This is a unique one, Scott's solo was also killer!!
He has really found his sound. Very creepy minor melodic heavy, great mix of speed and melody, absolutely unique.
scott’s solo fucking solos the whole song
Did I miss something? I don't see this on their spotify
@@OfficiallyMaidenlessthis is Tim’s feature on the latest single from Unprocessed
Sorry but no. All of Tim's songs inevitably end up sounding the same because his brand image is based on that wicked fast and highly impressive playing....but they all end up sounding the same at some point in the song or another....still impressive...just not that crazy unique
WOW, i feel the complexity of this solo was lost in the mix of the full song with the drums and bass playing over it. But here its so much clearer and easier to appreciate.
Feel the exact same, and honestly I felt this about some songs in RTYWD as well
@@arnuvmnyeah, the mixing on RTYWD got kinda shit at times
I hear a lot of people say the mixing is top notch on RTYWD and Unprocesssed, but imho I feel like a lot of songs are overproduced and a lot of details get lost in it... It always makes me happy when Scott/Tim/Manuel release a video of their parts isolated
I don't think that there was anything wrong with the mix otherwise but I gotta admit this solo I couldn't appreciate once I heard it but now it seems so much better.
Agreed, the latter parts are hard to make out in the full song mix.
I think I'm pregnant.

not to be that guy but wait until you discover tech death guitarists
@@garaheet2931I'll be that guy. Wait until he discovers Archspire or Necrophagist
@@chairmanofthebored6860 lmao yesss exactly. Tim Henson and Polyphia are great and musically talented, but it's always weird to me how people hype over them so hard. They fail to see these metal bands that consistently make super technical pieces that involve a lot of time changes, polyrhythms, and just straight up pure technicality. I've been practicing most of Revocation's discography for the past year and that stuff is no joke. There are so many tech death bands that have amazing songwriting prowess.
@@garaheet2931there are some songs by Judas Priest with some sick solos, in the end the conclusion I came to is that lay people praise them, but those who have experience know that what differentiates the team from the others is your ability to compose (I used a translator if there's something that doesn't make sense, that's the reason)
Absolutely beautiful. And the music's good too
That lick from 0:17 to 0:19 is so sick man, I love it.
Dig the heavier dive into the song. Your style is very unique and the amount of range you can pull out of it is impressive 👍
I hoping their next album has some heavy stuff considering their sudden peak in the use of 8strings and pitch shifters
They did have bloodbath. Either way, I love his melodic composition, so whatever genre he can put that in is what I'll listen to.
Chimera, and fuck around & find out to
Bruh, let’s just be happy they are making music. Fuck the genre, fuck the loyalty, and just enjoy music. This shit that they are producing is mind blowing and I wouldn’t give two shits if they did a whole pop album because I know it would be electric as fuck. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

@@restoras11 ??????
RIFF? More like a barrage of pointless notes, pitch shifting and patch changes. I thought riffs were meant to be catchy? This "riff" ain't no Seven Nation Army or Iron Man. Meh. Pointlessly complicated and tuneless.
@@robertdouble559 You're the reason people have this connotation of older generation musicians not approving of polyphia and modern bands. I'm also really confused on how you can say this isnt catchy or tuneless? the first twenty seconds are entirely melody until the beat drop, where you can absolutely still hear the melody under the "barrage of pointless notes". As for your comment "pointlessly complicated and tuneless", i can only assume that this is complete ignorance. Many famous and celebrated guitar riffs and solos from back in the 80s or nineties were just as fast, just as complicated, and some were arguably just as "tuneless". This "riff" as you put it, is a solo from another song that this artist (tim henson) guest stars in. its SUPPOSED to be complicated and a "barrage of 'pointless' notes". No one says the words "pointlessly complicated" in music unless they are woefully ignorant of musical expression and flexing. please try to contribute something more positive to the world next time, because i really don't see how your comment improves this community. If you dislike it, thats fine, but use some common etiquette and either keep it to yourself or be more polite in your comment. maybe try for a "i don't like this song, but it is impressive playing"
Another example of incredible virtuosity,, nice job Tim.

I have yet to watch a Tim Henson video without yelling "HOLY CR*P" 5 seconds into it, and by the end getting the clear message reconfirmed that despite my playing guitar for over 10 years, he is a guitar player, and I merely own a guitar.
Probably not being fair to yourself. Tim is a once in a hundred years or more extraordinary Phenomena. He also had extreme classical training and locked himself away for a long time and did nothing but play guitar. We can never measure up and/or compete with the likes of Tim or a Beethoven or a Mozart. I would say just enjoy what he brings and if your a guitar player try taking some small portions of his least difficult stuff and break it down and play it slow until you know it and gradually up the speed. That's pretty much what I have been trying to do anyway. The kind of stuff he is doing here will always be beyond my reach. Peace brother. 👍🤘
@@Rabid-Polyphia-Fanhard agreed man. Comparison is the killer of progress for us guitarists. Much better to take inspiration from what Tim does and make the most of whatever we can take from his playing to make our own.
