  • CARVED WOLF WALKING STICK WITH SHED ANTLERS BY MIKE STINNETT
In this video I show you my carving techniques for how I carved this Timber Wolf walking stick out of a single piece of wood. This staff also has carved, shed antlers on the shaft. I also show you some of the wildlife scenes I have experienced on my outdoor adventures, hiking and photographing nature.

I don't think I can describe how happy these vidoes make me. The art and thought you put into the carving, the wood burning, the colors of the painting. Its beautiful. And seeing a little bit of your life with Pearl is wonderful!

You know.... I see these channels like this and it amazes me that people like justin beiber or some goofy gaming channel , or goofy fake news channel that can have millions of views , comments, and subscribers when THIS is what RUclips is all about , showing real talent... This guy is simply amazing and deserves more than what he gets... Or maybe I have it all wrong , Maybe he get's exactly what he wants from what he does and just chooses to share it with everyone willing to watch. It's just a shame people point their captivity on meaningless garbage. I would so like to purchase one of them awesome walking sticks as I do a lot of hiking Here in Florida woods in Palm Coast but could never afford to buy one of them. However it is fascinating to watch these videos. And what makes it even cooler is he takes a break and shows you his day in all. And you can't beat a good friend like Pearl.

I am always thinking the same thing! I just saw a girl who went on a talk show and mouthed off to her mother has 6 million subscribers! People who have talent and share meaningful content like this hardly get any attention.

Paul Colson, I hate to say it man but it's our generation or older that has done it to the kids. I mean personally I live on a farm and do very little Gaming, Internet or Useless skills. My kids on the other hand, even though they are expected to work around the farm, still have their friends and school that influences them into technology. Now let me just say I'm not a "Internet Natzi" lol but I only give my boys a few hours at night to do what they have to do online or do some gaming. It comes to a point where you would have to tie your kids up to keep them from accessing the internet or games one way or another. Most people though, my sons friend included, get to play games all day. Scroll internet all day. No responsibility or focus. My children play on Quads, Archery (Traditional), Hunt, Hike, Farm but most kids just don't have that opportunity to have a life like that and it's sad. It's up to the parents to teach their kids about life but most are "Too Busy" to take their kids out to the woods... camping or even spend anytime with them at all. So like you stated these arts are going to be dust in the wind and it is very sad. I learned so much from my grandfather and I will pass to my kids. I can only hope they pass on to the next generation. After watching the videos I am about to start carving. So in a way the internet can pass down a Skill if the videos are interpreted properly.

The problem is that when it was just the TV people could watch many did something else some of the time since the tv does not always show what you like.
But the pc on the other hand, there is always stuff you can waste your time on.
The second problem is that most people live in big cities. it's not easy to make a workshop to do stuff like this in. and then it also costs a lot of money to start up. and if you do use that money on it and figure out it's not for you. that a problem. so many do not even give it a try, to begin with.
When it comes to youtube subscribers then I'm kinda and likes. that's where I differ. I have never paid one single dollar to anyone on the internet that makes videos. since it's their choice to share. and I'm fine with that.
But Likes subscribe. the only reason I subscribe is to get the new videos from a certain person. it has nothing to do with the money in my book.
I have seen like 9 of his videos since it's impressive what he does.
But like me hosting 10+ games for a community I run. it's has cost me a lot of money buying a Rack server and the power consumption.
But I do it for free so others and enjoy it. not for me to gain money.
That's why when people share their experiences over the internet. it should not be about gaining money. but to make people know what's out there.
I'm so dumbfounded when I see twitch streamers getting donates all the time from random people they don't even know.
I'm interested in a lot of stuff like space, craftsmanship and such. but I also do look at junk from time to time.
And I do agree that technology is kinda ruining a lot of people. that could have done something more productive. But would also say enjoy life, how you like it.

Your carving skills are stunning! I found your channel a couple days ago and now I'm hooked. Your art is what brings the result to life. I love this one because the beauty that it brings, it also tells a story. And that's one of the things I love about art or wood carving, is the finished result brings a story. This wolf head is beyond words, I can't even describe how much it looks like a real wolf; and the antlers on the walking stick just make the piece amazing. You are a talented man, your dog is adorable, and your hard pieces of carved wood art are absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with all of us!

I've seen those burls many times while hiking and have always been fascinated by them. It's always fun when pets help out!--they remind us that now is always a good time to play. I love seeing all the wildlife--especially Pearl!. Thanks for another very enjoyable video!

Everytime I take a look at this site I am simply amazed by the talent that this man has. Also I get jealous of His life style. I love the area that he lives in (not sure where it is) who would not want to live in the mountains where deer will walk up to your front door? Also throw in a companion like pearl to share the outdoors with, have your family around to film your excursions, carve all day, have some native american flute playing in the back ground,, and just slow the world down and enjoy life. Tell me there is not a movie wrapped up in this mans life.
I have bits and pieces of the life. My parents instilled the outdoor life onto us kids from the day we were born, growing up on a farm just has that way of doing so. But farming is not by any means of a slow and peaceful life. LOL I still have some years to go and work at the dream, but it is great to see that it is obtainable. Thank you Mr. Stinnett you are a inspiration to us carvers and wood workers more than you really know.

While searching for wood carving tutorials I came across your channel. For someone like me who lives in a very crowed metropolis your videos are like a cup of cold water in a dry desert. Your wood carving of the wolf walking stick is quite exquisite. You are a great incentive for those of us who are just scratching the surface of wood carving. Thank you for sharing this beautiful gift.
