There is literaly no reason why the Doctor should let him self get shoot by the Astronaut. Also, putting much effort into creating survival-expert River Song and then putting her into an Astronaut Suit that negates all her abilitys is laughable and nonsensical. Stupid Silence. Rory is too good for Amy. The Last Centurion. The clever one. The loyal one. The wickedly handsome and daring one. The courageous one. Meanwhile Amy tries to kiss another man on her wedding day.
Honestly I’m surprised the doctor didn’t put two and two together in this scenario. If I was a time traveler and got mysteriously summoned to a random location and when I got there my friends were all mad at me for something I haven’t done yet and saying many things on the lines of ‘Oh my god you’re okay, how are you okay?’ The idea that they’ve just watched a future me die would be pretty high on the list of explanations
He probably figured it out, but just wanted them to say it out loud. Because he didn't like it that they were hiding something from him, even if he already knew it himself. This is why I like series 6, it makes the Doctor darker, with this whole 'who He trust the most' thing. Yes, 9th and 10th had plenty of dark moments, but 11 was dark in general, with all his cageyness and mistrustfulness. Pretty much like the 7th at his end, all childish and goofy, but give him a reason, and this mask of his will break in a moment, and He will show you what's behind it.
@@Chuck_Shurley Cagey and mistrustful is a perfect way of describing this Doctor honestly. He always kept the cheerful and childish face on but he kept so many secrets and rarely opened up fully to even Amy. I feel like it’s to the point where even he doesn’t know what he might do when that facade finally cracks. It’s exactly why I love the scene with the Silence taking Amy’s baby and he’s like “Oh look at that, I’m angry, that’s new… I’m really not sure what’s going to happen now.” It’s chilling.
I saw somewhere that Matt Smith insisted they do a real slap for this scene, even though Alex Kingston and the director thought a simulated slap would do fine. He wanted the 'realism', so they went along with him. They ended up doing multiple takes, however, and Smith was getting testy by the end, despite himself. Careful getting what you wish for!

The Doctor: Who’s Jim the Fish?
Amy: I don’t understand.
Rory: Yeah you do.
The Doctor: I don’t. What are we all doing here?
River: We’ve been recruited. Something to do with space, 1969. And a man called Canton Everett Delaware the Third.
The Doctor: Recruited by who?
River: Someone who trusts you more than anybody else in the Universe.
The Doctor: And who’s that?
River: Spoilers.
This show was a masterpiece
River mentioned that she and the doctor meet in opposite directions. Lucky for her there are exceptions like meeting the 1100 year old doctor who knew who she was before seeing 900 year old doctors again
I saw in the doctor who making of Alex Kingston slapped him so hard in this scene they had to stop for a minute to make sure Matt was ok.
That is the same diner as Clara’s TARDIS when the 12th doctor loses his memory
"Scientists are stumped." with a picture of tree stumps. The puns are real.
Music 🏌🏻
Sent a message to himself far enough back but not before he saves Hitler
You gotta love matt smith
I love the aesthetic of that restaurant
Later in the series the older Doctor looked to his friends and said "Sorry".
I think he realized why River actually slapped him in this scene^^
0:56 - I'm not sure I deserved that...
1:04 - I may have deserved that...
Rory poked him the same way he was poked as a Roman ❤😂
Imagine if David tennant had walked in.
Or Peter Capaldi
River: who did the doctor trust the most
Me: MIIISSSYY
**the doctor walks in**
Me:Whhhhhhaaaaaattttttt
To be fair the Master “is dead” right now sooooooo
River:“Who did the doctor trust most”
Doctor:”hellur”
@@christiangarza8122 the Master doesn't die, he goes into hiding until he meets Missy.
This is the same diner as Clara and 12 and in that scene they reference this scene
For a time Traveler he really doesn't understand that people could have seen him in the future?
The Doctor: 😃
Amy, Rory and River: 👁️👄👁️
So if his straw makes stuff more fizzy what happens when you breath throu it
We never did meet Jim the Fish
River:Number one who did the doctor trust the most
Me: (before the doctor appear) himself
I fucking loved this season
When my friends come to my masked bands gig and I magically show up after 0:17
fun fact: that's the same restaurant that where 12 Doctor seen Clara Oswald for the last time.
She slapped him so hard the music stopped!!
Is the TARDIS in the background of open doorway just coincidence or long planning of when impossible girls TARDIS was a diner
I know who the doctor will trust the most
The one dislike must be the master
It reached 500 likes without a dislike, then at 501, the dislike came.
I cri.
Doctor Who TV
XD
But is air sucked through the straw affected by it? If so, does it become fizzy, or is it transformed into pure CO2? What does fizzy air taste like anyways?
The “special straw” reminded me of the straw in Smith and Jones with David Tennant
Would you look at that! A TARDIS in a TARDIS. You’d think that create a paradox or something.
