      I wish I would have learned to have a realistic understanding of myself as an Infj when I was your age Wenzes! Thankful to find you and…..for me better late than never!

    Long before I realized I was an INFJ, I frequently described myself as someone who would spend an hour figuring out how to do a 30 minute job in 15 minutes. For prospective employers, I'd then point out that that doesn't make any sense for something you're only going to do once, but if you let me optimize something you do every day, I can save you a boatload of money!

    • @mariagordanier3404
      @mariagordanier3404 10 месяцев назад +21

      I am the same. I can see when systems need fixing or streamlining to work better. I am always coming up with better ways to do things, but am not good at convincing others.

      @@mariagordanier3404 I don't know where you are in your career, but here's something that helped me early on as an IT consultant. If there is a problem you think you can fix, volunteer to take a look at it. The worst they can say is no, but if it is a pressing problem and nobody else is stepping up, you'll probably get a shot. If, on inspection, you find that it is clearly beyond your skill level, let them know -- but also tell them what you learned about the problem. It might be enough to help them find someone to fix it.
      Of course, if you CAN fix it, you will have earned a feather to put in your cap, and they might search you out the next time there is a problem!
      One last thing: Once you have a reputation as a problem solver, don't be afraid to let people know your skills -- just don't be too pushy about it. Humility is a good thing.

      @@mariagordanier3404 This is exactly my problem at my current job. I've optimized my own work as much as I can and the only things left I see to be improved involve other people working together, but I know they're never going to listen to me so I've had to accept that it's time to look to my own growth elsewhere.

    Had to smile at predicting outcomes :D Unfortunately I got trangulated by family narcissism pretty much beginning in childhood, and a hoover/discard pattern all through adulthood before the final "purge," (they just wouldn't let me go peacefully, and felt like a prisoner on house arrest while with them). I literally called out there every motivation, step, goal in the process; even predicting where they were going to live based on vacation areas, and this was like a decade before it eventually transpired. Trust your third eye, in the Infj. We aren't necessarily psychics, I think we are incredibly smart, great at gathering information/seeing patterns/puzzles, and strong extroverted feeling gives us the ability to make people transparent. There are fun aspects to being this personality type !?!??!

  • @Symphonia1983
    @Symphonia1983 10 месяцев назад +1

    As a Sigma INFJ it is something that you can't just put down in words, we think that we are small but our shadow shows so much more. Being untouchable and unpredictable is a good treat if you really know that you understand it. To me personally a definition of a personality isn't the fun part, we strife for the unsolved puzzle. We are only complete when we start to know our own strength and limitations. If you have seen Batman how he grows up to become who he is it isn't the ending that speaks everything but it's the struggle through the whole process. From start to finish is the key to success but learning the ropes of how to deal with the process is what counts.

    It’s like you’re reading my mind with each video, thank you! I like what I call “mindless art” - and is starting an artist project or session without an actual defined “goal” and see what happens. For example, in the last few days I’ve been doing some abstract paintings 🧑🏻‍🎨 🖼️ and generally I have no idea 🎨🤷🏻 what is it that I’m painting until I’ve been at it for a while… the I can see all the stuff tumbling in my head 😵‍💫🫨😑😵‍💫in front of me. It’s super therapeutic - sometimes I do something similar playing musical 🎶 instruments or writing ✍🏼 - sometimes I go ohh 😲 other times I go oh 😑 often I go uuuhhh 😳 🫢🫨🫠🥳 - highly recommended!

    #4 Optimizing describes where I've gotten to in my current job. I've done all I can for what I do and have been finding it harder and harder to be motivated in the least. It confuses me how others there do not understand why a bigger paycheck isn't enough incentive for me to work more hours, especially since the only things I can see remaining to be optimized are team-oriented and too many are unwilling to do anything about it.
    So I've had to accept there's nothing left there for me and it's time to move on.

  • @Mcky-lw1zb

    We analyze it and come up with a conclusion but at times, I wake up in the morning and a different concept, a different viewpoint pops in my head. Helps me to look at it from another angle. Yes, we do like shortcuts for optimization, but that would suggest that we know what we want.

    #4 is both entertainment and necessity for me. As an INFJ with ADHD and lower energy from health issues, I /have/ to optimize and find shortcuts or else things like cleaning the bathroom or paying bills on time won't consistently happen. One of those things still doesn't (I haven't given up on it, I'm still testing some ideas).

    I at times like disturbing the mental mind of a person to the point where they have no choice but to speak positivity about themselves or of the situation it's awesome and they're like yeah I told you it's amazing how a person and pointing out the things that are usually not pointed out and it gives them a whole new way of thinking cultivating expanding and excavating their own mentality and it's just you should have done that a long time ago
