I just put new tires on my 2015 650 Vstrom Michelin Road 5 trail . Only put 30 miles on them so far. Then it started raining. Hopefully they are much better than the stock Bridgestone tires. I saw on Pan American on the road. Looks like they are moving in the right direction. To large and expensive for me. Keep making videos. 👍
On Friday 28 May i took delivery of my V Strom 650 2018 model. my wife ad I took a ride to our cottage in the mountains which in 487km from where we live. 49 km on gravel roads, i must say it is a really well balanced bike, tyres need to be changed, the stock tyres didn't handle too well on the gravel. What do you suggest
The vstroms do not have good suspension travel or ground clearance, it is not soft enough for the dirt, and the steering set up makes it dive in sand. For tires I recommend the Dunlop trailmax or shinoko. Check the stromtrooper forum for dirt tire choice options.
