All I see at the car meets I go to are hondas and euro cars sadly. I'm 19 and have a 85 Thunderbird which I'm building and i always get some looks. I think people like it when you dont pull up in a straight piped honda civic with mexican music blasting sometimes 😂😂

It’s great to see the younger generation still interested in these iconic cars. My daughter is about to turn 16 and she really wants to learn how to drive a manual so she can drive my fox.

at 15 I drove a 89 Foxbody to school everyday (low miles perfect car with massive stereo system). My dad told me if you get caught I will say you stole it lol haha. Never got caught and because of me everyone and there mom bought a foxbody at my school lol haha

Great video Matt !!! My goal before I die is to own a foxbody mustang again. I have owned 2 in the early to mid 90's.I should've had my ass kicked for getting rid of my 88 GT 5.0 because it had T-Tops. But I hope to accomplish my goal and preferably I plan on getting a 93 Cobra SVT in teal blue. Anyways your channel helps me to stay motivated. Thanks Matt !!!

Back story...I took my oldest daughter out for her first time behind the wheel of any land based vehicle in my '93 LX 5.0 coupe 5-speed a year ago. Off an on we practiced driving a manual. Most of her driving was behind the wheel of her mama's automatic. She got her drivers license this past October using her mama's car. The car we bought her is an old 4-door sedan with a manual. Now she wants to take the Mustang out...on her own! Ugh...I've got mixed feelings about that. LOL Anyway. Good to see other teens, especially daughters, getting into the Foxbody crowd. Great report Matt.

Shoot I'm 19 and drive a 85 thunderbird that I'm turning into a sleeper, and I have NEVER seen another tbird or mustang of the 80s until recently. So being young and having one of these cars is definitely a rarity lol

First, let me say that the fox body mustang is truly a unique mustang. Now with that being said, I still stick to my guns that they are not going to withstand the test of time. The only ones that are going to make it are going to be the cobras and the special editions. Mustangs in general are plentiful and the nostalgia. I don't think it's going to be there in the future. Honestly when I drive mine around nobody knows what it is. I love that there's a small knit community that gives and shares and teaches each other how to work on these, but at the same time I don't see a reason to upgrade them. Considering that a modern-day Honda Civic could blow the doors off of it. I think you just need to drive the car as it is and enjoy it for the memories that it made or the memories that you have of it. Then again to each his own. Do whatever you want.
It will be interesting to see where they go in the next few years

Wow that's a gorgeous 🦊 it is super clean & has very tasteful mods to bring it a little more up to date with the maf conversion... I was pretty impressed with the numbers it put down on the dyno for mostly stock it is good oh & it sounds really good too! It's really cool to see the generation behind us or our kids age I should say getting into fox bodies and older cars like that my daughter loves my fox and she's been wanting one for a while now (she also wants a '69 Chevelle that's her ultimate dream car) eventually I will get her a fox cuz I can't give mine up just yet... The Chevelle is a dream of both of ours we're going to build together!
Yeah I was impressed with the numbers too for mostly stock (ported heads I believe and an intake), but sounds like your daughter has great taste in cars as well. That would be so so to get both of those together. Best of luck to you on that!
Great video, good to see other young people interested in foxes. When my youngest son was 16 he learned to drive stick in a 52k mi ‘86 SVO. He really likes the car and I’ll let him drive it but I can’t give it to him either.

I wanted a Fox GT when I turned 16. Thank God I didnt get one. It would've been ruined and or myself as well. I was careless at that time. Just wanted to drive and romp on whatever I was in. Awesome to see a young person with this kind of attitude.

@@GearHead704 Oh yeah. Gotta 90 GT 5spd. Had it for almost 10yrs now. Been parked for a couple years, but neglected since my daughter was born. Having power issues from the solenoid area and my A9L decided to crap out on me. Always something with these old tanks.

I got the same bad boy paint scheme but it’s a convertible five speed and it’s at 89 with 86,000 miles sitting underneath my carport. I’m about to get rid of it.
Sounds awesome. They are selling pretty good now so I'm sure you'll land a good price for it.
You can fix an interior quarters by melting plastic to the back side with the plastic welding kit from harbor freight if y'all have them where y'all at Louisiana has harbor freights. Touch up the holes with the welding kit and repaint. Cheap option if you can't find new panels
