    The officers on duty were incredibly kind. Honestly, if I were in their position, I’d be so frustrated, lol.
    I’m unsure whether to believe the girl from the UK or not, but the information is readily available in her native language, so there’s no excuse for being uninformed. When traveling, it’s essential to do your research and understand the rules. Her decision to go to New Zealand to reapply for a tourist visa suggests she’s well aware of immigration laws-she just didn’t want to pay for airfare or couldn’t afford it, which seems pretty clear. Despite the officers’ kindness, she still threw a tantrum. Another tell-tale sign was her mentioning wanting to check her future visa sponsorship, implying she was actively seeking work while on a tourist visa-a blatant violation of the rules.

    When they said that Singapore airlines was fined 5,000$ for fly the guy without a visa…is that because they flew him into Australia or because they had to transport him to wherever it was?

    • @k.r.3598
      @k.r.3598 7 месяцев назад +5

      The fine is due to Singapore Airlines not verifying that the guy had a valid Visa. Singapore dropped the ball, and will have to pay the above fine.
      I would imagine that the passenger will have to work out the cost of the return flight with the airline. A friend of mine who works for a US-based International airline told me that the airlines have to have a certain # of seats available on each International flight for use by each country's Border/Immigration Agency for officially deporting individuals. And yes, this means that passengers may involuntarily get bumped off the outbound flight to make room for the deportees. And if you happen to be flying Stand By/Space Available status (employees, family members, retirees, etc. on vacation), you'll be the first off the flight.
