If you find yourself getting hungry and thirsty too much don't forget about the Iron Gut perk, it can help a lot.

Yeah, every time i see that perk, i think "should i put another point in it?" 😅 I'm hoping once our "final" base is established and we have plenty of dew collectors/farm plots, we'll be ok, but i'll keep it in the back of my mind in case we get desperate (again).

Yes, your loot stage will go up as you move through the successively harder biomes, from forest, burnt forest, desert, snow, then wasteland.

    • @ShojikiGaming
      @ShojikiGaming  Месяц назад +2

Ah good to know! I've also just realised i kept calling the burnt forest the wasteland, which of course is another biome altogether! 😅

Also, I guess a thought of mine on the matter... Making higher level of the more expensive tools or weapons seems a bit like a waste, when improving them by just one level. The difference seems quite miniscule, though I do understand that seeing higher numbers makes brainium happy.
And one more thing, which I can't get enough... I absolutely love the new design of the bike, it's just so damn good. Just driving on a dirt road with this bad boy feels amazing... Ahh, absolutely love. It.

I haven't actually crunched the numbers on the difference between 1 tier to the next so i don't know how much of an improvement there is. But you're right, knowing i've got the best tool level i can have at the time certainly helps with those endorphins! 🤣
Agreed, the new bike model is awesome! And it has brakes now! 😁

I have mixed and matched my armour and it seems to work for me using clubs. Heavy armour for outfit and head then Preacher gloves for increased damage and Enforcer shoes for speed. Not sure where best place is for a base but needs to be close to a trader.

I'm thinking this may be the way i go too. I know armour can give set bonuses, but if individual parts help us focus on the skills we want to use, it may make sense to do that!
The general consensus is to build a base near a trader, so i think that will be our aim. Trader Rekt can take a flying leap though, and since we've yet to meet the other traders, we'll settle near the lovely Jen 😁

@shojiki try do a bunch of quest for the trader and loot the quest area before accepting the exclamation marker at the quest area.remember to always leave ur bicycle outside for quick convenience as zombies dont attack them unless it constricts their pathing to you so vehicles are safe if used properly.collect as much dukes(gold coins) as possible up to 6k because all the mods for your rain catchers (6 so far) would be roughly around 13k or 6.3k for 1 rain catcher.you can always make this cheaper by the "better barter" skill.daring adventurer is great if you wanted to rush quests and get more loot as payment from the trader and better drop rates in poi's

Personally I dislike Navezgane map a lot. Everything is spaced and you have to spend unholy time just moving around. For your base: definitely as close to a trader as possible. You save lots of time running to trader and back. Maybe something on the green patch of grass near Jen for a while? Birds chirping and all haha. Why would you buy ammo from traders? thats just crazy expensive. save ammo and do melee as much as possible. Best value for money is to buy casings and bullet tips. also cobblestone is dirt cheap; you should never skip on those. You NEVER skip on fetch quests: its crazy fast to just grab satchel and maybe endloot if easy and just bail. by looking at satchel distance on top-right corner you can approximate where's satchel located; same for elevation. Game gives you an easy here: just take it. Sure, you wont get as much dukes but you will get quest reward and will progress faster; reward for time spent: fetch quests are no1 on my list. Also, ALWAYS go though traders quests; all tiers; if you see anything related to Crack-a-Book: you take it right away. Theres some POIs thats also filled with books; should keep names of those POIs in your little book of yours.; maybe mark where's end loot at too. For your skill points: Parkour 2 ASAP! You will also have to decide what gun should compliment your playstyle. Easiest would be Boomstick because youre already quite advanced in strength. Healing factor is the worst. Youre using your hunger to heal. cheers.
BIG TIP: cigar gives you +1 strength and you can also get +1 strength head armor mod. So you dont have to level strength to 10/10 but only 8/10 and still have highest 5/5 skill in Pummel Pete and other strength attributes. So at soon as you see cigar at trader or strength mod: you drop everything and buy it!

Some really useful info here, thanks mate! Yep i think in the green, as near to Jen as possible, will be our location for our base. I'd like to take over a POI for a home base and then look at building a horde base not too far away.
Good shout on the Crack-A-Book too. Never occurred to me to check the locations of all quests before taking one!
I think Parkour 2 is definitely high on the priority list now. Anything that helps us bail when things get desperate is good in my book!
Interesting to know about the cigar. Is that a permanent item you equip then, or does it just give temporary strength boost when you smoke it? May have to look into that! 😏

@@ShojikiGaming cigar is a mod now in 1.0. You can consider a different headpiece with different mods in them for your needs for a while. Cigar also gives you 10% bartering with trader. I had a cowboy hat that had default bartering, I added cigar to it so for a while, while wearing that hat, I had 16% bartering with trader.
2 bases from a content standpoint: bad idea. what are you even defending? a couple of blocks? whats the point? Its considered a way to cheese the game. People appreciate much more when states are high. +you will definitely forget some stuff to build, ammo, meds etc.. you'll have to go back and forth. its more of an annoyance.
Another big plus to have both bases: crafting and horde together: at some point you WILL spawn screamers randomly at your crafting base. You'll need some kind of "horde base extension" to your crafting base to manage screamer threat (screamers can now spawn other screamers btw so if you dont kill screamers fast enough youll endup with a full blown max zombies horde!) . Yeah in 1.0 managing two separate bases is a headache.

I am a complete wuss when it comes to night time in this game. Honestly, we'd probably be ok on a normal non horde night, providing we didn't aggro too many zombies. It's only because they run at night that scares me! 😅 That being said, i would like to try out a night time raid on a POI, so maybe that's something we'll look at doing once we've gotten some better armour and lots of bullets!
