. Good idea that at the end, get a separate PWM hub for fans, I was just about to order one, then I realised I don't have PWM fans there all 3 pin😒😫 Is there a PWM hub that has a temp sensor, then I could pull the trigger on a new set of fans??🤔

My motherboard only has a 4 pin rgb and not the 3 pin argb. So my plan is to use the CoolMoon hub to control the leds Only. Would it be okay to keep the fans power plugged into the motherboard and then the fans argbs plugged into the hub? Id prefer to let my pc itself to control the fan speeds rather than the hub, but i would need the hub for the fancy lighting. Not sure if itd have any conflicts or not. Any idea if this would be okay?
