Absolutely beautiful car. Although, I don't understand who would pay ~$200,000 MORE than a Singer Porsche--different strokes for different folks I suppose. But for the $680,000 this car costs you could get: Porsche 930 Turbo ($100,000) Porsche 964 Turbo ($150,000) Porsche 993 Turbo ($170,000) Porsche 996 Turbo ($40,000) Porsche 997 Turbo ($60,000) Porsche 991 Turbo ($150,000) =$670,000 Sort of apples and oranges comparison but I think this sort of puts into perspective just how expensive $680,000 is
This thing is cheaper than legit 993 GT2's which auction for around one million bucks, though. And probably drives even better, faster and has modern amenities.
Yeah true that, but the 993 GT2 is so expensive because it has prestige and history. Honestly, its really arbitrary to start comparing prices of cars because it is all so relative that its not really fair. And someone who is in the market for a car like this probably already has an incredible Porsche collection so my list of 911 Turbo's prices isn't very relevant.
$600k dreams ... At that price point you are talking about RUF territory, and regardless if this car outperforms a RUF, from a collectable/investment standpoint you would be wise to put the $ into a RUF.
JoMaHa If you have that kind of money to blow on a car you won't likely be buying it as an investment. If I had a good few mil in the bank I'd happily buy one of these to go with my other fleet of nice cars. Moot point as I'm a broke ass:P
Mista Butterworth its one thing to be proud...but stupid on this level impresses me.if i ever hear someone tell me they spend that much ill straight laugh in their face
You don’t give yourself enough credit. Really great presentation with driving skills that are a cut above most. You drive that car like it’s been your daily for years. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work...
Dude, your videos and reviews are fantastic. Perfectly lean and to the point and give us exactly what we want - these GREAT cars on GREAT roads. NICE. Matt, you rock. R&T will be blessed to have you.
I have been following this amazing car on their IG feed and it’s awesome that you got to drive it! Superb video driving it in all its glory! What a beautiful design and it’s the ultimate driver’s. If I ever won the lottery this would be he car of my dreams! Maybe with the dovetail like you mentioned. Can’t wait for more video of drive-by shots to hear it in all its glory. Great video, Matt!
I certainly don’t know Matt but I’m a Porsche enthusiast from way back that lived in SD, CA for a decade partially from the urging of my childhood friend also named Tim, who was a Porsche mechanic that ended up owning his own shop in SD. Point being, Betim and Joey both worked at his shop early on. I absolutely love the success both boys have achieved and getting to hear their names on vids I watch and forums I read. Salúd, Mr Berisha and Mr Seely for all y’all do for the community and the exquisite work you’re producing! My small tie to Excellence. All the best and love the shoutouts from some serious media-hitters in-the-know. Who knew the days at MoM would lead to BBi and EMotion? Dammit gents.
After watching the build documentary on /drive and the other video of pure sound and this-I can definitely see just how amazing of a car this truly is. Definitely a dream car.
What an amazing car. Probably the best "old" Porsche that you could hope to buy with far more character than even most brand new Porsche products. Well done, Guntherwerks.
Good to see you moving on up Matt. TST is one of the few channels I'm subbed to and I love your work. You give honest unbiased feedback and you put some sweet ass machines on TST! This is another prime example.
can you add another gopro pointing at your feet too? have it on the lower right of the video. love to see your footwork after watching the grand tour 'farmkhana'
He isn't doing one takes anymore. He made a video about it a little while ago, he said he had like 80 one takes recorded and set to be released over time but that once he's uploaded them then he won't do anymore.
Matt, this is my favorite video to date. I've been following your channel from day one and I've been following you from way before that. Awesome stuff. Great vid. Frame rate is stupendous. Feels like 120fps
It seems to me that Gunther Verks has built the Porsche I always wanted. They got the looks the Power and Suspension that at least for me is what I have been wanting out of a Classic air-cooled Porsche. With Air
This car is a dream on wheels! Simply amazing! And Matt: you're a wonderful reviewer, I felt almost like I was the one driving. Unfortunately I was not, though.. Keep being awesome!
Fantastic Matt. Another great video, and the "simply" sound version of this video is also amazing. Here's how I see this car and the singer, tell me if you agree. The comparison is inevitable, even though they sit at complete opposite ends of the spectrum, but at the same time both convey the ultimate expression of what a 911 is/could be/should be.... etc. The Singer is the ultimate expression of the art and style of what a 911 is, and it also happens to drive/sound/perform sublimely. This car is the ultimate expression of the 911's performance (N/A of course) handling and driver experience that happens to have amazing style to go with it. It's expression is in it's function. The singer is Function Follows Form, this car is Form Follows Function. Both are HIGHLY desirable but in different ways. I guess if you can afford one, you can afford both....LOL. Would be very hard to decide if you could only have one though. Thanks for the video Matt!
I luv the fact that vorsteiner took part in the transformation. In fact, vorsteiner (I think) had the Huracan performante look down as an aftermarket tuner before the performante came out.
Glad to hear your working with the GT people. Hope to meet you some time at the club sport events. I would love to be at a track day with Gunther works and GT3/2s mine is a 1995 cub car (black)
What an epic car with unreal speed, I mean you only have to drive big T once to understand how fast he is actually going. The idea of a lightweight 993 with modern driving capabilities makes me giddy and from the looks of this video it made you that way too Matt! Porsche has the best engine note.
OMG what a stunner this Gunther Werks in red based 993 already fab special the S models turbo bodied. Thanks for the review as usual well done. Not comp with a Singer but 993 based makes it look better.
Video like this make me wish that one take will never go away.
Dylan L
Plot twist. One Takes never go away. The announcement of their end was merely an attention getter and viewer attraction technique.
Codeman I wish
Same here, only car reviews that dont bother me..all the rest is little boys driving and people from the uk wich i cannot stand accent(sorry) ;)
Vince Vega Customs our accent is not that bad

The look is cool but, I'd rather have a GT3, and have money left over to get another Porsche.
Singers are more expensive than you'd think. Nobody goes to Singer and spends the minimum.
some people already have all those turbos in their collection... Thats why they buy a Singer Porsche
Yeah true that, but the 993 GT2 is so expensive because it has prestige and history. The stuff that dreams are made of right here!
$600k dreams ... At that price point you are talking about RUF territory, and regardless if this car outperforms a RUF, from a collectable/investment standpoint you would be wise to put the $ into a RUF.
The stuff that makes Matt jizz in his pants 🤣

@@jomaha9227 im for RUF all the way. the new ctr and scr are the standard
What a hideous car and hideous statement. Gynttherworks. Lmao smh
Way better video then The Drives version Matt your a great presenter my man keep on the hustle
I totally agree with that statement!
Agreed!
I don't think the guy on drive even shifted the car lol
Such a great review
And thats such a shame because it sounds SO BEAUTIFUL When shifting! JUST LISTEN To 9:16!
That FUCKING MOTOR, is literally gorgeous. Man, kudos to the engine builder.
Flat6King - It better be gorgeous for $100,000 just for the motor, in this tune.
Mista Butterworth its one thing to be proud...but stupid on this level impresses me.if i ever hear someone tell me they spend that much ill straight laugh in their face
He just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec system exhaust.
40 WEIGHT? 50 WEIGHT?!?!?!?!
400r would pull a premium 2 weeks before race wars wouldn't it Ted!
@@Ruby-tj2gz *smart ass tone* probably...
They call me Hector. I got a last name, too, but I can't pronounce it.
So this is the reason why Hector went into Harry's to buy a MoTec exhaust system..
Your channel is already one of the "big boys". Don't overestimate traditional media.
A significant amount of this one-take are human noises that aren't words.
Speed limit has never looked so fast
Sounds so SAVAGE!!!
FYI: This car has an air-cooled flat 6 engine....what are you talking about lmao
575,000$ "savage" ?
Best I can do is 20 bucks
+Wyvern Rick from Pawn Stars... is that you?
You don’t give yourself enough credit. Really great presentation with driving skills that are a cut above most. You drive that car like it’s been your daily for years. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work...
Appears to be extremely planted and accessible, lovely soundtrack too - A really great take on the 993.
*they did such a good job on this Porsche...what a gorgeous/badass car!*
Thank you for reviewing this casual driver.
IIt's been a pleasure to watch and this car is insanely balanced, as you said. Wow.
I was only supposed to watch to first 5 minutes and go to work watched the whole thing now I’m late awesome video and what a car
Dude, your videos and reviews are fantastic. Perfectly lean and to the point and give us exactly what we want - these GREAT cars on GREAT roads. NICE. Matt, you rock. R&T will be blessed to have you.
That bass note goes directly into my stuff! Love the carbon finish and lightness! Colin Chapman would have been proud!
Easily one of my favourite channels on RUclips!!! Amazing descriptions to the point you can completely understand what is meant. Oh and what a car

What a sweet machine, they have a great job of building this Porshe!
After watching the build documentary on /drive and the other video of pure sound and this-I can definitely see just how amazing of a car this truly is. Definitely a dream car.
This one was by far one of my favorite One Takes! The way the engine would sing every time you shifted. Epic!! Truly Epic!! Well done!
And Carporn for your viewing pleasure. Thx you Matt
Congrats on the R&T gig! It's always been my favorite US-based car magazine.
Lovely car. Looks so stable through the bends.
Matt’s laugh sounds like Winnie the Pooh 5:32
Kenny Widjaja - Or the Pillsbury Doughboy getting his belly tickled!
Kenny Widjaja- Lmfao, one year later and I just commented the exact same thing😂😂😂
What a machine ! it just seems so functional and flawless !

That sound... just perfect. 👌
WOW that thing was something special. Don't know how I missed this one the first time around.
There’s no doubt about Matt’s ability to drive pretty effin fast and talk like a reviewer at the same time!
I liked that car and drive you did, excellent work Matt !

That Porsche sounds great. Who ever owns it got a Beast!!!
Wow. That throaty sound is music to my ears...
That ENGINE! I got chills hearing it go to redline, then Matt shifted gears and gave it the gas again! Double chills!
This video was so therapeutic my (wannabe) sports car and I just snuggled up and watched it together.
One of the most beautiful cars I ever laid eyes on. Definitely one of my dream cars
I could watch this video all day. That car is maddening!
First one take I've watched all the way through in a year

ohhh man...Rothsport built. Yes Please! I want a go in this beast!
The voiceover work for Accuair was awesome. Congrats on all your success man. love the channel.
I've always been drawn to turbo 911's until I heard and saw this. Sick machine.
This takes me back to my Need for Speed: High Stakes days. God, I love the sound of that car. It's oddly relaxing.
Much better than the last Accord vid I watched, thanks.
This car is BEYOND EPIC!!!
Congrats Matt on the Road and Track Gig!
Farah looked very comfortable in that and made driving it fast look easy.
Great! Thank you!
And congratulations on making it to Road & Track!
Keep up the hard work Matt, great video!
Probably the best "TRUE" reviewer on youtube.. Thanks man!
Awesome video! Recently met you at my job a few days ago! You came to pick up a wide body hellcat!

I swear I could fall asleep just listing to the engine noise, it’s very therapeutic.
Mid gear changes sound fabulous.
That is the greatest sounding engine I've ever heard.
Congrats on the R&T gig, Matt. That Porsche is beautiful!
Outstanding body design. Gorgeous.

Gorgeous car, awesome road, spirited driving.

Very nice. Good write up for Road & Track too.
Congrats on the new gig Matt!

THAT is a proper sound.
Funny to stumble upon a Tedward comment on an old vid
So beautiful in every way. Even the rasp in the exhaust sound is sexy
Oh man, I love those floor mats.
What road is this on? That’s some insane scenery!!!! As always well done Matt you’ve got the best job!!
Undoubtly The Best Sport car you've tested so far..!
The engine note is perfect.
They haven't said what it cost. And by the silence you had while driving you look like you enjoyed yourself. Great view and great ep...!
Stephen Lee $525,000 base, $575,000 as tested.
It looks and sounds like it is worth every penny...!
no, it does not ......
The carbon fiber is what drives up the price. It's actually priced well for an almost completely carbon fiber car.
OMG WHAT BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR
993 Porsches will always be the most beautiful 911s...
