Nice video to the point and clear audio. Maybe I missed it but screw length really needs to be thought about when mounting cabinets. Especially when you know there is electrical wires where you are mounting the cabinets. Also, any specific reason you choose to have the cabinet above the microwave higher than the others?
We are tall haha. I would say that we always mount our microwaves high and people online always call it out. I also remember making a huge pot of tamales at a friends house once and the microwave was so low that I couldn't fit the tongs in and out of the big steamer pot because the microwave was so low. So kind of just a personal preference.
I noticed your Rock Springs sweatshirt. You must be close to us. We are building a new house in Lyman. Several of your videos are going to help a lot!! Thank you. Also, we have plenty of projects you could make a video with if you’re interested. LMK
That's awesome! I'm so glad I'm starting to find some Wyoming people on here! I am in Rock Springs :) This house I am working on right now is a full gut/reno for my Mom. How is your house coming along?
@@YouCanDIYHome it’s a new build. We are doing most all the inside DIY. Right now we are in the priming and painting stage. Still need to do tile the bathroom( which I could really use some advice on the sand shower floor base), hang cabinets and interior doors, put in cabinet island, install faux rock wainscoting, interior trim, LVP floors, carpet squares, interior plumbing fixtures, window treatments, and probably a lot I have forgotten LoL. So seriously, your videos are going to be a big help as many of these you have done.
these sorts of tips for doing things when you don't have anyone to help you are super helpful
Yes! Sometimes something is too big or heavy and you do need a second set of hands. But many projects, there is a way to safely do it yourself!
You absorock, thanks for inspiring me!
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching
Good information Emily. Another awesome video.

Thank you so much!

Great... thank you for the tips. 😊
@@Moyetisimo thanks for watching!!
When do you take out the 2x4 and how does that look after?
Once the cabinet is secured, remove the 2X4. You just have the little screw holes to fill, prime, and paint were it was screwed in.

Do you paint the wall first?
@@kimcurts3239 it would probably be easier to not have to cut in the edges but you could do it either way
@@YouCanDIYHome Thank you!!
