I really don't care what other people would think, but i cried for a good 10 minutes straight after watching this episode (specifically the ending scene). It felt really real and relatable, while also sticking with the characters personalities. I can barely stand to watch yui cry at all, but when you add to that the fact that the seniors finally realized that that concert was it, it destroyed me. I literally thought it was gonna be some setup for a joke or something, but then you see the tears on ritsu's eyes and know shit is going down. I also cried again rewatching this btw
I believe I am physically incapable of not crying during episode 20. When they realise there's nothing else and they breakdown crying I just can't, it gets me every single time. Even thinking about it or having it described to me usually gets me going, watching it happen gets the water works going without fail.
for me U&I was on the top 2 song for this anime, and number 1 you will see in few last episode .. damn this series making a lot of great song, OP and ED ..
BTW, i also noticed the scene of the girls running down the stairs and I find it interesting that they focused a lot on Azusa's worrying about the concert. Its an awesome shift in perspective to now show this eye catching scene of anticipation through Azusa's own eyes.
What I thought was a sneaky touch in the episode in a blink and you'll miss it moment, at 56:38 that is Yui and Uis parents behind Ui. She was looking straight at them. Can see it was most likely them in character design art work about their parents. But damn this episode made me tear up with the clubroom scene at the end. I think it resonates with most people, since we experienced the same things at the end of school or work or whatever long group project you may have done.
@@Mr_Hoppykwins Because she is proud and young kids do that, it's not uncommon. A younger sibling, or older as well I guess, turning to a parent (or friend or relative) and saying that has been used in heaps of shows and books, and a good number of anime.
I've never managed to get through episode 20 without tearing up. Especially once it gets to the post-concert scene where the girls all start crying together. The whole episode was so good. And U&I was such an amazing final song for this episode. You're right that it felt like a finale, and yet there was still more story to tell. And yet this episode didn't cheapen the actual final episode or the movie, either. This felt like a farewell to the series as a whole, but in the end, I think the final farewell to Azusa was even better than this.
I think for us it was the same as for the 4, thinking there is still a lot to come, but then realize this was it (mostly). And I think this was intended. Normally we as the viewer know when it will finished but so we could experience the same feeling.
People present at the concert: everyone Really, everyone was there, from Sokabe sempai and the fan club, to Mugi's friend from middle school (they were a different uniform under the HTT t-shirt), all the class mates, the occult club, Yui's parents, and so on :). I don't remember if Sawa-chan's friend was there too but I wouldn't be surprised if she was. ep 24 is the real finale, but ep 20, 26 and the movie feel like finales themselves, somehow.
It doesn't feel like the ending once you've seen the rest :) Dont you think the proper ending is the end of their high school life? It would seem weird to end it here, months before they graduate without even knowing what their plans are for college etc This was the bands last official school concert but we haven't finished following them through high school! 24 is the real end- then you get some bonus extra eps :) Also, did you recognize the song about rice as a side dish? Yui was writing it back in the episode where they all tried to come up with lyrics. The lyrics are quite clever not just funny :)
I strongly recommend that you watch the OVAs first before EP 24. Those are chronologically before EP 24. First watch EP 27 then 25 and 26 since that would make most sense.
I think watching 25 and 26 before 24 makes sense chronologically, but on the other hand I feel like watching episode 26 first would kind of ruin the ending of episode 24, at least emotionally.
20 is so amazing... and it's not even my favorite episode... 24 is coming, guys! I can't wait to see it again... I'm getting the chills thinking about it XD

I first watched the show during 9th grade. Rewatched it during my senior year in high school, and it hit me hard like a boulder.
Episode 24 is The Finale. But ep. 20 hits you like it's the 'end' for sure :') Don't wanna say much else tho O: Watch it 'till the end and find out :D
There's ep 26 and 27... I think... Ova maybe
balled my eyes out when Yui talked about the next festival.
U&I always makes me emotional thinking about Ui and Yui.
My kokoro can't handle all these feels.

Why would she turn to her parents to tell them that was her sister?

I've watched K-On for a solid 9 times already and i still tear up from it. First time watching it i was just flat out bawling my eyes out.

2 more weeks since it's two episodes per week ^^ still too long
@@Nifuruc I unfortunately can't watch it in two weeks cause I'll be busy starting then. :(

Let me slide in BanG Dream as another anime like K-on

Asuza being left alone hasn’t been explored yet :P
The feels are too strong, I'm not ready for this to end... again.
