I sat in the cockpit of an A26 invader it was at an airshow in FortWayne Indiana, it is an ausom aircraft, if I am not mistaken, it was the A10 of the day.
Willie Bill...A10 of the day!....Yes...People love hollywood "Sugarland Express" is a Speilberg Movie....1991 is the year my Daughter was born..Iraq war was on...Interest in War machines came back as people went to study the tanks and anti aircraft etc..Then Facebook...The Internet took off and search engines....etc got us this far! Since the mid nineties I studied and hit the air shows and touched machines like the b-25 mitchell..the Mynarski Lancaster...saw an F-18 Canada fighter...and the Snowbirds!! saw an old Korea fighter....Love Planes!! Women Pilot the A-10 and I loved Amelia Earhart! Ms Orr from Parry sound who ferried aircraft...and others...Russia women fought the germans at night...they flew bi planes..The Germans called them NightWitches...They could out turn the BF-109s they bombed the german positions..If shot they burned up usually..very brave women....I remember at the air show the B-25 Mitchell too...Flew this in Sim games...Powerful aircraft....We built Viking ships as humans and then we built ships of the Air to Invade Go figure

One of the fastest bombers of WW2, not the fastest by a long way but one of them, very impressive aircraft.
Lars Ness is a great pilot
Jack L, where is this aircraft, Sweden ?
Jack L, A 26 was the fastest of 2 engine American bombers
On his checklist rundown I could have swore I heard him say “goosebumps...check” ! 😂
Most likely meant „boost pumps“ 😁 but yeah, who would not have goosebumps flying such a beaut?!
