its a great talk but Rufo is hardly "leading the way" - Women have been at the forefront of telling this story - from Janice Raymond where the title is borrowed, to Jennifer Bilek where much of the back story comes from.

Bilek is spot on about "TRAN$" - its capitalist ideology - selling body parts, selling identity, the reification of the self leading to ongoing alienation, and like you say exploiting the weakest people in our society. It's not a left/right issue, but yes it is about conserving ideas of the human thru an anti-post modern lens.
i just get the feeling the Left in America has so totalled divorced itself from any semblance of its material and collective concerns that its almost unrecognizable from what many consider to be the left - the old left who stood for a re-appraisal of economic inequality - i.e French Intellectual Traditions like Ranciere, Badiou or marxist traditions stemming from Franz Fannon.
the gender critical toolbox offers some of the best ways and understand this ideology and although you are coming from an american perspective (the empire's origins)

Look at all the destruction in that short time. The money is putting foul books in school libraries, stopping therapists from actually helping patients and worse if you know anything about the pedo aspects. I have been thinking of Frankenstein in the wake of the transgender movement. Frankenstein is a tragedy. All good literature hangs around for generations because it addresses basic truths. The kids who have been forced into the transgender pipeline will one day rebel. The truth will be out. The tears will be many.

Yes, the story of Frankenstein came to my mind years ago when I started reading about this nuttery before anyone was really talking about it in the media. I was very concerned, and knew we were going to have a problem with "detransitioners". Started getting a bit weirded out though because no one around me, or lib radio (don't have tv) were addressing the issue. I switched to conservative radio because they were the only ones at the time who started hammering away on it.
They were right.
Now, we are all "bigots", and "fascists" if we question it. Ha!
And of course, now we see pedophilia (MAPs) being pushed to be accepted.

I do want the laws already in place to be enforced and for children, women, and everyone in a free society to be protected against criminality. This is among the best videos on this issue. It's quite interesting how Trans became so prominent so quickly. I think the internet had a big part to play, but without the normalization and even promotion of it schools and other institutions it wouldn't have the power that it enjoys.
What's fascinating to me is that the dialogue has shifted away from Gender Dysphoria (GD) and to identity. It seems that no longer is it that a person should have GD in order to qualify for transition but one must simply identify as Trans and that's enough to start the process. It's come out that centers know the right doctors who will simply sign whatever documents so that a person can start transing themselves. The whole thing has become a motte and bailey argument in the extreme. If you're opposed to transition they label you as opposed to health care for people with debilitating GD, but in reality they hold the opinion that it's all centered on identity. So if someone need only identify as a thing the system can kick into high gear to "support" them; putting them on a train who's final stop is surgeries and a life time of dependence on the medical / pharmaceutical / social work system.
When it comes to the power of the Transes, I think perhaps the most telling is the fact that gays and lesbians are basically not the center of the "LGBTQAIIP2S+" world anymore. Gays and Lesbians and Bisexuals have become essentially old news and their issues are seemingly secondary to those of the Transgenders. Now that group is fracturing because they, the gays and lesbians, don't want to have anything to do with the Ts and Qs. Frankly, the biggest difference between the LGBs and Ts is the medicalization and the permanent mutilation of the body. One can "experiment" with same sex attractions and later decide that's not them and suffer few if any consequences. As we are seeing via the detrans people, if you experiment with trans you suffer consequences for the rest of your life becoming as Chris Rufo rightly analogized, a kind of frankenstein's monster.

One encouraging thing is that as this stuff has come into the light people are starting to wake up to it’s true outcomes.
Ten years ago living in San Francisco (pre doom loop), I began paying attention to this. It was starting to come out in my actual life and I wanted to learn about it. I felt completely alone and felt like a cia mole living in the most uber liberal city in the world. Now I see this stuff everywhere online and in real life.
At least most of us do not believe in this stuff when it comes down to it. There are many that do but I’d say only about 10% (being generous) actually believe it I honestly believe that.
Like bell bottoms, this is a harmful social fad and will be a good reminder not to fall victim to socialist ideology. It will be relegated to the dustbin of history where it belongs.

Many of the girls transitioning to boys have been victims of horrible sexual abuse for years & some of them were being abused as long as they can remember. I think the nullification surgery would be very attractive to lots of girls with that background. The evil being done to these kids breaks my heart. When we as a society finally outlaw this evil, I hope we also at least try to put all of the people involved in this in prison.

Have you seen that there is a transgender digital archive online with such things as papers related to the first few international conferences on transgender law and employment policy in the 90’s? Might be a good resource for your investigations.
For example, the health project workshop report from 1994 talks about “identifying” a “new” type of child abuse, just to justify gender reassignment free for all as some sort of right.
