      Same here the perma unlock for some gun/tool/consumable is what I was pondering about as well I do prestige everytime I can right now and not being able to play with some gun kills me like for example sniper variants / avto / carabine officer those are just guns that I have no been able to play for several months because I just hit lv100 before I enve unlock those variants and that's when I prestige and that repeats If there would be perma unlock token to chose some weapon variant to unlock that It would help a mega ton and I don't even care for the difficulty of the unlock for lets say if you want Avto unlocked thanks to token you would first need to unlock all previous variants before it then you automatically get it (ergo skip unlocking for that one variant) and on top of that lets even say that for you to spend perma unlock token on some weapon you would also need to have its mastery finished too
      even after all of that it would still come very handy

    They need to make it so that you dont lose weapon progression unlocks when you prestiege. Having to re-earn all of the variants and custom ammo types of a gun is harsh and really pushes me away from prestiege. The way I see it, Titanfall 2 did Prestiege really well. They give you shiny badges and banners for your titlecards but the only things you need to re-unlock are only things tied to your basic level up rewards.

    I think that every player should prestige at least once. It’s fun going back and playing with old guns and reworking playstyles, rediscovering the fun in lower tier weapons now that you have the skill to use them more effectively. Rediscovered a love of the Vetterli this way via prestiging. The only problem is that you lose so much, have a mountain of more grind, especially now with the ammo unlocks, and you don’t really gain a whole lot from it.

    Hunt players love legendary hunter skins. Legendary weapon skins people can take them or leave them, but every event we've had has shown that people want those legendary hunter skins. I like the idea of having legendary hunter skins that can only be unlocked via prestige. That would provide a lot more incentive to prestige, and would make those skins much more legendary when you come across them.

  • @Sharleee
    @Sharleee 3 года назад +8

    I like this token thing, my own idea was that once you unlock variant of the weapon or custom ammo it stays unlocked as long as basic weapon is unlocked. What i mean by that is once you hit bloodline rank for certain weapon(lets say 72 for mossin) you get all variants of that weapon that you've already unlocked. Maybe you could combine this systems together so you would use this unlock tokes for custom ammo and special variants of weapons and whatever you pick it unlocks when you hit bloodline for that weapon. That way you still have only tier 1 items after prestige but you don't have to waste time unlocking everything again durring your bloodline progression.

  • @mathieugirod6485
    @mathieugirod6485 3 года назад +9

    I agree with your perma unlock idea for the prestige system.
    Personally, I was imagining something closer to a "creeping perma unlock" where you do not have a choice of what weapon you want to unlock but rather having the low tier stuff slowly but surely getting permanently unlocked so that the more you prestige the more your tech tree comes unlocked for each prestige.
    That way you still keep the curent unlock system the way it is but thanks to the creeping perma unlock it would get less and less tedious the more you progress.
    The other benefit of that system would be that any upcoming weapons and tools will be easier to unlock since the tech tree would become smaller for the more experienced players.

    Mike, I actually put a similar suggestion to the unlock token idea in the Discord. My version varied slightly. In short:
    Every prestige you get an unlock token on top of the reward.
    You use the unlock tokens to go down the unlock tree.
    The weapons don't actually unlock until you unlock the base variant (so a freshly prestiged character cannot buy a Mosin out the gate, they need to get to the appropriate BR to unlock the base mosin, but once they do they have all the variants they've purchased unlocked)
    Certain 'capstones' require multiple tokens (big dynamite bundle for consumables, avto, dolch precision, etc.)

    As someone who always prestiges (no matter what) I really hope they add the permanent unlock tokens at some point but more exclusive skins (including hunters or the hunter customization once it drops) would also be nice. Usually when I'm at Bloodline Rank 100 I have not unlocked the C&K Slugs, the Uppercut Explosive, or the Avtomat. As much as I would like to try out C&K Slugs, prestiging feels more important for me.
    Also this stupid "use x items to unlock the next" should be avoided, going into rounds to use up 4 weak stamina shots just to unlock the vitality shot is simply annoying. Having the prestige unlock tokens work just for the Book of Weapons stuff would be entirely sufficient, just to remove annoying unlocks from the prestige loop. I'd say you should always get one permanent unlock token and the 10% XP Boost for each prestige, no matter what. I'd even say the 10% should stack - so a Prestige 5 has a 50% XP boost, but I can see how that would be a bit too much on higher prestiges (1000% on a Prestige 100 lol?) - maybe reduce the XP Boost percentage to 1 or 2% but make them permanent and stackable.

    • @Necromancer-Noxx
      @Necromancer-Noxx 3 года назад +1

      You could also set a limit to the XP-Stack, so you can't go over the 50% but these you'll get all the time and in addition some nice exclusive skins. I personally don't prestige at all because I feel there's nothing that I would really gain from it. The few legendary skins that I want to have are easily unlocked by just playing the game long enough. And I really hate unlocking certain weapons all over again, the perma token is sth we need asap. Then I'd probably reconsider about hitting the prestige button.

    dunno if can be another suggestion but......a part from agreeing with the "perma unlock token"........ after going for prestige 4, to try what the experience was with the custom ammo, spoiler it's a nope for me, now there are really too many items, weapons ecc. to be unlocked;
    but if there were a system of modification which you simply buy the gun and you put on the weapon, after unlock the variant/modification you buy the scope or bayonet or a "pack" with barrel, drum, trigger ecc. to convert a conversion caldwell into an uppercut for example ? working like the custom ammo, buy the mod and put it on/in the gun, but like unlocking a bayonet and you will have bayonet unlocked for all guns that have that bayonet (may apply this for custom ammo, cause i can understand the different calibre with guns but we're also in a game and would be nice to unlock compact fire, poison ammo ecc. and thats it, but also know that could bring to other things to unlock by rank, but maybe there is another solution.........that i'm not seeing)
    You may ask why this and what has to do with the prestige possible suggestion and......i will start to say that i feel like certain weapon and variants haven't much differences or uniqueness, for me, to choosing them instead of others, so i was thinking about that i will not buy a certain weapon, but only his variant........so MAYBE this could help even with the "prestige perma token"
    But i still think i'm missing something, so i would really like to hear opinions from Mike and others peoples, so thank you even just for notice the cooment, hope all good for ya'll

    @lukesolorzano 2 года назад

    I am P100. A few things I learned that helped. Pick a few specific weapons and run them all the time. I ran winnie variants till I had sparks then sparks iron or scoped. If I was having a good prestige and had money I would then run mosins. Getting used to a few sights and bullet speeds will keep you winning more games. Romeros are great too if you like them, I dont. If you struggle with money start rounds out with a few quickplays so that you have a buffer, some free hunters and guns. I retired every hunter until I was in the 60-70 range. Early on a level 30-50 hunter can jump you almost 7-10 bloodline levels and unlock a bunch of things you need. later on a level 50 only gets you 2-3 bloodline levels. If you double bounty and server wipe on a 50 while you are level 70 though I have jumped 8-10 bloodline levels. Worth the risk to me later on. I think the way to fix the prestige system is this. You should have the number of prestiges subtracted from the blooline for unlocks. Like a P5 would start with the first 5 levels of unlocks available. a P75 would start off with all unlocks to 75 unlocked but need to get to 76 to get the rest. This would allow someone with a thousand hours in the game to start with a lebel or mosin which is fair with that type of investment. Good luck and support region locking!!

    More unlocks & Permanent Tokens would make such a huge difference & would also help the new hunters to catch up with the veteran hunters without making them gimp on a constant basis while also still trying to learn the game. - i have been playing since Hunt came out & i have no issues letting new players catch up if it brings in more players to the game.
    As always Mike good video sir!

    Also another note that I've seen another hunt RUclipsr point out but forgot his name: replace the challenges with a challenge tree, because right now you can accidentally do the challenges without even looking at them. His idea was to make it something like in dead by daylight where you have to select personalised challenges. Something like vault through 20 windows etc. And so you advance in the challenge tree where you unlock more skins or perhaps could be free weapons in game for hunt.

    A few different ideas on how to make Prestige better, ranked by how hard it is to implement:
    Easy:
    Instead of a flat 2000$ or 10% exp, each prestige gives a permanent and stacking 1% increase to both (so at Prestige 100 you earn double xp and money)
    Medium:
    - More Legendary Skins that are exclusive to Prestige (including Legendary Hunters)
    -Prestige Forge - Starting from Prestige 1 and every 10(could be 5?) levels, the Forge upgrades, giving you a free (but contraband) random weapon every day for each level of the Forge (so if you're prestige 31, you get 4 random free contraband weapons, the weapons also can be higher level than your bloodline before you unlock them (depending on Forge lvl)
    Hard:
    -Unlock Offline Singleplayer, story heavy trials that involve tales of the Legendary Hunters and their achievements, also you automatically recruit the Legendary hunter into your roster with the inventory from the trial into your roster for free, the first time you complete it
    (Lets say for example Prestige 5 unlocks a Legendary Hunter skin along with the Sparks skin we already have, then we also get a Trial where we have a voiceover talking about the story of the Hunter while we have a huge horde of Armoreds approaching us and we have Incendiary ammo and we keep unleashing fiery hell while a voice epicly tells us about this exceptional Hunter's life, then when we finish it, we get that hunter for free with the Sparks with Incendiary)

    I feel like two easy changes that could make prestige more enjoyable, at least for me personally as a casual player, would be to stack the exp. boost (maybe make it 5% instead) and keep your money. Like I have around 20k at the moment so I try to spend all that money before I prestige. I bought the most expensive stuff almost every time and I'm still at 18-20k after dozens of rounds.

    My only tip for ppl who are thinking of starting to prestige is, get into the mindset that you're prestiging now.
    It's not something you just like "hey i wanna prestige once now."
    And then you play normally to 100 again and just stay.
    Best is to just get into that mindset and just keep trucking until you hit a good checkpoint where you stop, for example 11 as mentioned by Mike.
    Or at 25, 50 100.
    Another tip is, make challenges for yourself during prestige. Like that you'll only play Winfields or only Crossbows or only compact weapons etc.
    That can make it more interesting to prestige.
    It also gives opportunity to practice with weapons you normal don't play.
    So if you're at 100 and don't prestige and you feel the game gets a bit stale or maybe repetitive, prestiging is a very good way to make the game feel fresh again.
    Hell it kinda caught me off guard just how empty you start at bloodline 1. I had played 500+hrs at prestige 1 until i decided to actually prestige. Now im close to prestige 4 and def pushing for prestige 11 atleast.
    You only get like health kit, knife, winfield, nagant & small vitality shot when you start anew.
    Literally nothing else.

    Add challenges that carry through prestige levels. Example would be a challenge to get hunter kills. Unlock at prestige 1 and your progress with the challenge carries through to prestige 100. Reward for completing the challenge could be a skin, BBs, or hunt bucks. Iterate the challenge everytime you complete it; so first version is "Get 100 Hunter Kills", next iteration is get "200 hunter kills", etc.

    I think something that would be cool that gives players "something to grind for" is a kind of personal missions type system. Give each gun in the game missions to do with it, something like "50 player kills with this weapon" and everytime they complete a mission on it, maybe give the weapon a 5% hunt dollar discount when purchasing it brand new for a new hunter and such. Then after completing say 5 missions that scale up in difficulty each time, the player gets a really nice skin for said weapon and a 25% discount on it just to show its the players favorite weapon. This on top of a perma unlock token could give players incentive to prestige, maybe even dedicating a whole prestige level to a weapon, just so it feels like they do having something to grind for.

    One thing I would love for prestige is instead of starting your bloodline rank over it starts over at whatever your prestige level is. Say at prestige 50 you'll start out at rank 50. Because it actually makes that prestige 50 to 100 gap a bit easier.

    Some of my notes: if they want to add value to prestige, all they'd have to do is add a couple exclusive hunter skins.
    Also a benefit to prestige that you missed: it wipes all of your book progression so you can grind those blood bonds again. Not much, but if you value blood bonds, it's a pretty decent method.

    I always prestige as soon as I can, Idc how much stuff I have or don't have. Why? Simply because it's part of the fun with this game, being "forced" to play different weapons, try out certain things, work for a specific unlock, but also always going back to the beginners struggle without being one, actually quite the contrary, I would rather get bored if I would always be LV. 100 with all the unlocks so I always prestige

    I started prestiging this year after I played already 1400h.
    On the one hand I like it because it forces me to play different Loadouts and P1 an P2 gave me Waldmann and Drowned Rat.
    On the other hand it is tough for me as a casual playing dad.
    I often miss ammo types that I need for challenges which are already hardly archived because of my low play time per week.
    Now they changed the retirement to level 50 which is also really hard to achieve for me.
    I think I will continue to P11 and then I will wait and see what comes along

    My take on "should you prestige?": I personally don't/won't, because I'm a massive gear goblin. It took me ages to unlock the different variants of almost all guns (still lacking the Lebel, because I'm so bad with it), so I don't really feel like resetting all of that hard work, especially now that we got the special ammo update and I had to take those same guns and re-grind for the ammo variants. I would theoretically like to reset the progress, but it would break my heart in the end, so I'm not gonna risk it :D
    (Now that Mike explained that the killshot of a weapon grants the xp, maybe I'll start grinding the Lebel. I honestly didn't know that, thanks Mike!)

    I really like the idea of a perma unlock, if you like a gun in the early ranks then it isn’t that annoying to prestige. However if your like me and you prefer the sparks llr or something up around rank 50 it’s slightly more annoying to prestige and have to unlock that again.

    I think a rewarding prestige choice would be a discount option. like for each prestige you can choose a single weapon to have a discount on, maybe something like 10-5%. however make it so that you cannot stack it all on one weapon like the mosin. I think a much higher end idea would be animation unlocks, i know that sounds odd but think about it, as you prestige your hunters become more "professional" and they unlock new things like reload animations that are optional. purely there for style points, of course they can't be faster than normal reloads for balance purposes, maybe make them slower or the exact same speed as a normal reload. idk just a few ideas

    My improvement to the prestige system would be to keep weapon variants/ammo types unlocked after prestige. You would still need to reach the Bloodline level to unlock the base item, but the variants will automatically be unlocked once you do. For example the Conversion pistol is unlocked at rank 22; but if you have unlocked the Uppercut on a previous prestige, it will automatically be unlocked when you unlock the regular Conversion.
    Perhaps balance it out by requiring players to earn the unlock 10 times previously or by activating this only after prestige 10 (or later), but I think this would go a long way to ease the grind of repeatedly re-unlocking these variants. Especially with the custom ammo types, unlocking a specific variant after prestige can be a huge pain.
    Personally I wouldn't go for perma-unlock tokens as the value is completely lost once you unlock the item normally, but I do see the appeal.

  • @sirminty8495
    @sirminty8495 3 года назад

    I love Hunt because of the guns specifically. Prestige takes my option to use any of them for any hunt away. If I want to run a winfield, I can, if I want to run a mosin sniper, I can. It's down to my choice. Skins are nice, but it's perfectly fine to unlock the BB ones over time. I don't feel pressured to get them really. I might change my tune if I get bored, and want to place myself under challenge, but right now it's far too much fun to have my freedom in gun choice. Especially since I adore shotguns and don't want to give them up.
    However, this has led to a problem in my eyes. I'm too wealthy for anyone's else's good. If I wanted to run Mosin Uppercut every game, I pretty much could. It would take dozens of matches of me failing to get any good money for me to actually not be able to afford the best gear if I wanted. Best way to fix that is to reduce how much money players earn as their wallet increases in size. Or cap the wallet at say 9000 dollars. Right now I have 30K dollars to spend on weapons and gear and every mission I walk in with a full outfit of consumables, quality guns, and equipment. And people around me aren't either. Most of my matches consist of either mosins and lebels fighting and shotguns working around the onslaught of long rifles. But that's another problem.4

    For instance, prestige 1 will have a kda, and it'll reset for prestige 2 and so forth but keep the data stored/displayed somewhere so you can track your progress as well as having a total kda for all of the prestiges.

    I've been thinking for a long while that they should do a forced prestige as soon as you get to rank 100. While I understand that only changing this one thing would have substantial effects on players, I feel like it would add a bit of game balancing to the mix that it would be worth doing. If you're doing so well that you prestige sooner, it sort of gives people that aren't doing so well slightly better loadout options.
    This has the added bonus that players can't just stick with one type of play style and loadout as easily, forcing them to adapt in other ways and become better players.
    I do understand that as content creators this would probably be a huge inconvenience, so I'm not 100% saying it should happen. I just think that, in general, the positives of doing this would outweigh the negatives.

  • @jeanneandre7224
    @jeanneandre7224 3 года назад

    Prestige should give you the XP boost automatically, like it's just 10% to reward you for going through with it.
    Then more legendary skins to unlock, they could use the community made skins, there's some really good ones.
    And I like the idea of a perma-token, but maybe just have a few of them like say one for your long slot, one for medium slot, one for small slot, one for tool, one for consumable, one for traits. That way you still have to unlock a bunch of stuff, but you can use your favourite things from the start, say you love uppercut, doctor and decoy fuses and use it every single game, you can still have them after the prestige.
