WARNING! THERE WILL BE SOME MISTAKES IN THIS LOGO HISTORY SO NO COMPLAINING! NO COMMENTING "WRONG!".
Here we go again! Another logo history. After 2 weeks it is finally done. I took some breaks most days. But here it is now! The next logo history will be a home video company. MGM Television was established on June 30, 1956 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer under Loews, Inc. It was initiated to have MGM to distribute 770 of its films, 900 shorts, produce network series, and acquire TV stations after its first program, the short-lived series The M-G-M Parade was canceled by ABC in the spring. The M-G-M Parade first used the 1953 version of Jackie at the beginning rather than the end of the program. The company did not use an end logo until 1957. Most of the pre-1986 library is owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment through Turner Entertainment Co., while MGM Holdings Inc. owns the rest of the library. The first show from MGM Television was MGM Parade (1955-1956) and their latest show is Four Weddings and a Funeral (2019). - Развлечения

I never liked the circle logo when i was a kid because my brother kept telling me that the lion was gonna jump out and eat me up!
Thankfully it never did
your brother is a savage 💀
The lion only appears on the TV screen for televisions.
And the lion also appears on theatres with the regular logo.
That does in irl

Yeah 2019
Yes, he has been their logo since 1957

1:54 - What show did this come from?
I remember the 1973 logo from the Chuck Jones tom and jerry cartoons
Abdulla Sulaimani - you mean at the start of the cartoon when Leo was replaced by Tom (hits the top of the circle) and Jerry appears falling into a "y" at the end of his name?
I do remember those as their last cartoons made before Ted Turner bought MGM and took control of the IP.
@@syxepop MGM cartoon shorts bought by TimeWarner and Turner
@@arturootoya8914 - DID YOU READ MY COMMENT IN FULL? I know it's over 1am EST, but...
Those cartoons I refer to with Tom replacing Leo at the start were in the 1970's just before Turner got MGM when Chuck Jones was the producer of that series of cartoon shorts.
Chronologically, Turner bought the whole MGM studio, reselling later United Artists and a few other MGM assets, including the studio trademarks (kept all the cartoons).
Years later, TimeWarner bought all of Turner's assets (most importantly getting back the WB cartoons UA bought in the 1960's), incl. the Atlanta Braves, whom they resold later.
Now all of those assets left are within the WarnerMedia division of telco AT&T.

Many thanks for the request!
You're welcome!
4:25 How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the most version I know.
-The 1960-1973 logos are scary as
Hell.
MGM collaborated with Hanna Barbera for The Tom & Jerry Show in 1975(ABC-TV) and also in 1980 for The Tom & Jerry Comedy Show(CBS-TV) and again in 1981 for The Tom & Jerry Hour(CBS-TV)
Leo's roar is a very funny one at 2:07 because it sounds like a broken trumpet.
7:14 no sound

Very good MGM Television Logo History video!
These were the scariest closing logos ever. I heard the voice of Leo the lion was provided by a comedian- Dave Barry.
The 60s logo could be a side plate of a wwe title
4:04
Scary!!!!!!!
Yeah, it is nightmare inducing, isn’t it?
my honest reaction is that it's not that scary even the original mgm logo not even telly and coffee.

On some shows from 1960-1973, "Leo" is just "waiting" before roaring.
7:20 They should've used that on shows after 1982, but they waited too long until 1993. However, episodes of Kids Incorporated did use the new roar in the final few seasons.

Sometimes I just wish that people would keep those comments to themselves -_-
@@JontyMaster Sometimes I just wish that people wouldn't load videos with a half-dozen repetitive intros when one is perfectly enough.
I don't actually do that anymore. But even if I did, I would rather that people let me introduce myself any way I want. Nowadays, I just add only one intro. Still, you're being quite snippy.
