    America needs to operate more like these people. Illegal vessel? It gets burned so theres no chance of more illegal activity involving that vessel and makes it that much harder for the criminals to continue.

    Don't overstay your visa. It's very simple. You have a VISA for X amount of months, leave before that. I don't get why people think they can just come and go as they please without checking for when they are supposed to go home. I've been a world traveler since I was a child. My father explained this to me and I never overstayed a visa in my life.

      This was filmed 20 years ago, $500 went a lot further. It’s about $100-$150 a week for groceries now, would’ve been almost half that back then. 2 litres of milk was only $2 in that era 😳

    Why do they lie? I just don't get it, they know they have the food and that their cases will be checked etc. How are they not embarrassed? Then argue about it when they get caught, lol I would fine them for lying to my face in addition to the other fine.

      Why struggle with all the extra weight? Is there no food in their home country? I would not even carry anything for myself, I just obey the rules as it's much easier. Only my purse as hand luggage. Folks stop giving grief to yourself. I love watching the show though just to see silly people.

    Deborah may appear sympathetic but she’s not innocent. She overstayed the original (valid) visa by 4 months before seeking another visa which she now learns is invalid. She knew she was excluded for 3 years from breaching the valid one. That said, I hope she’s able to return and have a lasting relationship. Also, nothing is stopping Matthew from traveling to see her in the UK. That person who gave her wrong advice should be prosecuted.

      I think what's being implied is that South Africa ISN'T the whole of Africa its a country unto itself and that gent is probably from Gana or Nigeria ect very far places from South Africa infact but it's in continent of Africa. Unfortunately any dark skinned person says they from S.A & as is it's has a major drug problem with mostly Nigerians at the fore entering, staying & supplying the stuff .

    I cant believe that they cancelled the poor pensioners vacation wasted all the money that he spent on ticket and hotel accomidations. He probably doesn't make very much from his pension and was trying to enjoy the few years he had left and he was trying to do it on the cheap.....poor guy

    I will never understand why people intentionally smuggle in food that you can buy in nearly every supermarket here. Even people who live here do it. It's also a waste of money, if you want to bring something back why not bring back something legal you can't buy here? You have limited space in your luggage, why waste it and risk fines?

    I think the went overboard with the Nimitz couple at the end. All for some bananas 🍌 they were not concealing them, older couple and the first time traveling. They made it such a big deal! I’ve seen those Chinese people suitcase after suitcase full of food 🍱 and they sometimes even wave the charges.

      ​​@@Imakemixes666it's on the customs card. Bananas are extremely controlled in Australia for biosecurity reasons, we can't even move banana plants between the East Coast Australian states... just declare on the card and nothing happens.
      It's seriously not hard to look up customs rules, even back when this was filmed... not to mention the CUSTOMS CARD 💀💀💀

    These are old. Its been known that paper money carries a residue of illegal drugs. You can get change from a Walmart and never know where it has been or used. Hopefully there are better protocols in place for this.

    First mistake about Mannuel, No native Italian would pronunce Roma in English. Secondly, Emmanuel is not an Italian common name, Emanuele si. Thirdly, everyone with an Italian passport must speak at least a bit of Italian, they need to pass the language test as well. Lol

      Different laws- carrying a gram or less of an illegal drug as a citizen of the country may be considered for own use, while more is indicative of drug dealing.

    I am not defending the first guy, but I have used the same exact passport photo for almost 20 years and never had a problem, I Only changed it when everything went electronic and now most govt agencies take your photo on site ....... before that I Just made sure I always had several copies of the same photo on me always . so if I had gone to Australia 20 years ago they would have sent me back . I have gotten stopped and asked if I was the person on the photo several times but after producing older and newer document with the same photo it always panned out
