    Hi there. I have an A1 Sport on order, and I have no tech packages. What does the "View" button on the steering wheel do? I haven't been able to find out what it does, except for change the view if you have the £3,000 tech package.

    I have this car but a 30 TFSI,is there anything to help with the parking sensors? I hear a noise but I thought there may be an option to see something on the screen when parking?

    • @Lifebikescars
      @Lifebikescars  2 года назад +3

      Hi, no it's just an acoustic alert if you have just the rear sensors. The graphic display comes part of Parking System Plus, which gives you front and rear sensors and a rear view camera along with the graphic display. . Parking System Plus is part of the Comfort and Sound pack.
      Hope that helps

  • @josephineagar3210
    @josephineagar3210 Год назад +1

    What is the sound system like? Can see on the website you can upgrade to Sonos but wasn't sure if this would be worth doing?

    • @Lifebikescars
      @Lifebikescars  Год назад +1

      The standard sound system is actually quite good, bass response is decent and overall clarity is nice. The Sonos system gives you additional speakers for a better sound stage and a subwoofer for that extra depth. Certainly a nice to have. Having said that, if there was a vehicle available that matched all your spec but just missed out the Sonos, I wouldn't class it as a deal breaker (for the record, I am quite into my audio and have had a sulk in the past when I've been given a vehicle with a sub standard sound system 😂 I'm a big fan of the Sonos system but I could happily live with the standard A1 sound system.)

    recently just bought an A1 40 TFSI Competition edition, don’t know if it’s a silly question but can features such as Parking Plus package (to include reversing camera) and the centre arm rest be retrofitted to the vehicle?

    • @Lifebikescars
      @Lifebikescars  2 года назад +1

      Hi, nice choice of car, don't see too many Competition editions! I'm not sure if the centre arm has become avaialbe as a retrofit part yet. Rear view camera is availabe but adding front parking sensors can become quite expensive. Best thing is to contact your local Audi dealership parts department who will be able to advise if the parts are available and the current lead time.

    • @arianafcks
      @arianafcks 2 года назад +1

      @@Lifebikescars Thanks! I’m not entirely clued up on what ‘competition edition’ refers to but it’s a brilliant car. I’ll get in contact with my garage and ask about the centre arm rest, also with regard to the rear camera, this is a part which can be supplied and fitted by an Audi garage? I want to ensure things are done correctly and with genuine parts. Many Thanks.

      @@arianafcks yes it should be an Audi fit accessory. The benefit of that is it will come with 1 year warranty for the part. Hi, the honest answer is I don’t actually know. I’d assume so but some newer cars don’t actually use a filter. Might be a question for your local Audi dealership but looking on sites like GSF, there isn’t a fuel filter listed

      @@Lifebikescars Many thanks. I am having problems working out how to do stuff. I don't know which of the facilities in the manual apply to my car. And indeed some of the youtubes of apparently identical cars are different to mine, for example some say there is a wireless phone charge capability, but I don't have that. Especially confused about the voice control, and the difference facilities when my phone is wireless or hard wired attached .... Some buttons seem to promise much but the facilities underneath are scarce

    • @Lifebikescars
      @Lifebikescars  Год назад

      What age is your car? Wireless charging came as part of the Technology pack, however it was removed around 12 months ago due to the microchip shortages. Voice control has two stages. If you click and quickly release, that engages the vehicles voice control, where you can do things say 'play Radio 1' ' call home' 'navigate home' (if you have the yech pack with built in sat nav). If you press and hold the voice control button, that will engage your phone's voice control (if you phone is connected through bluetooth or usb) you can then use 'OK google' or 'Hey Siri' to access most of your phone features

    • @mhm2908
      @mhm2908 Год назад +1

      @@Lifebikescars Car reg is 21. I don't think I have the Technology pack. Many thanks for the voice control info - it works as you say! I have rear beepers but don't seem to have a rear camera. Also the change display options seem very limited/ non existent on the main screen. I do appreciate your time

    • @Lifebikescars
      @Lifebikescars  Год назад

      Rear parking sensors are standard. The rear camera came as part of the comfort and sound pack, which give you front and rear sensors, rear view camera and B&O or SONOS (depending on the build year of the car) sound system. You can get a camera retro fitted for about £500 from Audi (maybe cheaper elsewhere)
      The view button on the steering won't really much with the Technology pack. It will just remove the centre display.

      Unfortunately the 25 TFSI doesn't have this function.
      Normally there is a button on the dash just under the air conditioning control that says 'drive select' which allows you to run through the modes. The different modes effect the way the throttle responds and the feel of the steering.
