A Vango Helium 100 is my current tent. Not too dissimilar to your Terra Nova in design, but at a lower price tag. It has a few little niggles, but overall a decent option.

I really enjoyed your no frills review on this little beauty Julie. It seems that just to look at this little tent with the door down says buy me. Yes it is a bit shy on space but at 5' 10" so what its just an encouragement to go light and still be nice and comfy, leave the kitchen sink at home. Its surprising the weather conditions this little tent can handle with total safety. Some blokes have taken it up in the high country with wind guests that would strip all the feathers off a chook but no worries mate, she'll be right. You enjoy yourself Julie and we look forward to some more of these vids with you camping in this little gem. I only just found your site and subscribed.👍👍👍

You can get a tarp to fit over the tent which extends the cooking / seating area at the front and enhances the weather resistence.
I used a Vango Helium 2 on the Vélodyssée last year and although a bit fiddly to put up it was light and gave a fair amount of room (I'm 6ft 3ins) with room for valuables inside.

Looks like a good little starrer tent. At 6ft 2in not for me but hey ho. Re the flappy sides, people should be honest with themselves and ask if they would go at all if it was raining a lot. Nice video, thanks

Hi Julie, thanks for all the great content, my Mrs and I are starting our bike packing journey, I have roughly the same size bike as you what saddlebag are you using? My Mrs rides a XS size bike so finding bags that fit is a little harder lol.
    Thanks you!

Hiya Julie, I've actually seen this post before; as I actually considered this tent myself, at one point myself. I still enjoyed watching this a second time around.
Obviously, when backpacking, and actually carrying the weight on your back, then weight really makes a difference. But when fastened to a bike; what difference would an extra kilo, ultimately make? What are your thoughts on that?
A great little post. You should do some more reviews..(as I've only just discovered this wonderful channel of yours, I may find, that you already have; so excuse me if you have!)..as you seem to have real enthusiasm and integrity that comes across so naturally..I'd buy a second hand Bobcat off you..haha!
    Great review, thanks Julie 😎

Thank you for your lovely comments.
I really would go as light as you can afford. Obviously when you first start, it needs to be financially viable incase you its not for you. At later date you can really splash the cash.

The Alpkit Soloist seems popular - a bit more expensive but only 1.2kg,

I know a few people who are planning to use those. Think I need to give one a try. The price seems reasonable. Thanks for commenting Mark.

Would a bobcat 1 be a better option than a phoxx 1? I need it for camping in the Peak District in windy conditions.
