    I've been twice for over three months total. What you said is true for the most part. I'm sure others appreciate your images and would enjoy even more in the first half of your video.

    Hello, This is a very old video and we hope you can still see this comment. I just wanted to thank you because this video is REALLY HELPFUL!!! ( We have seen tons of videos and we've had enough of these guys saying I'm tired, I'm hungry, and only speaking of themselves. ) We wrote down all your recommendations. You also confirmed most of the tips we collected in these past weeks. Thank you again for your help ! Greetings from Costa Rica. We will be traveling on July 2019 to South East Asia.

    Great video! So true! Good advice on crossing the street. Don't wait for a break in traffic. Wade into the stream, but do not stop walking!

    Well said and explained. Honking in Vietnam means here I am, please pay attention. When crossing the streets, just walk slowly and do not do anything sudden. Vehicles will go around you. Avoid walking in front of big cars or trucks.
    People there are very cooperative and have a different set of rules that seems to be more natural then we do here.

    The water description for crossing the street is best way to describe it. Do not make fast movements tho or you will get hit. You want to give riders time to avoid you. If you do it right you can keep walking and not stop the whole way across, it'll just be a slow walk.

    • @hoangpham
      @hoangpham  8 лет назад +2

      Thanks I appreciate it! I would visit in spring or fall if possible as summer is extremely hot there. However both time's ive visited it was in the middle of the summer. Monsoon season generally happens throughout the summer as well so that's something to keep in mind. I've heard April-May are good months to go if possible.

    I think haggling is expected because they give you a starting price that they expect to be haggled. Feel free to pay full price but know that you're paying more than they expect to get for them. There's no hard feeling since it's expected. Be prepared to walk away.

    I want to buy a custom suit do I negotiate with a tailor? And do I go to the market to buy the material?
    also I understand Vietnam set very good place to buy inexpensive glasses so I'm planning on bringing my prescription. Again is this something I negotiate at the store? Thanks

    Will the sim cards allow calls back to the states? If so how much are they, approx? Thanks

    • @hoangpham
      @hoangpham  8 лет назад +1

      There are some sim packages that allow calling back to the states. The price may vary depending on how long you purchase it for and how much data you want with it and what package you pick. They usually aren't too expensive and are quite worth it. However I don't know it well enough to give you a clear cut amount.

    • @ChristyTylerTogether
      @ChristyTylerTogether 8 лет назад +3

      most of the sims are for local calls only. wifi calling is your friend. just make sure your sim is actually giving you what you paid for...it's happened to me before being sold a blank sim! as for the cost it varies wildly, but $8-$12 should cover for you for about a month
