Mel Gibson is a very underrated director. Never made a bad movie as a director. Braveheart, Apocalypto, Hacksaw Ridge, and The Passion of the Christ. I think he may have been the first ever Hollywood Celebrity to be canceled.

Passion of the Christ is amazing. it turned me around. you can't watch this movie and not question your own heart and life... Gibson did an incredible job and i can NOT wait to see what he does with this sequel and how it will impact the world.

If anybody could possibly make a film portrayal, this is the guy to do it.
You certainly wouldn't want anyone else in Hollywood to do it. Not only does Mel have the spirit, which is rare in Hollywood, he has enough wealth to do his films with complete independence of outside influence.
This guy is a genius. Screw hollywood, this guy is beyond that and can succeed anywere. He is the Kubrick of our time. Great story teller.

I want to tell you that i was fortunate to have met mr gibson in 2016 as he was dubbing the blood father..
I was lecturer in philosophy in air studios in London..
As my students left , mel popped his head in the room we spoke briefly but he had to scoot due to press commitments.. but he invited me to join him in his hotel suite at the marriott .
No security or ego at all. We spoke until 5.30 am about our mutual struggle with bipolar disorder and faith etc.
We seemed to be kindred spirits.
He organised me a taxi to take me home .. an absolute gentleman
I loved the 1st and I can't wait to see the 2nd

What a great artist and film director, is no one like Mel Gipson.
No doubt supernatural events are very hard to convey properly on screen while still being accurate to the events that took place. He’s walking a very fine line but the Holy Spirit is Faithful and True (as He was with the Passion of the Christ) and it is indeed a labor of love on Mel’s part. Can’t wait to see what God does!!!💜👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
As an evangelical christian, there is no belief that Jesus ever went down to hell or LITERALLY opened its gates, so if the satan cameos pissed people off even when they were symbolci, imagine what it will do to the entire christian community to see these more catholic esoteric ideas and characters play out on screen, especially after such a spot on depiction of the literal crucifixion

The deity in the sky decided to send his son to die for you and this absolved you of responsibility for bad things you do, is basically psychological torture. It’s like , don’t you know he loves you! When does Michael make an appearance in Sheol? from my understanding only Jesus was there along with the Saints and Hell's servants when Jesus was there for 3 days. there's a quote in pslam along the lines of "Open up ye doors, ye gates, oh open them up so the King of Glory can come in." I've yet to find scripture that talks about Michael vs Satan except in Revelation. But I have not heard of Michael fighting Satan in Sheol???
