I love watching your videos for inspiration. Even though neutrals are merely something I tolerate (rather than enjoy) because they enable me to use the colorful wardrobe pieces I love, I can always find inspiration from your mostly neutral outfits. Today that last outfit really jumped out at me. Before you added the coat, my brain was screaming, “Put on a bright colored layering piece!” Of course, you didn’t, but I realized how I could use that outfit and make it my own. Thanks for what you do.
Haha love it… the sad thing is that I decluttered a gorgeous, Kelly green wool coat during one of my many, now-regrettable purges. Sigh. Live and learn! xx
I consider fashion to be a personal statement. I think that Kate does a great job with basics. Kate's suggestion of shopping your closet is a great way to create new styles but save some money at the same time. Thanks for the video Kate.
I swear that every time I see you you look more gorgeous. Sigh...the sweater. I have not worn one in two and a half years😪, and I love how they look and grieve to wear them. Life on the island lol

@@KateBenz LOL, it's not at all cold. In the evenings into nightfall, we usually drop to the 70s. Tonight (December 7th), we are supposed to be at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I do believe it is thanks to the cold air coming in from the direction of the USA. So from now until around March, we have colder nights. Omg, I love it, love it, love it. I so envy you winter and those gorgeous sweaters.

I love the tuck in style however I’m very uncomfortable doing it. I’m 60 and have a tummy that sticks out and looks terrible with a tucked in shirt. What, if anything, do you suggest I wear? I like to hide my tummy with shirts and sweaters that skim my body. I wear a 34DDD. If the top is flowy it looks like a tent. I wear a 34DDD. I’m 5’0”. Help!
Have you tried a side tuck (over one hip) with a sweater over pants or skirts? That way it drapes diagonally across your tummy and draws the eye to the diagonal edge and not the roundness. It's especially effective if your pants/skirt don't cling to the lower part of your stomach but skim over it. Also, V-neck sweaters are your friend as they draw the eye up towards your face.
Since you are lucky enough to have a large bust, try belting long, flowy or oversized shirts and tunics. I know it's been drilled into us not to belt a tummy but with a large bust it will make your waist look smaller in comparison and corral the fabric so it drapes gently over your belly without looking like a tent!
I too have the dreaded menopause belly and side tuck most of my tops. Belting doesn't work as well for me because of my small bust but I do have a few shirts with which it looks great.
Hi friend! I’m sure you look beautiful no matter how or what you are wearing. One thought, though: Have you ever thought about wearing shapewear? If you love a tuck but feel uncomfortable doing it, you may find that shapewear gives you the confidence to go for it! xx
