Such a shame the Shells didn't work, they look really nice in the pots though. Niwaki tools are just fantastic, a real favourite of mine. I bought the same hori hori at Chelsea and have used it so much, such a good investment. The snips you bought looked great too.
Think of the seashell as a long-term lime source/fertilizer instead of a barrier for the slugs. We all overwhelmed by the To Do now and again. You are doing well. Cute little bench.
