36:10 totally agree the most important as a technical point of view is a good audio recording first . The photography can be terrible as long as the audio is good you are fine .
That’s the beauty of L2, like it or loath it, it’s a great partnership, in my humble opinion, for anyone in this eco system. Add the L Mount Alliance, not Sigma in the Q range but with all of the L mount changeable lens lineups, happy days. This Q3 actually seems a good investment. I’d still need to sell or trade in some gear to be able to afford a Q3.

Cool talk. Rather than the k3 mono Pentax should have re-dropped the GR1 film body, 2023 edition. I own a q2 monochrom iso 6,400 to 50,000 it's unmatched for a AF point and shoot. If you don't shoot concerts, after 7pm street, or in an urban environment - even more so if you dont have many street lights, you may not see the benefits the tool provides. q3 mono is going to be crazy once the waitlists drops, 100%. And facts, I went GFX 50R to Leica and should have invested the money toward the Leica in the first place.
Not really. Apple computers are similar in price to PCs with matching build. An iPhone doesn’t cost much more than a top Samsung model. Leica is in another price bracket entirely from other brands
Zeiss ZX1 was an attempt to put Android in a camera, it even had lightroom built in, it was super mega expensive. Would really love to buy something like an RX1R iii or FujiFilm X-E4 or other small camera with Android built in and it just backs up to Google Photos or whatever automagically when it connects to wifi and super easy to upload to Instagram etc
I’ve had an X100V for two years now but I’m seriously considering selling up for the Q3 (especially with the overinflated second hand prices of the Fujifilm)
Q2 is getting very cheap very fast. Probably going to sell my Sony A7c and a few lenses and switch to the Q2 for my everyday carry kit. Downgrade in features for upgrade in SEZZINESS.
Would have liked a Visoflex instead of the flip LCD, they shot the aesthetics with this LCD not as lovely as the Q2. The USBc and other connectors could have been housed in the attached hand grip. Video is of no interest to me, I just use stills, everything else is great especially no constrains on low light. SO keeping my Q2.
Kai is great, but people shouldn't be puzzled about the deficiencies of the new ZV1 - ii. Sony could make a perfect small camera, but that would hit sales of cameras further up the range. Better to buy sell a camera that has mass appeal initially, but whose deficiencies will become apparent after a few months of use, prompting the sale of yet another camera.
You know the camera industry too well. Once you accept the camera you need and resign yourself that they will never build the camera you want you'll be ok. There's an artificial feature/price tree to insure every camera has a niche and won't compete against other models. The goal isn't to sell you one perfect camera but make you buy as many different models and sell to as many different people at as many price points possible using the same tech.
You can’t just look at the stats on paper. Thats like looking at the 0-60 times on cars. It matters, but it’s not what makes it great. hold and use a Leica and you will see why they are so great.
I love Kai, one of the most knowledgeable and amusing reviewers I have come across. I love his YT videos. But, I can't see how he can say buy the Q3 in preference to the X100V. If I had unlimited budget, yes, I would go for the Q3. But the Q3 is five times the price of the X100V and offers little that is better for me. I'd prefer to have a Q3, I think it's a beautiful camera, and I love its simplicity. Whenever I hold my X100V I always wonder "why did they put command dials on it - a complication too far, I'd prefer simplicity". But, I've disabled the command dials and have a camera that is basically shutter speed and aperture control with great autofocus. I'd love a Q3, but financial logic dictates that I'm going to stick with the X100V. By-the-way, Fujifilm service is also stunning, I don't know about Leica, but Fujifilm repaired my X100V in a way that I cannot more highly compliment - I had my camera back in 10 days.
Kai can afford it and people who do a lot of tech reviews actually get tech fatigue and want something like the Leica. People don't earn money or use Leicas for professional work, its a bit like a Rolex. Even though it tells time that's not the reason you get one. Same for Leica its status and nostalgia wrapped up in one. Don't get me wrong their well made cameras but at the end of the an overprice luxury item. People make the mistake of looking to RUclipsrs to inform their buying decisions but they get gear free, or use it for content.
Leica Q3 can only be a dream camera for me, Sony on the other hand, is very uninspiring, putting in and taking out features, coming out with a pancake fixed lens then this wider lens. Totally money grabbing, lazy tactics disappointed.

Hey, Kai, I finally did come up with a good reason to promote the Leica Q3. One can make better coins on affiliate sales than if one goes for a vintage Brownie on E-Bay! Right? As for me and my house. There is NO WAY that I would get a Lecia Q3 with my hard earned money. If u want to shoot a Leica, get a real Leica. A Real Leica shoots film, 35 mm film! Period. When I was at CalArts in the seventies,, I was able to check out Leica cameras/with lenses for class projects. Now that's real photography. Why Leica ever caved into this digital game beats me. As far as I'm concerned, these are plastic-metal toys & Leica makes a TON of money off them while laughing all the way to the Deutschesbundes Bankolla! If u want to shoot Leica, get a 35mm Leica camera that shoots real film. Then you'll know what photography is really about. 😎😎

Yes exactly. Now with the advancements here, if you are happy with a 28mm lens... this camera is actually well priced for what it is. Nothing else exists on the market like it.

Unfortunately for Kai, it has taken him 20 years longer to grow up. Now that he is forty years old, I can finally watch him and not think that I'm listening to my 13 year old nephew!
I like when you crap on Sony but drool over leica. They used Sony sensors up until the last couple of cameras lol. They are rebadged Panasonic. I can't wait to spend that much money on a mediocre camera with a red badge. I'd rather have a s1r over any leica. Only thing leica has is glass in my book.

What I would like to see in blogging cameras is an audio correction function, automatically deleting all 'like', 'sort of' & 'kind of' references.
