I used to go up regularly, back in early 2000s and had no problem reserving an oceanside spot as long as i stayed up all night to pounce on the website when it opened for reservations. Now the whole campsite books out for the season in about 7 to 8 minutes, if you are lucky enough to get a low (
I agree, its too bad that the Federal campsite system books for the entire season on opening day. The BC system has a rolling booking system where you can only book 3 months out. That way, if you get up at 5am and don't get a campsite you can try again the next day ). Thanks for watching.
@darrensadventures yes, it was much easier when pacific rim was booked under the provincial system. And the new rolling res system for bc parks makes camping much more accessible to everyone
