for anyone that doesnt want to drop a ton on trident: you can also play small world instead of prospi, which allows you to avoid using trident way more often than needed due to playing more handtraps and having a bit more utility. Phantazmay happens to be the best bridge card ever printed for tenpai specifically, as they only share the dragon typing and phantazmay has 1800 def- which it shares with every ghost girl handtraps ever printed. the ghost girls being level 3 also allow you to go phantazmay > ghost girl that isnt ash blossom> white dragon or green dragon, or phantazmay > ash blossom > red dragon. Coincidentally, Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos *also* has 1800 def, so you can go any level 3 tenpai or phantazmay > any ghost girl not named ash blossom > blaster, or the reverse. You also can play Amorphage Goliath, which can also act as a bridge with veiler or ghost belle, and is an okay target to summon off of seals.

This is really sad to say, but I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if a couple years down the line Tenpai gets support in the form of a fire dragon synchro that prevents the opponent from summoning monsters. I can already see it, opponent has no cards on field, activates battle fader, you quick synchro into this fire dragon and the battle fader whiffs it's effect. (assuming that's how it would actually work, I'm not sure if the battle phase would end anyways)
Since this deck seems like it’s genuinely going to be a meta contender instead of a gimmick I wonder if it’s going to give Purrely a boost since Big Noir can just spin the field spell then sit unaffected in defense mode with now two delicious under it.
To be fair this deck can set up going 1st by summoning Sphere and Crystal Wing by using Ultimaya Tzolkin. Not the best end board, but good enough for a OTK deck. Also, if you know you are going 1st then you can just side in flood gates like Heat Wave to buy you a free turn. The OCG has already figured out the best way to play this deck.

Wow Trident Dragion. What a random card to suddenly be worth some money. I actually ran a couple of these way back when and I'm pretty sure they're still in my monster binder in my closet.
Guys I know he literally said Tenpai was "awful", "terrible", and "not good at all" two months ago but look! It's still merely the _secondth_ best deck in the format, so if you think about it he was mostly correct
As a mahjong player, I am very disappointed they are no longer Dora. For those who don't know dora titles are bonus tiles in mahjong. Dora is short for Doragon (Dragon). Its based on the western tradition of dragons being powerful and guarding treasure. There are "Dragon" tiles in mahjong, but in Japanese they are actually archery terms. They are only dragons in the west because someone in marketing thought it was sell better.
Haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh in years. Last time i played as when shaddoll first came out. Anyways i watch a Yu-Gi-Oh video once in a while to see what's up and recent talk of this tenpai deck made me look through my old collection and found three trident dragions. Debating whether i should sell them and stay out or get back in playing tenpai since i already have the dragion...
Sell them. The card will be reprinted shortly and you can buy one back. Also the deck only ever runs one. So even if you get back into it. You could sell two and use the money from those two to get the rest of the cards you need.
@@josephcourtright8071 literally just bought the deck yesterday lol. I found buyers but they were kinda low-balling me. I think they are roughly 120$ when I last checked and they offered 60$.
I was just saying that I wish there were more low rarity archetypes like 3 weeks ago and then the monkeys paw I was holding curled its finger ominously.
I really appreciate the centurion player actively choosing to not win the game at about 2 different points so mbt can show off the combo, it's about sportsmanship sometimes
As a note IF you have dragion you can play shifter in this deck and still have a one card OTK. Also dragons means magnamut and if you're scared of not resolving it dark/light monsters are pretty popular also you can run light and dark handtraps. Pretty funny deck although it's non interactive as hell.
Is it finally Photon Jumper's time to shine? Its the best Battle Fader style card for decks which don't mind skipping their next battle phase because it's the only one that doesn't require a direct attack or battle damage to be used so you can stop the Tenpai player from getting their bonus effects or breaking your board. You could even play 1 copy of Cosmic Cyclone to search off of Photon Jumper's floating effect so you can pop their field spell on your turn and break whatever board they set up. It's floating effect doesn't care where from or how it's sent to the GY either so in Lightsworn with the new support you could play it in the main deck with Photon Lead to search off a mill as an extender.
I never considered the fact that they can just summon the boss during MP1 to avoid all interruptions. I'm think cosmic cyclone or ghost ogre are going to be required main deck cards to hit the field spell.

Wow that voiceless player choosing not to send Lo off branded fusion was certainly one of the decisions of all time....
Really happy my friend talked me into 2014 format 😊 Got My Trident for $12
I think he forgot to post the link in the description to the primer video he mentioned for making Transcendent Dragon on the opponent's turn.
Make Seal out of 2 tenpai.
On opponents turn use it and summon Green. Green gets red out of the grave and make the 7 in bp. 7 effect to revive a LV 3. Effect to synchro into the 10
Now if you flip Ojama Trio and then the new trap you get an otk in their turn
Playing this deck feels like that moment in an anime where the protag screams really loud and their energy blast just vaporizes whoever they're fighting
2:55 i love how if the ad is in a diff place it feels like a cut
To go first there is the ancient fairy/assault black wing/Ultimaya-Crystal combo that set also necrovalley.
That Game 3 playing killing through 5 monsters is crazy wtf
I have a single copy of Trident Dragion I got like 4 years ago for a few dollars cause I thought it was cool looking. It's funny to see it worth so much now.
Sell it quick before get reprinted xD
@@invertbrid idk I'm actually interested in playing Tenpai so I'm thinking I'll just keep it since all the other cards are looking to be pretty cheap
@@burningscorcher well u can do that too. I just feel reprint gonna be quite soon, and u can just sell ur copy now while its high, and buy the reprint ver later.
But yea if u wanna play it day 1, its good idea too. Hope u enjoy tenpai 👍
@@invertbrid thanks 🙂
This is now my absolute favorite mbt skit. I haven’t even watched past the marvel add I just keep rewatching the skit and lose it every time he says the line “do you remember yugioh”
My guy used a box of Dragon Shield sleeves as a phone
That opening skit was amazing.
this deck can also run heat wave if made going first just heatwave and your opponent has to hopefully draw the fader cuz they cannot play the game
Daruma Cannon also sends all fire dragons to grave rather than flipping them because of the field spell lmao
oh yeah i forgot that daruma tramples towers
that's hilarious
And what if they play lightning storm or feather duster before summoning? You need threatening roar
@@xatuyou8045 rollback lol. Lab in general is very good at dealing with tenpai.
@@Xenonfuji Yeah. Sounds like a good matchup for Lab.
I laughed hard af at, "I'll just pay the $100" lmaooooooooo
Unaffected during main phase, no effects during battle phase. Fun and interactive.
Low key im so excited for tenpai, me and a friend decided that we're gonna duel each other irl so we've gotta actually build decks and i was gonna pick up ashened but honestly im probably gonna try and build this or raika
Wow Trident Dragion. What a random card to suddenly be worth some money. I actually ran a couple of these way back when and I'm pretty sure they're still in my monster binder in my closet.
There definitely should be a Blaster Dragon Ruler in this deck too
Well, after 15 years of having it, my trident is finally going to be useful
Almost tempted to get back seeing a going second deck... Do pretty well...
Guys I know he literally said Tenpai was "awful", "terrible", and "not good at all" two months ago but look! It's still merely the _secondth_ best deck in the format, so if you think about it he was mostly correct
You can use heat wave going first. You forgot to mention threatening roar is a problem.
There are literal Yu-Gi-Oh! cards named after Dora tiles, so it feels like lore of Yu-Gi-Oh! itself being lost in translation as well.
The intro made me cry, I just sold one 3 months ago for market price :(
Flower Cardigan is Poggers 🗿
And I stand by that !
"With Tenpai, the battlephase is good again!"
War Rock: Are we a joke to you?
That opening skit was brutally accurate... xD
I use three of the 4 dragon rulers in my build. It's great
At least if/when this deck comes to Master Duel, Trident Dragion is only R rarity
me with a trident dragion in my bulk: huh? neat.
So glad I have an ultimate rare Trident Dragion.
BY FAR my favorite skit.
No Heat Wave in the side deck?
The fact he said you need trident 🔱 would suggest it’s aware of its need and will be in an ots or a battle pack
Gods. This is what War Rock wishes it can do
Trident Dragion has outperformed Amazon and Google in the stock market
As a note IF you have dragion you can play shifter in this deck and still have a one card OTK.
Also dragons means magnamut and if you're scared of not resolving it dark/light monsters are pretty popular also you can run light and dark handtraps.
Pretty funny deck although it's non interactive as hell.
Play Heat Wave in the side for when they make you go first. Activate it and pass. GG.
Also Dimension Shifter. 😈
Now that's a lot of damage. This deck kinda gives me Mermail flashbacks.
I was so ready for the "but first". Got into the motion and all. Now i feel betrayed. At least I got to hear it in my head.
Teaching the majong tiles to synchro
Bident blast has to be a reference to Biden Blast lol.
god this age of fire will never end
Best opening skit to date!
I never considered the fact that they can just summon the boss during MP1 to avoid all interruptions. I'm think cosmic cyclone or ghost ogre are going to be required main deck cards to hit the field spell.
Side deck, maybe. With Snake-Eye still the best deck, it probably is not a good idea to main them.
Ok that intro was actually fire.
Finally
LEDE Ten Minute Testings
I'm glad I opened a box of raging battle a few years ago when it was dirt cheap. Maybe I should build this deck
I can definitely see Konami TCG not reprinting Dragion just to spite the players after how we bullied them for the "ask a friend" thing lol
Me as one of the ten Ancient Gear player ; it never left.
Has Trident Dragion been good before the fire dragon synchro battle phase deck?
"You guys don't have friends?" - Mr. Konami
