J. Jennifer Espinoza (she/her/hers) reads a poem that addresses the scrutiny trans people are under in today's world.
"I have big plans. They involve staying alive." ❤️
As a trans person newly out the closet i've been struggling really hard and this was just in time. Your words helped, thank you.
I love this poem!! “In some sense I am the daydream of an alternate universe” is such an amazing line I can’t adequately express how much it means to me
-from a fellow trans friend
"I am here now, embrace me or get out of my way" is a line I'm going to remember.
I think one of the things this channel has given me that I value most are the voices I hear. Voices I wouldn't have heard otherwise. Thank you for adding yours to my experience and thank you for your poem.
“to love life so much we choose this brokenness just to have the smallest taste of it”
i am in awe. yes. that’s it. we are doing this out of love, out of wanting to live.
I really, really appreciate the diversity of perspectives on this channel. It’s hard to find elsewhere. Love it. 💕
that last section made me go "YAY!" out loud :) thank you J. Jennifer Espinoza for not being quiet
That was powerful and beautiful. Thank you.
This poem touched my heart!
Thank you for the perspective. This helps me understand.
I love that the opening reflects the seeming inevitability of trans folks being stuck in long distance relationships due to the fact that we can't find anyone near us who will accept us
I am so proud of this comment section, no hate!
I can't find where to buy this book anywhere I wanna have it and cherish it so much! such incredible work!
