Sounds like almost every pretty girl on the planet. Personality disorders are a real thing.
Sounds a bit like an attachment disorder. You want a relationship but self sabotage, out of fear of being hurt. And it's usually childhood related. Like orphans or kids whose parents give them away. Or children whose parents divorced. Badly. Or maybe an unhappy marriage. .often, it's subconscious. . ( self sabotage)

For me , my parents separated when I was 8 years old , my mother abandoned me and left to be with another man. My father cared for me until he passed away when I was 16 years old . I had no guidance in those years and so many wounds carried with me into my adult hood . When it came to meeting woman as a adult , I would meet many but I couldn’t give my full commitment and I would leave early into the relationship or not give my full self because out of fear for a woman leaving me like my mother had done . I preferred to be alone and I got more comfortable with that . I guess the sigma male lone wolf began in me when I was a boy and to this day I am the sigma. However I too sort therapy and helped my healing in moving forward in life and to not have fear like I used too. It has made me a stronger man and I don’t have that fear anymore of being left . I have learned to accept things and knowing I will still be ok with or without a lady in my life . Thanks for telling your story also and keep up the great work 🙌🏻🇦🇺
Was one of those children. I can confirm, it’s true what you say! Unfortunately it’s like that! I wish I could attach myself and commit. 43 and no children or fam. Life’s hard without fam. It turned me into lonely man. Bless people
I heard a better version of how to look at this situation. I struggled with the same self-sabotaging behavior (SSB). It's true that a troubled childhood (in whatever form) can impact your relationships, but it's not directly. The intermediate step is that it set the floor for what you deserve, very low, which in turn causes that SSB whenever you get something you believe is too good for you. In other words the floor of what you deserve is too low. As adults, we can work on raising that floor through paying attention to what we think of ourselves and realizing that the voice in our head is not us. We are just the observer of that voice.
1. Emotional immaturity - lack of emotional control
2. Lack of accountability
3. Attention seeking

Man, I stayed in mutliple relationships where I allowed disrespect, selfish in a victimized manner, them thinking and saying they are one this but another in actions, or incongruency in the person profile. Most of my relationships I've always felt that if I wasnt entertaining or on top of them they would leave and most of them, granted, my research has been hispanic south texas women ... lots of them. Its sad. Because they all think they want a good guy for them to love forever, but, they don't have the knowledge to keep us, only to nag us into doing what they want as opposed to knowing that aspect of relationships just as we know the conquest and approach aspect of relationships. It is men who know woman way more than woman know man, and in this day and age where young girls don't get or want or receive constructive criticisim, man i tell you, many a times i've known a woman in two seconds more than she knows herself after months of interactions.
Cool that you are open about your reality. A lot of people in this world, both men and women, don't live in reality to take responsibility for their life and actions. Nothing wrong with with seeing a therapist Samantha Lee.......sometime it's easier for a person to verbally release something that's possibly deep down in their soul that may not belong there, and/or keeping one from succeeding in life. Some of my best friends have used therapy and they state that that was the best decision they have ever made.

U actually described my ex with the whole "runner" story only difference is I was willing to work out our differences I don't like running away from conflicts, whenever we would have a conflict she would cut our relationship off in an instant, & then she would try to come back, but I had to shoot her down, cause I'm not going thru that same mess again, cause it would teach her that its ok to keep running from conflict rather than trying to have a discussion so we can come to a resolution to help make our relationship stronger.
Good on YOU Samantha. Confession is good for the soul. ALSO taking accountability (which for most females seems like taking cryptonite to Superman) is a very good look. Here's to us ALL getting the help we need to get better 🥂.

My Ex wife had all these traits. They started small and stupid me (unexperienced) actually thought it would get better. I was wrong. I somewhat lied to myself also. In addition, when too much time pass, I just simply felt I invested too much even though I clearly knew I wanted out.

You nailed it, I learned much about relationships growing up. My parents divorced when I was 14 the marriage started falling apart when I was 12.Both parents told me they would not put me in middle of their fights but being a child 12-14 that is what they did unintentionally. Children see and can hear everything body language, heated arguments in force whispers, I was a human sponge. I had my heart broken but my High School sweetheart by her messing around with her ex (caught her red handed) while we were together, I dropped her like a hot potato. I am 59 with a body count of 6 due to my border line INFJ personality . At 30 I was married to my wife for 10 wonderful years (our fights included) until she passed in 2003. I only have 3 values I look for in any relationship Honesty, Integrity and Respect. If I am going to give you this, I demand the same in return.

Hey at least you figured out your toxicity young. I was in my late 40s before I figured out something had to change. I needed constant validation which caused me to be very successful in business but a chronic workaholic, nothing was my fault and although I wasn’t easily triggered, once I got angry I’d shut down awhile. Women that knew this would even use it to manipulate me. All they had to do was tell me how great I was and I was easy to play. I was so messed up I was with another woman..who just wanted sex..left her bed then went to my own wedding rehearsal. Of course I messed up that marriage working all the time ( and cheating). My ah ha moment was similar. Met a beautiful woman, beautiful soul, intelligent, funny, stayed in shape, financially successful who was down for me. Of course I messed it up and cheated with another woman…who gassed me up and played to my insecurities. I guess the girl had a hunch and stopped by one morning and caught me walking the other female to her car. I’ll never ever forget the look in her eyes. It cut her to the core. I’m so much better and it took some tough times looking into the mirror finding out why I acted that way and of course it went back to childhood. I hurt a lot of good women and have apologized to the ones I could. Cassandra will not accept my apology to this day. Girl..if you are reading this..I’m so sorry. I was a mess and thought you’d eventually leave me…so I made you leave. I hope you find peace and happiness.
