I hear ya, I spent hours over a few different days watching them. Mid November it doesn’t take long to get chilly being outside though so I’d try and stay out as long as I could before getting too cold.
Thanks! Nope no small baitfish around here, I would think they would avoid this area as much as possible during the spawning time or if they do come around they probably don’t last long!
Any thoughts on why they were bunched up like that? Or on the new location? Interesting to see how some of their tale fins are worn/damaged. Thanks for sharing.
Yes they were grouped up in this area for spawning. This was a slightly deeper area 10’ or so with lots of shallower rocky substrate surrounding it so my guess is they would stage here then head into whatever spots in shallower water they preferred to spawn on, probably under the cover of darkness. They were actually biting some each other on the tails which is why some have chunks taken out. They don’t make redds or nests they’re broadcast spawners so I knew it wasn’t from tail fanning gravel but eventually I did see one charge in and grab another by the tail.
Have you done any in waldo county Id like to swan lake and half moon pond Swan has a lot of white perch i believe and halfmoon has some big brook trout
Absolutely incredible
I could watch this for hours. Thank you!

So funny how they are all in a line, @5:23. This was amazing footage once again!
Thank you 😊
Another memorizing video. Awesome.
Beautiful clean water.
It really is, one of my favorite places!
Interesting music the Lakers tuned their radio to while cruising the rocks!
Lol 😂 that’s right!
I try to see all of your vidios this one was GREAT!! ( noticed there were NO smelt around 😆😆 or any other small " FOOD FISH ") 👍👍👍💖💯

@@MFEGoingDeepGot that right!! :-)
That is a lot of fish. They maybe look like a group of football fans slowly milling about until the stadium gates open. ;-)
Haha! Yup I can see that

I haven’t been to those yet but have heard of them and will certainly keep them in mind! I think Swan lake has some nice Lakers in it too.
Can't wait to see it
What lake is this? Awesome video
Thanks! Schoodic Lake
could you Bring down a chicken leg and or something in the claw and watch the fish pick and eat it?
Not sure if they’d pick at a chicken leg but I like the idea. I have some ideas to hopefully capture fish feeding on video once the lakes freeze up.
