When you first get your Cartier Santos the leather or croc strap will be packaged in separate pieces. Its not difficult but I was slightly confused when I first looked at it so I hope this video can be helpful for those who are like me and do not like to read instructions. 💪
After lots of searching, finally found one that goes through all the steps so well. I have the rubber strap, and these helped. Thanks!

Just picked up my Santos today (only popped out for lunch 😁 ) leather strap needed setting up from new but I was only 80% sure how to do it, as it doesn’t show in the booklet. Your video was a huge help. Many thanks.

I have the blue Santos large but it came with a much better strap. Navy blue alligator
Nice! I know they sold that strap at some point but I’ve never seen it come with it from the factory. Either way, that is a nice touch. I would have definitely preferred your band! 💪
Just got the Santos large with the white dial yesterday! Ty for the vid. As for third party straps, good one to check out is Delugs, they basically reverse engineered Cartier's strap changing system, heard good things about them and they offer so many colors and materials that Cartier just doesn't have. Imma buy one from them soon
Nice, no problem! Yea I came in with the mindset of getting the white dial but ended up with this blue dial. Still love it though. Definitely love how easy it is to change the straps. I’ll definitely check out the site. I feel like I’ll be a little limited on the strap colors due to me having the blue dial but I do find that the blue dial goes well with most things. 💪
@@Jsean yeah I LOVED the blue dial too and honestly it looks "fancier" than the white dial to me in a way. But ended up going white dial since I don't really have any white dial watches and I know the white dial always gonna be timeless. Just ordered a light-blue colored strap for my Cartier, I'll see how long it takes to come in.
@@andycjin4955 nice 👍 yea I was thinking about how it would play with my other watch dials and the blue is definitely different than my other options. I would have normally went against any blue dial but I like how dark it is. Sometimes it can even look slightly black. It’s quite a bit more darker in hue than the Rolex blue dial too. I think the white dial is simple and classy! 💪

The one thing that is INCORRECT is the tail at the end. It needs to flip back into the buckle so that there isn't a goofy tail hanging out.

That joint had me confused as hell also. Took me days to figure out. But I like the band and ease of coconnection.
Lol, yea it was confusing at first glance. I like both bands but I didn’t think I was going to like the leather strap as much as I do now. I definitely like the quick release system too! 💪

I've had the worst time with Cartier. They gave me a mismatched strap and buckle that wouldn't work together because they changed the design. They just sent me another strap. It won't work either because the part with the pins on the one strap is too narrow for the buckle they gave me.
Oh really! Wow that sucks. Do you have a Cartier store close by? It may be best to go straight there. So far I’ve never had any issues but man, yours is one after another. Hope it gets worked out asap! 💪
