Literally training twice a day, Drilled your techniques and won my last fight per ko using them. Thank you Jeff youre great 💯
thats awesome man congratulations!!!
What a looser
You truly became... a different breed ✊

For those asking if these techniques will work on Mike Tyson or Floyd Mayweather: If it was me fighting them, I would guess no. These are legitimate/proven counters that work against PUNCHES, but whether they will land or not all depends on how skilled your OPPONENT IS, and how skilled YOU ARE. Do I believe Sanechai or Buakaw can land these counters on the best boxers in the world? Yes I do.
How did you guys enjoy those counters? Let me know which one was your favourite!

Not only do you have the best mma channel on RUclips and the fact that you're a great fighter, I love how you're growing and improving along side your viewers
thank you Delan!!! I appreciate the support!
I can Say only One thing......
Oweeeee every High kick i see!

The fact that basically every video you post has live sparring footage to demonstrate the techniques & implementation is what's sets your channel apart
thank you man!
I just love how you show us your clips from your sparring sessions! Keep up the great work Jeff!!
thank you bro!! I try to only teach what I can pull off!
2:33 ...Most impressive accomplishment of Jeff Chan: handling Chuck Norris's jab like it was nothing and giving HIM a roundhouse kick ;)
haha!!
I find it curious that people who haven't sparred much don't realise boxers are not "slow" and "heavy". It's important that you mention a lot to train timing and mobility! Your videos are concise and very helpful with much significant info.
Boxers' legs are used only for moving around and positioning for strikes, offense and defense, therefore they do that job exceptionally good. It's the extra range of leg kicks that they are not used too.
true! thanks for watching!
Defeat a good boxer - use kicks
Defeat a good kicker - use punches
Defeat both? Grappling
Why dont we grapple them all?
The Khabib method
Mix it up, play to your strengths!

Amazing content

Great video Jeff! Very useful ways to land kicks.
thanks man!
Instant classic! Perhaps Muay Thai, wrestling, judo counters to punch-preferrers as well?
yeah!! I mean I titled it "boxers", but what I really meant was countering punches. A pure boxer is going to get dominated if they don't know Muay Thai, wrestling or judo.
Thanks brother
no problem!
Good one
thank you!
So goooood
thank you!!
I like this for opponents that use extraneous head movement. If I notice opponent is dipping head off center line with jab, I will invite them to jab and counter jab, further influencing them to feel ‘safe’ getting their head off center line. Once pattern established, I will use the lead leg to head.
It *can* be dangerous in sparring as I’ve had someone literally knock themselves out running their head into my shin. And this was after a friendly warning about over exaggerated head movement. But. All good stuff as always, Jeff. Love it.
nice man! good tip
i did the second combo in one of my first fights on instinct and it was a knockout. left kick to the liver when the opponent is attacking, is very effective .
oh wow nice bro!! thats awesome!
I do a lot of this when I spar, def got that from you, awesome stuff
awesome man!
@@MMAShredded just got done sparring, def used the low kick off a parry , worked well, thanks man!
Very nice
thank you!
Awesome breakdown. Looking forward to try this... at home for now. 😉
sweet! yeah gotta do solo training for now!
I like you start to advertise yourself more, the "remember to hit subscribe" button is a subtle reminder. I like it. You deserve more subs. Honestly watching RUclips has increased my fight iq quite significantly, and lots of techniques I feel like aren't even taught in gyms. I wonder if anyone could do an empirical study on how much martial arts you can learn from RUclips...
haha thanks man, hopefully it helps me get more subs :P
Best combat sport channel, always cool and relaxing videos.
Because i know you always answering to commentaries, i ask you : do you sometimes practice bjj in gi ? Do you think it's relevant in mma training and it is a video with you in gi conceivable ?
Sorry for my english, i'm french
I do practice in the gi. It is better to train no gi for MMA, but still relevant because its tougher to escape, so when you finally train without a gi, everything is so much easier to escape/slip out!
In Thailand, there are fighters with only the style of punching, the muay thai stage role, he defeats elbows and knees with excellent shortening. I will just say All kinds of punches There are always solutions to each other. And you can see that it only works when the fight is really defeated. A lot of practice is important.
true
Recently discovered your channel after Firas Zahabi gave you a rap on one of his podcasts. Fantastic tutorials, love the way you explain your techniques, then show them being used in actual sparring, especially respectful about how humble you are when you make mistakes or get hit during sparring. Really appreciate your channel. Grant (Australia)
thanks so much Grant! which podcast was this? I want to watch! haha
@@MMAShredded Hi Jeff, 43 minutes into the Usman vs Burns post fight analysis. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, I am 59, have been studying martial arts since a teenager and now I'm practising your combinations and techniques daily👍😁
thanks fo letting me know!!!
I like the parry to head kick! I'll try to use it!
awesome!
Amazing!!! I like this Channel!!!!!!
thank you!
Loved the last one will definitely use of it. It would be good once this healthy thingy is over for you come down to my gym in London, Jackapong Muay Thai or Team Underground :) Get some videos of head kicking me haha
haha would love to come visit one day!
Great video brother, all my comments have been erased by youtube and my account got disabled for 4 days, but I`m here again supporting you man.
oh no what happened? thanks for your support man!
@@MMAShredded My channel got banned for 4 days because "according to youtube" I was violating coexistence policies, just because I like to speak my mind, and ok, I can accept I´m kinda polemic guy when an argument isn´t going my way, but yeah, that´s what happened, just because I´m ultra respectful with you, as I consider you my good bro, besides you are a fighting beast, doesn´t mean I´m like that in other channels speaking about another subjects, but I guess from now on I´m gonna have to chill out in political arguments.... Anyways, my comments good or bad I posted since I have this account (2008) were all deleted 😁🤷♂️
Great video asual 👍,for me the best ways stop a boxer, samkor version just smashing the arms until there dead are brilliant, oblique kicks knee stomps work best as every boxer has to plant that lead leg to land punches, obviously leg kicks body kicks like Jeff says,
thanks for watching James!
Love the result I get from countering with my lead leg😂head kick almost always lands. Nice vid man! Keep up the great work!
haha nice glad its working for ya!
I shared and like then i watched 🔥🔥🔥
thanks my brother!
I've found that going straight down the centre line with a front kick (or side kick if you're flexible enough) can often go through a boxers guard.
Admittedly this was back in my school days before MMA was a thing. I was doing *Taekwondo* and there were a gang of kids that did boxing (and everyone tried to copy boxing moves).
I even managed once to get a head high leed leg sidekick that sent the other kid _across the deputy principles desk_ as he was loading up a right cross - he started it!
But basically a leed leg sidekick snapped out fast can be very frustrating to a boxer, and of course there's Anderson Silva's (and JSP?) front kick knockouts.
haha nice man!
I always use the parry to headkick much love
nice man!
That body roundkick counter - oof. I felt them through the screen.
haha cheers!
Damn Jeff. I'm going to start calling you Sensei Chan. This is really great stuff
thanks brother!
I like the lead low inside kick . It’s quick definitely gets opponents attention and stops them for the moment. Then you can follow up with something naughty off the rear leg 😈
yeah!! cheers!!
For a boxing style fighter, the pocket is the best place to be to mitigate kicks. From that point on its more about who's stronger in the clinch
cheers
Sempre treino as dicas do Jeff
cheers!
I’m a tall southpaw and my weakness is when fighters blitz on me with their boxing, and I’ve been trying to counter that for a while now. I’m super excited to try these strategies out!!
the body kick/long knee counters should work well for you as a tall guy!
@@MMAShredded Thank you so much Jeff, I’ll try that out tomorrow at mma sparring!!! 💥🥊🥊🥊
Good work Jeff, Bruce Lee used similar tactics with his Lead Hook Kick and Backfist!
thanks Marcus!
@@MMAShredded
No problem Bruh! You take the bruises while we get the benefits!🤣
So Jeff Chan is training for the Goldphantom crossover! Good luck bro!
haha
EXCELLENT WORK JEFF.MY ASIAN BROTHER YOU IMPRESS ME ALL TIME.VERY STRATEGIC.😉💪💪💪🙏
thank you!!
@@MMAShredded no problem brother.
Thank you Jeff e practice Krav Maga and a lot of movements and techniques that our coach tell US to do and we train on our sparrings i can see in your chanell you are a great Fighter and you explain things pretty well keep doing this videos 👍
thanks for watching bro!
Great video!
I am noticing that this will only work because the opponents are either hesitating to enter or disengage back into kicking range.
If they actually dragged their back leg with them while punching and got their structure into punching range, I think it would be harder to pull of.
Then of course: you have other followups for that.
But I still see that these counters works because his opponent are doing mistakes by opening themselves by half-entering with punches at kicking range.
The counter for this would probably be to close in and allow the kicker to attack first, and then counter with punches .. but then this video would be named: How to counter a kicker with boxing!
Maybe you could make a video about this? (if you haven't already?
thanks for watching! These are def counters that work, but as for anything, if your opponent is more skilled than you, they will figure out how to anticipate/deal with your counter. And if you are more skilled, than you will figure out a way to time it so that they can't do anything about it.
@@MMAShredded
Which makes this so damn eternally interesting :)
Want to make a vid about countering kicks with punches too?
Would be cool to see your view on that as well!
Thanks bro, my next opponent has a very punch heavy style. Ill remember this for when i rematch him
awesome!
The head kick ones seem like money. The last one gave me peter artes vibes
haha! I like the lead high kick counter the most!
I tried this in my boxing match and it worked nicely😏
sweet!
@@MMAShredded it was a strictly boxing match lmao
Brilliant video. Do you kick with your foot on purpose and if so is there anything I should be watching out for? I understand in some styles you're told not to, but wondering your opinion.
thank you! I like to wrap my foot/ankle around the target whether thats the neck, waist, thigh or calf!
Reminds me of Kenichi. This is educational af 🔥🔥🔥
thank you!!
Lmao I'm on the episode where he learns to low kick to beat a boxer and that's why I looked up videos on this
i wish to own a head movement like you bro
I have a few head movement tutorials on my channel!
Nice tx men;)
no problem!
Amazing technique 👌, always loved ur video Jeff chan ❤. Hope so one day meet you and also train and spar with you ☺☺
thank you suraj, I hope to meet you one day as well!
Great video mate. Now, do one on how to defeat Wing Chun. Lol!
haha thank you!
this is very good, these techniques that neutralize opponents, who generally have a predominant style, MMA needs to study basic techniques and strategies just like you do, this is very good. thanks and you shut up being a warrior for fighting, because it’s not for everyone and what you teach is important for combat.
thanks brother!
Can u explain too what if ur fighting with an aggresive peek a boo, example in a real sparring
Very good sparing thaiboxing with kicks...👏😄✊
thanks for watching!
