A deck with room for 20+ hand traps, with consistent engine, nice protection and OTK potential is always a threat. Its extra deck has room enough for you to figure out a negation/disruption board for when going 1st. It is a really good deck IMO
being a 15 card engine it makes for a very funny side deck smoke screen if you're playing something like Lab since your extra doesnt mater that much in pure lab, so you just have the 5 extra deck cards syncrhos in the main extradeck and side into the whole tenpai engine if you win since your opponent will MAKE you go second
that's few people did in here on OCG. There was a r-ace deck that smokes into tenpai. Now people run ogre and dimbar for tenpai

Tenpai has the same issue as Branded and Kashtira in that as soon as they're prepared for it it's gonna make things MUCH harder for you. But those decks STILL manage to see success after all this time so expect to be annoyed by it from time to time and always make sure to have SOMETHING for this nonsense.

Everyone underestimating it already, how you know people are about to get smoked at locals by this deck.
It's like a $60 core if you got a trident dragon when it was $20 for 5 months
Need to see the whole video but Jesse has a good video explaining the lines and how much damage it can output. It deals enough to still OTK under Prosperity, which is pretty funny.

On the first combo you can’t use the Bident dragon special from grave more than once per turn. The correct combo is summon fadra with quick play spell (fadra effect summon from the grave) then special back the Bident dragion, synchro into trident dragion destroying field spell and the transcend synchro, double the trident attack and attack three times. You can also summon back transcend to deal even more damage
Glad I bought Trident Dragion before the price shot up.

This deck is so cool and it’s not expensive. Also the ability to play a crazy amount of board breakers and non engine makes the deck just play which is cool

Problem with tenpai is branded is also a relevant meta threat with the new Banlist so dimensional barrier covers two matchups making 3 barrier relevant in the side
& u can side secret village and nirvana high palladin against Runick. Also set rotation can be sided

Same here. Saw a video of someone doing white woods branded without branded fusion and it looked crazyyy. Leans more toward synchros but plays the main fusions because you never get locked into fusions

If you exclude the extra deck monsters like dis pater, princess, phoenix and trident. You can get most of the cards for like $40. I just today spent $20 got a decent chunk of Tenpai cards granted my deck list is probably different from yours

I predict this deck to do very well on release, perform super strong, but once people find the choke points during the battle phase stuff it’ll drop off more because the deck is very easy to counter and there are a loooot of counters. For example, waboku just ftks this deck cause they can’t kill you.

Time to side battle fader
The reason this deck is so good is that g1 it just has so much advantage. Games 2 and 3 when your opponent makes you go first is where it gets difficult
You actually can run heat wave and it's so toxic. This dude I went against opened it every game and I was so titled.
That’s where the 20 non engine come in. In games 2 and 3 you might side blowouts for tenpai but tenpai is ALSO siding blowouts for you.
And chances are tenpai is more consistent and has more non engine to win one out of game 2 / 3
I don't think a deck having a lot of counters constitutes a deck being bad or not. Branded has been tier 1-2 even when Ash existed, and Kashtira at it's peak was the best deck despite having a bunch of specialized hate for it like Kaijus and Books.
I think its does contribute to whether a deck is healthy or not depending on whether those counters are cards that are commonly played already like Ash, or niche cards meant for those decks like Kaijus.

It's good because of the Yellow one, which we are getting in July. It's fine now, but becomes tier 0 once he comes out.

@shinjiokami not with the extra deck being 200+ on almost two cards. You can play a budget variant but the true deck is standard meta price. And some supers can be $5-10 such as Corridor
I’m not expecting the core to cost more than $15, and I bought my trident dragion for $30 before the price skyrocketed. Definitely the cheapest meta deck I’ve bought.
Its good but easy to side against
All the cards ended up being printed in Super or Lower and very cheap xD even if you bought 3 trident dragions you would still be cheaper than Snake-Eyes

New budget deck release in the year of the dragon. Konami does throw bones every now and then, and this is one of those times.
It’s low rarity because Konami tcg found some issue with the deck lol 😂 it’ll be hit in 3 months watch. They don’t care about low rarity good decks, it’s the reason they print them that way or it would’ve had 2 secrets and 2 ultras like normal. We have full power snake eye, full power fire king, these fire dragons are going to be INSANE in the TCG, with little weaknesses drawing evenly or you can’t synchro traps is your only way. Konami tcg obv did testing and figured the deck will be a problem and won’t be around long lol watch every SInGLE low rarity high tier deck in the TCG gets slaughtered.
Deck is like 60 bucks if you don't want trident. I'm gonna go with cheaper than the 1k$ snake-eyes...

@@andleepfarooqui7874 Its too bad only 1 of the Tenpai is Light attribute, if all of them were either Light and/or Dark attribute then it could be possible to build a Chaos Tenpai deck but since its only 1 of them then I guess not. Yeah Bystial Tenpai would be good.

wow thats crazy the deck that kills you in BP does well in the format where 33% of the games a player drops a card from their hand that forces you to answer it, or immediately end your turn on a near empty board unless you want to give your opponent so many plusses into interaction that will stop you anyway
I don't want to credit maxx c entirely with the deck's success in the OCG but people are absurd to pretend its not a factor, I really think they're overhyping this thing.

Yeah, but in battlefield, you bell has to activate upon being attacked same with nightmare pain.So if you have the level of tango they cannot activate their effects

OCG has 3 Kaiser coliseum and Maxxc the OCG dragons are super hindered by floodgates, I think your sleepin hard on this deck, the TCG killed so many stops to this deck and they made the DECK LOw RARITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂 I think tenpai is going to be INSANE in the TCG. There’s a spell cards called any monster with 1000 or less atk can’t be specialed, Yubel has many cards to counter it. Just think about it WHY oh WHY is Konami making the deck low rarity lol?? They’ve tested and obv see that it’s an issue and won’t be around too long. Also snake eye Tenpai is going to be played any snake eye ash gets you to a fire dragon on board, so get ready for some crazy shit. Yall don’t understand we have 3 fire baby’s, 1 blaster, a full power snake eye deck that can get you to a fire dragon instantly, the deck is going to be insane. Tenpai is super cheap from the core itself and a secret dragion synchro is like 40-50 bucks. But Konami will have it in a reprint set, I’m telling yall this deck getting murked in the TCG Konami only prints really strong decks low rarity when they know they are gunna hit it, now with all floodgates gone, you have what evenly? While I’m able to play way more non engine or play snakes or dragon link the deck is fire I promise lol I didn’t believe the hype is either but the card pool from OCG to TCG is so drastically different that Tempai weren’t as good in the OCG format, now the TCG I’ve been hearing some crazy stuff about this deck is a lot with double arma knight and 3 Mali this deck gunna go off
