Happy Father's Day! I found out the BMW had a salvage title, was for sale by the insurance company and already sold for a little over $4,000 right after I shot this video! So disappointed!!!
If it was the immobilizer it would've shown on the dash... it didn't. It didn't even click when he turned the key, starter isn't getting any power... probably just a fuse.
Some starters near end-of-life will fail when they get heat soaked after the engine has been running. Once the car cools down sufficiently, they work again.
Liked the in person #Copart visit Sam, I would watch a lot of these in the future. I also click on Ads I like on your videos. Keep up the good work and I'd love to see more cows in your videos as well as videos where your family and friends help you out. A la pizza oven door video. Thanks Sam and ps, I'm watching you because of a nod to your channel by Mike at #StreetSpeed717
@@paulcunningham5327 i used to have a car with an apparently dead starter motor, all i had to do is slam on it a couple of times with a hammer and it would start perfectly - obviously, that wouldn't do the trick forever, eventually i switched it out with a new one
Yes please more Copart digs would be awesome. Wishing you luck on the jag sale hope you make some green with it. For me I’d like to do the busa but I enjoy working on bikes
I only buy from IAA.. rarely do I purchase from copart but from my experience with this model jaguar I say that you will be lucky to receive $1500 for the jag.... hopefully your viewers will start a bid war on the jag and you get up there in price... good luck sam!
I never seen a starter die like that but I have seen batteries die like that. Just because you have power doesn't mean it has enough power to crank the engine. I bet it is something simple. Rich may be able to use that Tesla for parts to fix the flood damaged one he is working on
Yes...YES bid on the BMW!!! That would me amazing to fix and review! I knew I liked you, but now that I know you like a good manual, I think I luv you a bit!!! 😀😀😀
Especially when there was a comment on the last video worried about forks damaging the car and the reply was that there would be no need as it could drive by itself lol.
I have a Copart lot near me and it is absolutely huge. Unbelievable how many vehicles are there and the various conditions you can see. Everything from cars like Samcrac Jag to completely burned and crumpled vehicles.
Neutral Safety switch is another intermittent start problem. If not starting in park, try neutral....This is common as is the heat soak mentioned by others.
Great video! You are not far from me at all. If you need a hand on some projects let me know. If it started when the car cooled down then it is the crank position sensor. It's a cheap part to replace.
I think there is a starter fuse in the trunk that gets bumped by the spare sometimes. It's prob that or a relay / ignition or wiring prob since you cant hear the starter solenoid engage at all. Fuse in the trunk is called a "mega fuse" or something if I remember correctly.
Cool BMW, I found a 1993 e32 730i v8, 5 speed manual, 25% lsd, cloth interior no sunroof, rear parking sensors, euro spec car and a bunch of other cool extras.
The Savannah yard is where I used to buy my cars until I became a licensed dealer her in FL. If anyone reading this wants to buy cars from Coprt or IAAI in Florida, drop me a line and I will be your broker.
Cheyenne Obregon we are just brokers. We help people buy cars at Florida Insurance auctions such as IAAI and Copart. We do not physically sell cars. If you find something at copart you want to buy and it's in Florida, you will need a broker like myself.
Talk about the kid in the candy store? You were just downright giddy. I'm kinda thinking the Beemer at the top of your wish list, then the green Mustang, even though it's a V-6. Absolutely we want more Copart site videos.
Depends the yard i guess but let's be honest, You're there to inspect a car not make videos so i mean if you're in the way at all or just recording cars you're not even thinking of buying it'd be kind of annoying.
I had a car that did the same thing as the jag. The electrical contacts in the starter were worn and when heated by the engine the gap would be too large to bridge. After it cooled down the metal would be able to bridge the electrical connection again and you could start up and drive again. Took 45m to and hr to 'reset', learned not to make any stops that weren't absolutely required till I got it replaced.
I'm a subscriber from Canada and only know about Copart, been to their website, and that they have locations here because of your videos. You are such good advertisement for them it's not funny. They would be crazy not to work with you on future videos. ...or they could give me the black Civic Si in Toronto that perfectly matches my baseline coupe and I'll make my own sponsored channel. :)
I had a 2003 jaguar XJ6 3.0 V6. Awesome car. I only had one problem with it. the starter motor died, it behaved just like yours, though it did start just one more time the day after.
You said rare??? that is probably 1of1 or 1of2 at most this is a 2004 v8 with manual trans AND a convertible the production of the 645 in 2004 is around 21k (12k were coupes and 8700 convertibles) for the world according to the registry and what seals the deal the 6 speed was not offered on the ECE and Japanese markets it was only for north america...
Has the audi from some months ago on your channel sold? Also if the bmw is a v8, run. Most likely timing chain issues or some other serious problem. I have first hand experience with a v8 545i 6 speed from the auction. It was an expensive lesson :(
My dad has an E34 525i and The Chain ripped but weil fixed it and recently it Fame Back From Restauration its so awesome it Has This New Car Feeling to it
the N62b44 engine on that 645i tends to usually need a valve stem seal replacement around 70-100,000 miles. If they're near worn and need to be replaced you'll start to get a ton of smoke out the exhaust and carbon build up in the EGR tubes along with clogging of the secondary air ports in the exhaust along with the valves. you'll have to drop the entire subframe with the transmission and can easily become a 2-3 day+ job or run around 1500-2000 for a mechanic, I wouldn't bid.
Seeing that wrecked Z06 makes me happy because it lets me know that somebody was really enjoying the car to the max. What makes me sad is all of the fast cars that never got driven to their limits.
Yes I am interested in more Copart videos, thanks for letting us know you can go to yards and look at cars. I plan on going to Copart in Graham WA. this week both my kids need cars and hope to bid next auction. Your RUclips channel is awesome have watched at least 20 shows in last 2 weeks.
I’ve been to that magnolia plantation many times. You have got me to start get into buying cars at copart. I’m yet to make a purchase, it I’m close. Thanks for all your videos!
I'm going to miss that Jaguar. It was a great project car. Thanks for showing us all that it is possible to get a great car for very little money and some sweat equity. Looking forward to seeing what was the issue with it not starting and also the auction bid and winner.
@9:45 I want that Slingshot! If I was in FL, I would buy it, no question asked. Once done, this thing can generate a huge amount of money in terms of renting on a site such as Turo or likewise!
I have a black R model drove 220k issue free miles. Took it off the road and fresdhening up emissions and other issues. Getting to egr and other parts is FUN. LOL. I'll never sell it , I'm Midway through my project. The car is gorgeous . Thanks for the video !
I had a 2000 S-Type that would do this, it was the transmission that would keep the engine from turning over. Shifting the trans to Neutral let the engine start up.
Park switch! Duff starter will at least click, surprised samcrac couldn't work that one out? Fact that the car wouldn't switch into neutral was the giveaway.
Great video. You need to do this more. I do like watching you transform trash to treasure but this was fun. It's like a treasure hunt. I bet the Jag will sell for 3K or a little more. The starter issue is a little unnerving as it is a Jag and parts are not I expensive and they can be a challenge to work on. But it looks like a fun car.
This was probably one of my favorite samcrac videos ever.
Definitely need more copart yard videos
I agree too.
Happy Father's Day! I found out the BMW had a salvage title, was for sale by the insurance company and already sold for a little over $4,000 right after I shot this video! So disappointed!!!
dont get a bmw. 😂
that was a steal for a sold price
crazy price
4K omg that was a steal.
I always liked those 6 series, but I never saw a 6 speed
Jaguar... electrical...who woulda guessed.
Jim Shelton lol
i think the starter went out. everything was fine car just wouldn't start.
LMAO
I think the car isnt registering the park gear... He should just take it out park put it in neutral and and try starting again.
Yeah never trust ford electrics.
Another video from Samcrac already...my favorite notification
mine too. Love Sam's videos
He's consistenly good....rich rebuilds he is hit or miss...
It was probably the immobilizer... or maybe the Jag was just upset to go to Copart after the much needed love you gave her... LOL. ;)
Oliver Vigilia Brake switch. You need to press the brake to start or shift.
gazjonze Do you honestly think he didn't do that?
Just like a dog who's been to the vet and doesn't want to go back.
I think it was the PRNDL
If it was the immobilizer it would've shown on the dash... it didn't. It didn't even click when he turned the key, starter isn't getting any power... probably just a fuse.
Some starters near end-of-life will fail when they get heat soaked after the engine has been running. Once the car cools down sufficiently, they work again.
Love to see more copart videos like this.. chevy beat(spark) owner from india👍👍
Aditya kumar agreed! Geo metro owner from China
Liked the in person #Copart visit Sam, I would watch a lot of these in the future. I also click on Ads I like on your videos.

Thanks Sam and ps, I'm watching you because of a nod to your channel by Mike at #StreetSpeed717
Thanks Matt! Can you link me to the streetspeed mention?
Mike mentioned samcrac?
At 2:00, are you filming with one hand and adjusting the radio with the other one while driving? 😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe
Samcrac reported for harmful/dangerous acts
You could use your knees
How do you push the pedals?
He just showing off how good the tracking is lol
Could have been the neutral safety switch? Sometimes if you don't hit Park just right it won't engage the starter. just an idea.
hgbeat that was what I was thinking, too.
With luxury cars, one should be taken easy with shifting gear or driving it. Or it will end up like this one.
When the forklift picked up the Jaguar it probably rattled the starter enough to start.
lol
Been there
Which means it may only have a few starts left
@@paulcunningham5327 i used to have a car with an apparently dead starter motor, all i had to do is slam on it a couple of times with a hammer and it would start perfectly - obviously, that wouldn't do the trick forever, eventually i switched it out with a new one
He Jigged the Jag
Another new Sam video??? What a great weekend!
2:10, one hand on the camera, one on the radio with both eyes focusing on either the viewfinder or the radio while going 80mph haha
Yes please more Copart digs would be awesome.
Wishing you luck on the jag sale hope you make some green with it.
For me I’d like to do the busa but I enjoy working on bikes
Your editing is getting dang good Sam!! Love your channel!
Every time i watch a samcrac vidjeo, i get a dominers add ... coincidence? I think not! lol
Dfinitely need more copart yard videos. I just want more of these!
Neutral safety switch my friend, should have played with the shifter.
Neutral Safety or Brake Switch/Interlock since he couldn't change into any gear.
I only buy from IAA.. rarely do I purchase from copart but from my experience with this model jaguar I say that you will be lucky to receive $1500 for the jag.... hopefully your viewers will start a bid war on the jag and you get up there in price... good luck sam!

Wish you luck on the sale Sam hope everything works out and you’ll get more then what you want brother 👍
Samcrac Vids are the best vids t get a notification for, keep up the good work Sam.
Gotta love Murphy's law Sam lol
Especially when there was a comment on the last video worried about forks damaging the car and the reply was that there would be no need as it could drive by itself lol.
You always make my day ever timw you visit copart. I visit this site since 2010
Park switch and neutral safety switch are notoriously bad for going out in those cars.
My thoughts exactly since he was having a problem with the auto trans. :D
Please make more videos like this! Super cool seeing them on video rather than pictures. The BMW is the coolest with the 6 speed
Damn that jag is beautiful I'd love to own that
I have a Copart lot near me and it is absolutely huge. Unbelievable how many vehicles are there and the various conditions you can see. Everything from cars like Samcrac Jag to completely burned and crumpled vehicles.
She didn’t want to go Samcrac, she wanted to stay with you!!
Neutral Safety switch is another intermittent start problem. If not starting in park, try neutral....This is common as is the heat soak mentioned by others.
Yes do more copart tours!
For the volume knob problem, take it off and use some compressed air to blow any dirt or debris away from the electrical board if you can see it.
Great video! You are not far from me at all. If you need a hand on some projects let me know. If it started when the car cooled down then it is the crank position sensor. It's a cheap part to replace.
Like this guys videos. Can tell he has passion for the cars and not just the profit.
You think the damage to that Vette was bad, imagine what the driver must look like.
You might find a foot under the gas pedal
very much dead
Chris James it would be weird walking through that lot seeing all those cars where someone spent there last moments in

o 44 wait til you see the ‘biohazard’ cars... blood splayed everywhere. One with brain bits as well
Thanks Samcrac for the video, a great way to start Father's Day🍺 and finish the Weekend!!😎🍻👍👍👍
You have a jump pack in your car, that's great. Now add an OBD reader ;)
I keep one that my phone is the reader and connects via Bluetooth
It's always nice to see videos of what they have there instead of just pics!!!
Had a friend who's car would do this when it got hot, and it was a bad starter. Once it cooled down, it would start.
I think there is a starter fuse in the trunk that gets bumped by the spare sometimes. It's prob that or a relay / ignition or wiring prob since you cant hear the starter solenoid engage at all. Fuse in the trunk is called a "mega fuse" or something if I remember correctly.
Glad they got her running. Maybe I'll buy it and drive it to Oklahoma then post it on my channel :)
Just bring tools!!!
For sure lol
Could be the neutral/park safety switch. Check all the fuses/relays. It sounds really simple.
Maybe the jolts towing or on the fork lift free'd up the starter?
Love these copart videos! So interesting when you just film their inventory
That Z06 has crazy bald tires!
Eli Spencer YES! I scrolling down, waiting for someone else to spot that! Might be why it looks in such a state..
Yep. Saw that too.
Hopefully no one was killed in that crash. Looked bad.
Those might have been drag radials.

MORE COPART YARD VIDEOS! Especially highlighting the process. This will make people more comfortable in bidding.
I have a F10 2013 bmw 535i with a rare 6-speed manual... you should bid on that 6-series!!!
That's an awesome setup, super rare! I used to have a 335i 6 speed!
Samcrac thanks for replying! I’ve been on this channel since you had like 5k subs!!! Greetings from Orlando!
Yeah, well, I have owned a 335i and 535i 6 speed. So there ;-)
Redline Raphael what year is your bmw? I also have an f10 535i but from 2011.
Florida bmw and jeep Srt enthusiast It’s a 2013
Yes more videos like this. Love your work Sam
Could be a trans position sensor or whatever they call it, basically doesn’t know what gear it’s in and the computer won’t let it start
Teegan Cathcart that’s exactly what I was thinking, too.
Great vid Sam. Actually loved it. Grab the Beeeeemer 6 speed.

Do more copart videos! Copart let Sam do more vídeos on your lots
Whatever happened the Car the transporter took off with ?
More Copart yard videos!!! That was great
Are there any possibilities you could ship it to Lithuania?
BTD P0WER i like your style
he is not responsible for it anymore
Export is common in copart email them it says on their website
BTD P0WER you could buy it and ship it yourself
I love looking at cars at Copart with you .. GOOD JOB..
Has the audi from some months ago on your channel sold?

Yes!
The M62 had a lot of problems. The current N63 has some issues, but I'd still take another one in a second.
argonian bilbo Same engine as the 5 series you mentioned.
those engines have many problems including oil valves, seals, gaskets, timing. Scare me off, especially if they have the 6 speed auto

Is this Adam Sandler ?
buy that thing you should go to more copart locations love this kinds of videos
Get the SUV BEEMER.
Faulty brake switch... Explains why it won't shift into neutral or start, you need to press the brake for both.
buy it
Seeing that wrecked Z06 makes me happy because it lets me know that somebody was really enjoying the car to the max. What makes me sad is all of the fast cars that never got driven to their limits.
You found a rare BMW good job, now go back to your Chevy junk
One of your most interesting videos. Not into Beemers but that Convertible was sweet.
This video is the best i ever seen on RUclips! kudos !
I like how you showed a little bit of the carnage cars, i see your taking inspiration from uber guy. Keep it up man.
Yes, more Copart episodes!
Looking forward to more Copart lot adventures! Eventually want to buy a project for myself :)
You worked really hard on this video. Nice.
I’ve been to that magnolia plantation many times. You have got me to start get into buying cars at copart. I’m yet to make a purchase, it I’m close. Thanks for all your videos!
I love it when but leaves videos then Camero in background
Do more auction yard walk arounds. Liked this type of video a lot. Hope the Jag sells for at least $7000.
That super charger whine😍
Awesome video! Really enjoyed the hands on site evals.
Wow...You were in my neck of the woods lol...That Magnolia plantation gas station isnt far from me at all.
I'm going to miss that Jaguar. It was a great project car. Thanks for showing us all that it is possible to get a great car for very little money and some sweat equity. Looking forward to seeing what was the issue with it not starting and also the auction bid and winner.
Last episode: Ah that engine light is nothing, it should run fine no problem! hmm reallly crac? lol
@9:45 I want that Slingshot! If I was in FL, I would buy it, no question asked. Once done, this thing can generate a huge amount of money in terms of renting on a site such as Turo or likewise!
I stopped at that store to get stuff on my way back from Daytona to Illinois. Crazy to see you there. Got Moccasins and some novelty sauces.
I have a black R model drove 220k issue free miles. Took it off the road and fresdhening up emissions and other issues. Getting to egr and other parts is FUN. LOL. I'll never sell it , I'm Midway through my project. The car is gorgeous . Thanks for the video !
Try the neutral lockout switch on the transmission. When broken acts like when you try to start the car in Drive.
I had a 2000 S-Type that would do this, it was the transmission that would keep the engine from turning over. Shifting the trans to Neutral let the engine start up.
I was really hoping you were talking about an E53 3.0 6-speed. Now that is a rare BMW 6-speed.
Park switch! Duff starter will at least click, surprised samcrac couldn't work that one out? Fact that the car wouldn't switch into neutral was the giveaway.
Most definitely great video showing Copart
Great video. You need to do this more. I do like watching you transform trash to treasure but this was fun. It's like a treasure hunt. I bet the Jag will sell for 3K or a little more. The starter issue is a little unnerving as it is a Jag and parts are not I expensive and they can be a challenge to work on. But it looks like a fun car.
Living that "Check Engine Light" JAG LIFE... HAHAHAHA
